Great story...if this even happened, I think the 'man in the tux' was having some fun with the guy -- at least he got some free drinks.

Similar to something I was posting a few weeks ago -- if Pederson dismantled many of the traditions, how was Callahan suppose to embrace or understand what existed. I keep going back and forth in my mind if I believe that Callahan is gone or not...I do think there is a chance that he stays...who knows. I will wait until Saturday or Sunday or Monday...

Like so many other rumors -- I agree, no way the players know anything about the situation with regards to a new coach. No way it would be kept from being leaked. No way we even look at Pelini as the next head coach -- this was some guys pipe dream that he posted and it has become all the rage on the boards. Of course, I reserve to be wrong on any of all of the above statements.

Thought the announcers were okay at best. As for the picture quality -- might have been good, but they kept going with a wide angle shot and doing a zoom in as the play started -- many times with the camera off-center. ..just terrible play coverage.

After all the pounding he has taken in the last fwe weeks that they have not been able to coach the talent that is on this team, I cannot really blame him for trying to put up a counter-arguement based on Ganz's performance over the last couple of games. He could have stated his case better...you know, Ganz is a grea kid, has dedicated his time over the last couple of year to learn and understand the system. His work ethic and work with the coaching staff and paid off and the results speak for themselves...you know, good coachspeak like this...

Lucky is great catching the ball and running, but as a running back, he does not appear to fully understand how his running lanes are suppose to develop. In many cases I do not believe he is a patient enough runner and he gets up to the linemen before the play has fully developed. I believe Marlon needs another year of college ball. I also believe he has an excellent chance of becoming a good NFL back.

I shared this sentiment until a couple of weeks ago. Callahan made it fairly clear that he would not make changes to his staff and handles those tough decisions. He also alienated many people in recent weeks with his comments (e.g., "I have done an excellent job...", "...too complicated...") and therefore done too much damage to his image and relationship with fans. Callahan was also refused to let Joe Ganz play earlier in the season when his offense was not working -- not saying Joe would have made a difference, but what was being done was not working and a change, even for 1 quarter, was needed. The attitude, the meltdown on the field, etc. I just cannot see it working out now.

Defense might have given up a bunch of yards, but it made some big stops, pressured Freeman, and helped the offense opened up the 38-10 halftime lead -- after that, it did not matter much -- game was over. Great win and I happy for the seniors and Ganz.

I thouhgt Kiffin should've been in the mix last time. PD blew that one. I remember hearing he said he gladly would've accepted the job. Instead we get BC and the rest is history. I brought him up again, a little while back, many on this board think he is too old to recruit. Might be a little old, but IF he did bring in Lane also, then maybe...
