  1. Good article by Barfy. I'm surprised. Yes, these are a few of the BIG reasons we are leaving the Big 12 and that's not even talking about the upside of the Big 10 academically and athletically compared to the Big 12. If Texas wasn't such a big headed assbag, the Big 12 could work as well as the Big 10. But, now have fun in your defunct league next year and have fun in a few years when the "Big 12" is no longer. See ya!!! Kick Texas ass Sea Bass!! GBR!!
  2. I was talking to my friends at k st. game and I think we've won every toss this year. Does anyone know or know how to find out?
  3. I'm looking for a hotel room in Lincoln for this weekend for Friday(15) and Saturday night(16) at a REASONABLE RATE(~$90-$110/night). Preferably with two beds. If anyone is a manager of a hotel or knows someone who knows someone that can help me out I would be greatful. Thanks!!
  4. He seems to be just like Quincy Enunwa. I love it! After some early love in the press, Enunwa has all but disappeared. Hopefully he gets some touches as the year goes on and this isn't a wasted redshirt. Pretty sure his redshirt is still intact. He can play a certain amount without losing it. Maybe someone else more in the know about this can enlighten us on that. But, I don't think he's played nearly enough to have lost that. Think Bo used him to push some of his veteran receivers early in the year by playing him. Unfortunetly, I'm pretty sure that any amount of playing time means that you can't redshirt. Granted, my source isn't the greatest but it was the best that I could find: "Contrary to common belief, the redshirt rules state that any amount of participation in a competition will trigger the use of a season of competition, and therefore he/she may not redshirt that season."-Wikipedia on redshirt Ya, after thinking about it, I think I was getting mixed up with a medical redshirt conversation from this board sometime last year. We were talking about how many quarters a guy could play in order to receive a medical redshirt and it was some percentage depending on how many quarters the team plays during the year I think. So, never mind, brainfart. Thanks.

  6. I think we are probably actually slow playing him a little and waiting on some of our other DE recruits to make decisions. I could maybe see taking him as a grayshirt if he would want, but in that case I'd guess he'd go to Oregon.
  7. I'm sorry, but getting a what, 16 or 17 on your ACT is not that hard. One of the dumbest guys I knew in high school got a 18 his second time with no prep course or anything. If he's serious he needs to get his head in books, take an ACT prep course, and most importantly if he is a bad test taker, do many, many practice tests with the same time restrictions on the ACT. You just have to be dedicated. If he's not dedicated to do this, I don't see how he will be dedicated enough to learn our offense so he can see the field. We all know from the past 3 years, if you don't know the O or D, you don't get to play no matter how fast or athletic you are. Let's go Braylon, I'm rooting for you. Put your nose to the grindstone!!
  8. Oh, it could still get that long because if he commits this early the rumors swirling around from then until signing day will be thick giving more than enough to speculate about!!
  9. We sat in the club level. We were able to drink in this area. Beer, liquor, and they even had a little wine bar. However, I have to say the design of the concourses was horrible. Waiting in line forever for food, beer, and worse yet bathrooms. The guys line was long. Not near enough bathrooms/urinals/pots. Cool inside the place where the football takes place, but the club level concourse area not designed well. Oh, and not to mention having to wait forever to get down the fricking escalators after the game. Jerry, Jerry, Jerry. For that amount of money you should always make sure there is enough room in concourses, enough toilets, and standing in line for 45 minutes to get food is ridiculous. I was impressed with inside of the stadium with seats, field, board, but was less than impressed with the rest of it. Should be alot better for over a billion bucks.
  10. Actually, if I was SJB I would rather just redshirt this year. Because in another year we will have a better throwing QB and his chances to catch balls will be better. Whether it's Martinez throwing to him, who I will guarantee will be a better thrower next year, and actually believe he will continually get better thru season and will be pretty decent at end of this season. Or, Brion Carnes may win the job in which he is much more a passing QB with good mechanics. And Green will mature with another spring and summer too. Anyways, if I was a receiver for NU I wouldn't mind biding my time and learning the offense good and come in next year with a better throwing QB no matter who it is, Martinez, Green, Carnes.
  11. Stay in K.C. and make the drive for the game. Manhattan sucks.
  12. I think still a good chance to get on espn or deuce at night. Evryone in country knows this is a revenge game and if we go in undefeated still gna have alot of hype
  13. Anyone have an update on Compton? Is he practicing yet? Really think he will be a big part of us stopping the run wen he gets bak for the rest of the season.
  14. It looks like some sort of tribal tatoo u see guys from the pacific islands get. But it does give me chills throughout my bodeh.

When I lived there McGee's(by depaul) was a husker bar. It was always packed for Husker games with red clad people. Then all of a sudden one year they weren't all of a sudden. Can't remember which team they catered to then. Actually I think they went to more of a Big 10 bar if I remember right. The place was never the same. They also redid it and made the front larger which was nice, but took away from the hole in the wall atmosphere. Maybe they'll go back to a Husker bar since we will be in the Big 10(12) next year.
  16. Um, can you say Adjuster!! I'd put money on that's what he'd play if they keep him on that side of the ball.
  17. By "got him right" do u think he was talking bout money? That's way I thot web I read it.
  18. Anyone else glad martinez got rid of the white tape he wore on his ankles the first game? It really looked weird. The black blends in alot better. Man there really isn't much to talk about.
  19. If the university sold all theirs that's all that matters. Don't matter if people show up or not.
  20. Did you notice that guy fall on the Husker fan after his little schtick on TV? If that wasn't planned I'll bet she was pretty pissed off. He just laid right on top of her. With all that gold paint on him, I'll bet some of it rubbed off on her clothes. That was my sister! I sh!t you not. As soon as it happened my Mom called and asked if I saw that and I was telling everyone I was watching the game with. We hit rewind and sure enough it was. I talked to her and she said the stadium attendants came down and asked if she was O.K. She was, but she said her head was a little sore. She was actually walking down an aisle to get back to her seat and he decided to jump into the aisle at that exact time. Pretty crazy!!
  21. There are more WR's that can run good routes and be posession receivers, but there are only a handful of WRs every year that can go down field and go up and get balls. That is something that is hard/impossible to teach. It's an instinctful thing. However, if he can't block he won't be playing for us. I really feel that's the number one thing Bo and company look for in receivers. There are guys that sit the bench now that can catch the football and get open, but they don't play because they don't put forth the effort in blocking. Kinnie was a man blocking on the outside against Washinton!! He was/is a big part of why we ran/run as well as we did/will.
  22. MSU has more than big balls!

  23. THERE are parts of it in this years tunnel walk.
