  1. I think Winston is the more NFL ready QB but his maturity level is certainly a factor. What happens when he has money, freedom and not a lot to do until pre-season practice? If I was paying him a boatload of money I' be worried. Won't have that with Mariota. As for Gregory, if he can stay healthy, he will make some team one hell of a line backer. T_O_B
  2. A tough gritty QB who won several NFL Championships and I believe the first two Championship games between the NFL and the AFL. He is all too often left out of the conversation when the great pro-QB's are discussed. Happy 81st Bart Star. T_O_B
  3. One can never be too bold, just too old. T_O_B
  4. With the low interest rates we have house payments are on a per with apartment rent. If something could be done to lower down payments many families could perhaps afford to own. I also know that there are a lot of families out there that are not responsible enough to own property. Sounds like a problem for bank loan officers. T_O_B
  5. Well he's only got 2 years left to totally screw everything up and then the Dems can blame it all on the GOP. T_O_B
  6. 80 years young today. One of the best ever. T_O_B
  7. Sue Ann Arnall obviously has a male attorney. She has accepted the check. Still a dumb broad, but a very rich dumb broad. T_O_B
  8. Am I reading this correctly to assume you're saying that beating Penn St (on a par with OSU and Sparty ??) is going to be more difficult than an "occasional challenge" from Nebraska? Or are you referencing the divisional hurdles in the first place? Occasional I would assume means they are not on the schedule every year. We don't see Mich til 2018 as it stands. It wouldn't surprise me that we only play against a Harbaugh led team once or maybe even not at all. John having the only Super Bowl Ring in the family is a strong incentive to move back to the NFL. Burkhead

Well he is on a playoff team, like the Chiefs. Oh, wait . . . A playoff team that got beat again and under-used him in the second half. If I were Rex I'd go to KC in a heartbeat. Better QB, better HC. T_O_B
  10. I'll ask that you refrain from comments like this. He's a Husker, tried hard and put forth effort. Then again he had lunch with Warren Buffet a couple of weeks ago, that says something. I also totally agree with ETR. Taylor played his ass off. Only problem he had was that he spent way too much time playing hurt. Good Luck Taylor. T_O_B
  11. And then you find a better job. T_O_B
  12. Ever wonder who the dumbest person in the world is? You hear it said all the time, "So and so is the dumbest." Well the question has now been answered and we don't have to wonder or debate anymore. Sue Ann Arnall soon to be ex-wife of Harold Hamm, the chief executive of oil driller Continental Resources has rejected a settlement offer of $975 million. This is generational money my friends, and by that I mean that she and her family would always be rich beyond the dreams of most any of us. If she invests the sum and it earns a very modest 2% she earns $19,500,000. a year. Save $5 million out of the earnings and her net worth spirals upward rapidly. But no this woman has said no, "I need to try for more." Sue Ann Arnall has graduated from Village Idiot to Dumbest Person In The World. I need to give her a call, I have a bridge for sale. T_O_B
  13. IMHO if the NCAA decided to investigate the SEC we would see 50+ % of the conference on probation. T_O_B
  14. Always do but at -8 you have to make sure they don't freeze. T_O_B
  15. Still bitterly cold but the fridg is now well stocked. T_O_B
  16. Former NY Giants coach Allie Sherman has passed on.

Would love to see T-Rex playing for a better team. With his versatility he would be an asset anywhere he goes. T_O_B
  18. Suh gets to play but its gonna cost him $50,000 extra to do so. The fine with a suspension is only $20,000. All this for an act that if it had been committed by J.J. Watt would have went un-noticed. T_O_B
  19. After a valiant fight against cancer Stewart Scott at the age of 42 has lost his battle. I remember when I used to wake up every morning and watch Stewart and Rich Eisen on Sports Center. This man will be missed. Go with God Stewart Scott. T_O_B
  20. You could be right but I had doubts about his ability to build a credible staff and we just went through 7 years of assistants who didn't fill the bill. T_O_B
  21. Thank God for that sarcasm emo. I don't think Frost will ever coach at Nebraska. He either takes over Oregon when the time comes or takes another West Coast job. I just don't think situations or timing will ever be right. T_O_B
  22. You guys seem to think 61 is old. ITS NOT!!! Take a good look around people are being productive well into their 70ies. Coach Riles could easily be here 10+ years. T_O_B
