  1. This is what's going on. I don't know what guide software Cox uses, or DirecTV, but TimeWarner uses TV Guide's software, and they (TimeWarner) have no control over what it says. I called TW about this a few games ago, because the papers were saying the game (Washington?) was on ABC, but the TV Guide thing said a different game. They assured me it was on ABC despite what the TV Guide thing said. So 99.99% sure that anyone in the above coverage map that should be getting the Husker game will be getting it on ABC, even though it says the Iowa State game.
  2. Anyone else find immense entertainment reading the jokes these guys tweet back and forth to each other on movie night?

I do! It was pretty hilarious

  3. If you want to be on the Big Ten Network's coverage of the game, I'd go with BTN, with the N being red. Or you could do the powder blue B1G. You could have one guy have an 84, the next dude wear a big hyphen, and guy #3 could wear 13. They're still talking about that game up there.
  4. Whoops. Totally forgot this was today. At least I don't have to finish this report! Hooray!
  5. Yep, at the Coliseum, right next to Memorial Stadium.
  6. Listen to those guys explode about Rex. Could they possibly love him any more than they do? What an awesome thing to hear.
  7. Boom! Great analogy. It's at the same time great (for Stanley) and terrifying (where's our depth!?!?!?) that he's moved and succeeded so quickly. Still...... he's just had one game. And really one great play. Let's hope that wasn't a mirage, or beginner's luck. He also had a personal foul against the Buckeyes. We just gotta hope that his future is as bright as this move makes it look.
  8. Gah! This was just posted to Twitter, so I thought it was new. My bad - shoulda checked the threads. It's almost the exact same title I used.
  9. Looks like SJB earned a start for his heroics against Ohio State. Way to go, SJB! Click the link for more info on Jay Guy, other (most likely redshirted) Freshmen, Eric Martin, etc. Lots of stuff in this article by Christopherson. Good read.
  10. This is what the locker room looked like after the Ohio State game. LINK Courtesy Randy York, who is a hell of a guy.
  11. This has to be the single most baffling thing for me in this whole job creator/class warfare BS that's being floated around. The Republican base aren't typically rich, they're pretty much regular joes like me. Why they buy this line of thinking is beyond me. But they do.
  12. As far as I can tell, Bondi has been in on three kickoffs. I'd hate to have burned his shirt for so little time. I'm also getting very concerned with the amount of touches we're getting to our Freshman RB trio. I still think one of them should have redshirted.
  13. Agree that it's better than Fox. Most things are better than Fox. I should say that I watch football games on ESPN, and the rare other sport. That's unavoidable, unfortunately.
  14. In general, ESPN represents everything that is wrong with college football (and most sports, for that matter). I made a conscious decision to largely ignore them when they were blasting the Huskers from every conceivable angle in the mid-90s. I don't watch Sportscenter, I don't watch any of their other programming, I even stopped listening to Mike & Mike a year or so ago. If you don't like what ESPN produces, don't consume their products. Don't consume their news, don't read their blogs, don't buy their dumb magazine, etc. I'm pretty darned well informed about college football and this team in particular, and I almost never use ESPN for just about anything. They're the middle-man. Cut out the middle-man and you'll be surprised how much you still get out of the sports you love.
  15. Forget I said that. I don't talk about things like that. My bad.
  16. You may not like the role Blatchford plays this week, then.
  17. Astute observers will also notice that Stanley Jean-Baptiste isn't on this list. My understanding is that he is starting this week, so I didn't put him on here.
  18. That's disappointing to hear that. I know quite a few people in there too. It is what it is. To me it's no more appropriate nor disappointing than Chatelain's article.
  19. Pretty sure Santos is redshirting. If they let him play it had better be due to injury this late in the season.
  20. And I know people who were there telling me there were press applauding - in fact, they admit to doing it themselves.
  21. Probably should have added Stafford to that list. And maybe Joe Carter.
  22. Sam McKewon has taken over my Twitter feed. Luckily he usually says things I find interesting.

Do you use Twitter on your computer or phone or both?

The banter bewtween @kevinkugler and @helloerinmarie floods my twitter wall.

I use my phone for a phone. I'm very old-fashioned that way. I just tweet on my computer. And not very often.

And yes, I am bombarded with Kugler/Sorensen tweets. But a close second is EMart, followed by Sorensen/Lawrence tweets. I'm pretty sure Blake and Erin are going to have their own sitcom soon.

  23. I figured most everyone would vote Carnes, and he really needs the reps. I almost left him off the poll as the ridiculously obvious choice.
