I'm a middle aged, heterosexual, male, Lincolnite, Husker fan (MAHMLHF) who has lost his former best friends to bull sh*t reasons over the last year. Not a weird-o. Wives/Girlfriends/Kids/Dogs are 97% sure to dig me. 3% is because Gallup did the poll. Joke. Thinking of getting an HD sports package w/DVR for the season but it is hard to justify if I'm the only one watching. On the flip side, I have always got $10/15 to contribute to the PPV fund and I bring beer and some bad-ass guacamole. I do stand up and yell at the screen often. I drink beers and sometimes the ole' Irish whiskey. I smoke (outside). Swearing is optional. I like Hendrix, Entourage, Zeppelin, Saving Private Ryan, Beastie Boys, NCAA football, Monty Python, Soundgarden, Lost, Tribe Called Quest, Dexter, Halo and Johnny Cash and a lot more. If you know who Terry Gilliam is, we might have been separated at birth.

Barring the unforeseen, having a senior Green and Burkhead on offense does not sound too bad. Smells like BCS contender to me. We would all like to see everyone skip that first year so they can develop, mentally and physically, but this staff really will play the best players. Unlike the previous admin which seemed to throw true freshman at holes in the dam mid season. If they do play Green, I really hope they red shirt Washington.. If he never exceeds 2nd string, he could back up the #1 for a year after Lee departs.

Can we advance the week tonight? I need to fix a bunch of bone-head recruiting mistakes. Not many 4 and 5 star guys digging the Beaves this year. I'm guessing that 4 out of 6 star programs are intended to target the 3* and lower bracket? I've done my dynasties on 08 for the original Xbox for the last two seasons. Couldn't live without the spring training drills. Damn I hope they add them again at some point. Anybody here play the PS2 version of 09? Did they keep the spring training, jumping the snap with a timed button press and third person field goal blocking? I've never manually blocked a kick in any 360 version. Also miss being able to create a custom playbook and formation specific substitutions. The online dynasty option is sweet though. Scared for when I try to talk the Rodgers brothers into sticking around next season. Used to saving before that step and making sure everybody sticks around.

Just meant that at first I didn't see how to get at my rosters so I could name them all manually. As the guy above said, when our dynasty got started the names were auto generated. For the last two years I've used the fully named file from a dude named "CollosalChicken" that I found over at Operation Sports. It's a good place to start but there are always a few errors (Castille as a FB). Easier to fix than to make from scratch. Happy to place it in my upload slot if anyone wants it. Or you can get it from "pastapadre", they appear to be the exact same file.

Give me a break, home-skillet. I'm proud of the swift action and the message it sends the team, but who set the bar for these "principles"? Would you say Dr. Tom? Tell me that LP would not have just been cut from the team if it weren't for his redonkulous gifts. If he had been a perpetual 2nd stringer, he would have been off campus and in a counseling program that day. Even the best coaches can be fallible when it comes to discipline and raw talent. Just saying if it was Helu, or God-forbid Suh, they might have offered a window back. (completely dependent on what "it" actually was)

Whatever it was our team is better off without the guy. Could have been performance enhancers, smoke, underage girls, booze or maybe a growing attitude problem. You don't cut a solid back like Quentin Castille unless you are 100% convinced that he a detriment to the organization and that you can fill his void with talent. As much as we loved his hard hitting style, he was not a wunderkind and he had no fifth gear. There is one thing about our stable of young backs that we don't know yet. Who is the guy that can simply make things happen when the world is watching and the crowd in Blacksburg is trying to drown out the audible? Sounds like the coaches are confident they have one. I'm sure there are a couple more in there.

So once you advance us, will I have the ability to fix names, #'s and height/weight/race on my roster file or will we be locked out from making even cosmetic changes to them? Edit: Nevermind, I figured out how to back up to get to my rosters. Cannot adjust height/weight understandably, but can change name, # and complexion.

Are you going to download the official EA roster fix before you start the dynasty Husker NoNo? You get it from gamertag: EASCNCAA10 I'm about to check it out for the first time. Maybe the Beavers will have at least one FB in this one so I don't have to convert a HB/TE into one. Edit: Checked it out and I see no difference at all for Ore St. Not sure about the others.

It runs just like a normal dynasty, we do recruit against each other and all of us playing in one conference will definitely make things interesting. In this dynasty (unless something changes) you will have one week to do your recruiting and play your game. If you are playing a human controlled team, you will have to message that player and schedule a time to play each other. Other than that, you obviously cannot restart game. If you do restart a game, a nice little icon appears and we all get to ridicule you. It is really a great time and I think that you will enjoy it, especially if you enjoy playing dynasty on your own. Thanks for the clarification. Sounds good. I have plenty of free time in the PM to be available for match-ups. Not sure I understand the point of the recruiting unless people plan to take these teams and turn them into regular dynasties afterward, but a week to make my coach calls is plenty. I've never done online dynasty mode before. I know we all compete for the same recruit pool, but isn't that only important if we planned to simulate more than one season? What are the main things a newb to the online dynasties should know?

The magic 8-ball is telling me that WR is going to be the beautiful surprise that the D-line was last year. Between what I saw at the Spring Game and what they are saying about Kinnie, I'm not very worried. Don't even get me started about the TE's. Players and coach. Brown may be a little church-y for some, but he is a soldier for all that is good in the world and hell of a nice guy to boot.

This team is just oozing well-tempered confidence and some serious determination. We aren't Nebraska because we attract all of the "top" talent in the country. We aren't Nebraska because you can come showcase your talent here amidst a media circus. We are NEBRASKA because we we coach up the right kids, with the right staff in the right way. We teach them to look past themselves and join a brotherhood. To become a stick in a bundle that cannot be broken. I say your infinite patience will be well rewarded Husker Nation. Better days are just around the corner. When last season has been revealed as no anomaly, the word will spread. The Husker legends of tomorrow will find their way home. I was born during Tagge's touchdown in the Game of the Century. I bleed scarlet. I know in my guts that we are on the cusp. Writing a paper for my comp class about Tom's hiring process. I know Gill was in the mix, and Jim Grobe (I believe). Are there any other confirmed interviews T.O. had before hiring Bo? Did Brian Kelly ever speak with him? Kiffin? Thanks for any info.
