I think bean was getting at the fact that Missouri has never ranked higher than 26th in Rush Defense the past few years, with a couple of pretty mediocre years in there as well. Combine that with some pretty stout rushing offenses in the SEC West and you guys are going to have your hands full. But that's nothing you didn't already know.

Following close on the heels of this story, and the resulting (apparent) lack of interest/concern throughout the college football world, I was wondering - have attitudes toward pot changed so much that you think it will be legalized in the next, say, 50 years? Have we gotten to the point where pot is considered OK, or are we still worried about the "gateway drug?" Bear in mind that many states already allow medical marijuana, and many other states are openly debating legalizing it altogether.

It's good thing this doesn't happen on any other campus, any other football team. Especially not here in Lincoln, where all the kids are always pot-free.

It is convenient. But who is it most convenient for? Sure, that vaguery helps explain things for believers in conversations like this, but the real beneficiary of this is the church hierarchy. I've spent some time over the past two days moving topics from Other Husker Sports into the new Volleyball, Basketball and Baseball/Softball forums. I've tried to get the last couple of years of topics moved to the new forums, but some topics have very vague thread titles, making identification of primary subject harder. I think I've gotten the most relevant threads moved from the last several years, but I probably didn't get all of them. Al-Jazeera is a decent source. They pissed me off early by being what amounted to a bash-America source, but they've since rounded into decent journalism. As for the BP aftermath - yeah. How much did they recompense the fishermen, again? It wasn't enough, that's for damned sure.

Both the Arena and East Stadium are supposed to be ready for the first games (respectively) in 2013. That's why I take the pictures every week. The University isn't covering this very well, for some reason. If I can help people have an idea of what's going on, that's wonderful.

I think maybe it's the opposite. Nobody wants to address it because it cannot be addressed and maintain the argument.

PBS is airing the Big Red Wrapup of the Spring Game tonight at 7pm. Not sure what they're going to have on the show, but it's two hours long. Maybe they'll preempt it and run something else in lieu of the game, but maybe we'll get lucky and they'll air practice clips or something.
