i disagree... Mo will get drafted even without a great combine.. Bowman will also be drafted because of his speed.. he could of gone decently high last year, and i don't see that changing much, but he will have to perform.. also i can see someone using a late round pick on Keller just because he has had flashes of brilliance.. and hes been coached by sh#t here.. Draft Maurice Purify Zac Bowman Carl Nicks Sam Keller Steve Octavian (with a great combine showing) Free Agency Steve Octavian (with an average combine showing) Courtney Grixby (possibly because he has looked really good in special teams this season) Bowman will have to prove his speed at the combine in order to be a lock to get drafted. Due to some of Purify's off field problems, he will also have to have a good combine. In the end, I wouldn't be surprised if Octavian isn't drafted the highest of all the seniors. If Purify walks in and runs a 4.6 or slower 40, I think he'll be a very late draft choice. I still think all of these guys need a good to great combine to be drafted in the first 3 rounds. the way that purify has overcame all of the off-field problems and drama that has gone on in his life and put up good numbers in a struggling offense will be good enough for the scouts initially.. how many balls has Mo dropped? not how many balls thrown to him are missed, but actually dropped? bowman will have to prove his speed to be drafted as high as he was projected last year, not to be drafted. IMO, our top 2 prospects are Mo and Carl, but there is a possibility that octavian can sneak into that also if he shows well for the scouts.. as i said before Sam will slip into day 2...and possibly late due to injury

i'm not defending what he did in anyway.. but it DOES show passion for what you're doing.. if you honestly don't give a sh#t, your not going to do anything like this.. at least it does show a passion and fire to succeed

i agree with you, but if Tech was in the north, i think they would be a much better competitor than they are in the south.. we moved the ball quite well against kansas.. i think they are top 3 let alone top 15 atm.. so therefore we have moved it, no matter how you feel about them.. texas is top 15 right now.. we seemed to move the ball ok there.. no matter how you feel about that, you stated we have yet to move the ball against any top 15 team.. well, we did against those 2.. and actually, we were ok against (at the time) the #1 team in the nation in the 1st quarter and a half..

1st off.. great post.. but i do have to disagree just on the basis of what cally has said about TO in the past.. he has been completely disrespectful and that cannon go unnoticed... i am in no way a callahan supporter.. but he has brought in the type of talent that we need to continue to be successful in today's college football scene.. i do not think that a power-i would continue to dominate like it did in the mid 90's. so in his defense in that aspect, he helped us turn that corner... If cosgrove could just put out a CONSISTANT defense we'd be in a lot better shape. Crikes..if they played the way the did in the first half of the USC game we'd probably be unbeaten right now!! But you can't expect the offense to carry the team alone forever. Calahan could have avoided all of this by being on top of the D. He let Cosgrove run it alone though. You see the result. Anyway, keeping Cally and canning Cos is ONE potential decision I can see TO making. I think the most likely is regime change though. if they played the way they did in the 1st half against usc there would be holes big enough for cars to drive through.. oh sh#t.. wait there are.. i think the QB does have a lot to do with this.. while sam has the talent and arm.. joe can move around in the pocket and escape defenders.. kansas is probably the best defense aside from USC that we have seen all year.. remember everyone was looking for a SHOOTOUT against mizzou? thats because their defense was every bit as bad as ours.. A&M we did fine in the 1st half.. it was just after half it went bad.. but yet again, not an elite defense.. and what about texas? i would consider them being pretty talented on paper.. and we did just fine against them.. so its not just the fact that the offense doesnt work at all.. it has had its moments.. its not horrible.. just too complicated for a college system, especially in this age where true freshmen are almost expected to come on and have some immediate impact on the field.. on that note. we need a new coach. we will have a new coach. cally is done. sorry.

explain to me how solich was such a bad hire? he went to the NC in 01.. he continuously won games.. he had one bad season.. but oh wait.. we still went to a bowl game and still kept our records alive.. TO thought that the people he had in staff positions were great at what they did.. it took the one bad year for Solich to get his own guys in there.. then he brought in people that got done what needed to be done (and looks like most people want bo back)
