  1. Mr. Osborne is the living godfather of Nebraska football. When unfinished business is done he will turn the keys over. He hired the right man for the job and Bo is slowly but surely building a defensive empire My vote is T.O for at least 2-3 more years.
  2. In that case, the Pelini bro's only go after big time players. This kid has a chance to wear the sacred N
  3. I assume Watson knows what he is doing but I would have started Washington over Green. When Cody gets in the game I grab a new beer. He makes me nervous...very nervous. I hope he learned a lot this past season and has one helluva off season. I know Washington has ton of talent and hope we get him on the field one way or another.
  4. Mizzou good...? I guess they did beat Iowa State. 9/05 vs. Illinois 1-0 (0-0) W 37-9 9/12 Bowling Green 2-0 (0-0) W 27-20 9/19 Furman 3-0 (0-0) W 52-12 9/25 @ Nevada 4-0 (0-0) W 31-21 10/08 No. 21 Nebraska 4-1 (0-1) L 27-12 - Quarterback injured 10/17 @ No. 16 Oklahoma State 4-2 (0-2) L 33-17 10/24 No. 3 Texas 4-3 (0-3) L 41-7 10/31 @ Colorado 5-3 (1-3) W 36-17 11/07 Baylor 5-4 (1-4) L 40-32 11/14 @ Kansas State 6-4 (2-4) W 38-12 11/21 Iowa State 7-4 (3-4) W 34-24 11/28 vs. Kansas 8-4 (4-4) W 41-39 12/31 vs. Navy 8-5 (4-4) L 35-13 Let's not discount the impact of Gabbert's injury on that team. I hear you, I just think Mizzou is overrated. I never have or will respect them until they have proven themselves. They beat Nebraska a couple times...you can not kick a dog while it's down and get respect. Even when Mizzou was considered good they still could not compete with Texas or Oklahoma. Gabbert might have been injured but we won a National Championship with Tommie "blood clot" Frazier. Sorry, just dislike Mizzou is all.

  6. Ha! I'll be the 6 and you'll be the 9 in that little contest Mister...or is it I'll be the 9 and you'll be the 6...no...that wouldn't work...hmmmm... Runaway Train!!!
  7. Highly unlikely...But, Spano is injury prone, Lee's elbow is a ?, Cody is a big ? when he is under pressure and we have not seen much of Washington.
  8. Going against the grain here but I don't wish or care about Owa's luck or future anymore then I would wish or care about Ronald Powell. Just because Owa considered Nebraska doesn't mean squat. He was N, he was out, he was N, he was ...???...He was N...??...he is GONE! He followed his heart and chose to put his future into Rick Neuheisel's hands. Granted these are young kids making tough decisions but signing day is over. Welcome to D-1 football and the only luck I wish Owa is that we don't break him in half with a pancake in 2012....Good Luck Owa!!
  9. I was born and raised in Nebraska and I too bleed Husker red. I live in Colorado and a lot of my friends out here are from all over the map and they too love the Huskers. In fact, I have a friend from Alabama (Huge! Auburn fan) that watches every game with me and knows all about the history and tradition. There are Husker fans out there that have never stepped foot in the state but grew up watching the mighty N. The more the merrier!!
  10. It sounds like nobody including Owa knows what he really wants. "Rumors, speculations and good sources..." Sounds like we are trying to track down Osama. In any case all you can do is hope and of course say the Husker Prayer.
  11. An outstanding ending to the day would be Owa being N. Not only for Bo and the Defense but we would jump Mizzou in the rankings. Ever since booger I have zero love for that program. That would be my icing on the cake.
  12. After the roller coaster ride Carnes took us on it's not over till the fat lady sings.
  13. I took the day off to hit the mountain. After all this build up my day will not official start until Owa is N. If he chooses door #2 or door #3 instead I am going back to bed. It's a beautiful day here Owa, I would love to get some turns in. Thank you!!
  14. It's a great day to be a Husker... 2 for 2 so far come on Owa join the family.
  15. Bo and staff is just finishing the game. Welcome aboard Mr. Cooper.
  16. I have not been on the board for awhile but it feels good to be back. It feels like the night before game day and the anticipation is killing me. All I can think about is Cooper with a N on the side of his helmet picking off Gabbert and taking it back for 6.
  17. Here we go again...Tomorrow couldn't come soon enough.
  18. Lets hope this good news was the tipping point...now they will all come tumbling in. I can not wait for tomorrow.
  19. My guess is we finish mid-20's when the dust settles. I am happy with the class we have now but we are the University of Nebraska and it's hard to satisfy that hunger...to settle for anything but the best.
  20. I am not surprised by Nebraska being ranked #31 on Rivals. I do bolieve we will finish a little higher come Wendnesday. I think Bo is on the right track and even though he doesn't care about stars, he will finish with a top 10 class in 2011. Another dominating defensive performance this year and he will have top defensive recruits waiting in line to be taught by the Dean of Defense. I was surprised to see Auburn ranked as high as #3 and Boise State ranked as low as #81. After all the success Petersen has had over the years (Bryant coach of the year 2006 & 2009, overall record of 49-4, beat Oklahoma, beat Oregon twice and currently ranked 4th in the nation) and he still can not pull in top recruits. Boise State has only had one four star recruit since 2005. And Chizik must be promising those kids immediate playing time and a back massage by the cheerleaders after each practice. Just my thoughts...Go Big Red....lets finish the game
  21. That would be a huge additon to a lackluster offense. The kid looks like a playmaker and that is what our O is missing.
  22. Any update on Heard...? Just looked at HuskersIllustrated. Braylon Heard "A Huge Addition"
  23. Darrell Scott leaving Colorado football, hopes to play at UCLA. Scott was rated the nation's top running back and overall No. 2 prospect (behind current Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor) in the 2008 recruiting class. Injuries limited him to 95 yards on 23 carries this season. He was CU's all-purpose yardage leader with 694 yards, the bulk coming on kickoff returns. CU medical personnel were hoping Scott could make it back for this Saturday's home game against Texas A&M, although the Nov. 14 road game against Iowa State might have been more likely. -Denver Post I believe Scott was the Buffs future like Green will hopefully be ours. Tough loss for the Buffs. As Husker fans we have to remember it could be a lot worse than what it seems. Go Big Red!!
  24. The only problem I see with that is we have 8 backs on the roster (1 Junior, 1 Sophmore, 3 Freshman and 3 redshirt freshman) Looks like we forgot to recruit in that area up until the last couple years. The thing I like about Bo is once he see's a weakness, he loads it. (ex..DB's in the 09'' recruiting class) I have a feeling this will be the last time on Bo's watch that this area will be our weak link.
