  1. His BIO sounds a lot like TO's. Unfortunately we need someone with a defensive mind to put the Black Shirts back on the first team D. I just keep coming back to Bo P. ...T_O_B
  2. Might be OK as ad but as a coach he's too old, he coached in the all too NFL like big ten and that's just too manny strikes against him. We need some young blood that can bring back the fire that burns Husker Red in the hearts of all in Husker Nation. ...T_O_B
  3. This morning on Mike and Mike it was suggested that Lou Holtz's son, the HC at Eastern Carolina be considered a candidate. ...T_O_B
  4. In a season that hasn't had a lot of opportunities to LOL a little levity is appreciated. ...T_O_B
  5. Signs in yards and taunting family members are evidence that some in Husker Nation are not as mature as they should be. Losses hurt all of us. Mostly they hurt the young men playing the game and the men entrusted with coaching them. Pederson made an error in judgement when he hired BC. BC has made several errors when hiring his coaching staff. Never buying into the Nebraska Tradition was the most grevious error of all. For 30 years we had the most stable and productive college football program in the nation. Right now times are tough and the manner in which we choose to conduct ourselves now and throughout the rest of this season and maybe the next couple of seasons will be the test that will show if we really are the nation's "Classiest Fans." Like a Phoenix Big Red will rise from the disappointments of this year and will again be the power we once were. GBR!!!!! ...T_O_B
  6. All I hear is Bo P and I agree I think he would be great but who am I and who are You ??? LPOet's face it our oppinion doesn;t count for squat. Maybe Bo doesn't want to come back. Who else are we looking at? ...T_O_B
  7. WHO NEEDS GABBERT? WE NEED LINE MEN TO GIVE THE LIKES OF GABBERT TIME. SO LONG GABBERT WE REALLY DIDN;T NEED ANOTHER CALLY QB!!!!!
  8. Ya, that'll work Always did, newcomer.
  9. You and I have are saying the same words out of different mouths. Having Q and Cody in the same backfield looks to be a can't miss combo especially if the OL could make some holes for them. Running Lucky off tackle is a waste of his talent. Get him the ball where he has a bit of room and can use his speed and moves. GBR GBR ...T_O_Bull
  10. Remember the '94 Season? Frazier got hurt and Berringer picked up the reigns and guided the Huskers to an undefeated season with a little help from the third string QB who also won a game and occasionally filled in. What's keeping us from taking a look at Joe Ganz? Could it possibly get any worse. Nothing against Keller but in the last three games only 32 points, 14 in second half of a game that was already over and no points in the last two quarters. Time to see what Joe can do. ...T_O_B
  11. Ya, that'll work Dan F 30 The Walk On Program was a good one. The players who came via this route were committed, knew about Husker Tradition, contributed to the over all mind set of the team and played with heart and soul. The coaching they got produced a lot of good players and many great ones. I don't know if it will still work or not but its certainly worth a try. At least with these kids, men, we know they want to play for Nebraska and not just for some NFL has been who might get them into the Pros. Like your posts, GO BIG RED. We'll have a red beer together in differeent cities at about 2:00 PM and get ready to beat Texas! Again GO BIG RED T_O_B
  12. You r right about it being 21 years but they were 21 great years. Always 9 or more wins, almost never losing to the likes of Kansas, Kansas St., Okie St., Iowa St., lots of big wins against the likes of Penn St., Alabama, Auburn, Fla St. and others and yes some heart breakers. Every year we had a legit shot at being Number One. T. O. has never got the credit he deserved from the national media. He was a low key interview and they would rather talk to coaches who are "colorful." Lets face it Nebraska was the best football school in the country for 30 (THIRTY) years. Coach Oz sits at a tabel with Joe Paterno and Bear Bryant. Bowden and lots of others stand outside and look in through the door. The "Ole Ball Coach " coached against T. O. once and got crushed, Fun and Gun was One and Done against the Big Red. Any one can recruit in Florida it takes someone special to recruit in Nebraska in the winter.

  14. I know we've all been thinking Bo P. and Turner G. are at the top of the list to take BC's place but there is another possibility. Bobby Patrino may be on his way out at the Atlanta Falcons. He was the hot college coach last year and hasn't been in the No Fun League long enough for it to have ruined him. ...T_O_B
