Yeah because if Martin doesn't make that block Niles doesn't score right....cheap shot. It was a very hard hit, but by no means cheap. The guy shouldn't be out there if he can't protect himself on a kickoff. It's a totally different story on a pass downfield, but on a kickoff every player is "in the play." If Niles cuts that back and Martin doesn't make his block then we're griping at Martin for letting his guy tackle the ball carrier. No way was that a cheap shot. Very hard, yes. But not cheap.

Bo is not even close to as "hard" on these guys as a drill sergeant, a commanding officer, and not even close to as rough on these guys as the other team has been. No joke - if these guys are folding under the pressure Bo's putting on them, they have no place in major college football. Bear Bryant didn't hold hands with his players. Bob Devaney didn't sing Kum-Ba-Yah with his guys. Heck, Paul Rhoads and Bill Snyder chew their players out. Seems like these guys are able to win tough games. Having a coach that yells and high expectations isn't an excuse for losing games. Period.

If this whole "mindset" thing is true then I expect us to lose several more games this year. What a bunch of Nancys! Bo's vein pops out and these guys turtle back into their shell? Tell me that's not why we lost this game.

To what do you attribute this dubious streak? Motivation? Luck? Chance? There is no way in hell we're SO BAD that we should be losing all of these games. This is similar to Osborne's 0-7 streak in bowl games in the late 80s/early 90s.

Should be "we're good enough to win FOR SURE" b/c that's a fact vs any team we face. And I'm almost tempted to say "we should win FOR SURE." Yep. I would definitely agree with that. There isn't a team we lost to in the last two years that we couldn't have beaten. Probably should have beaten. That's why everyone feels so bad.

These conversations are interesting. If we drop 1/4 fewer passes, we're talking about a national championship right now. Two TDs is all it would have taken, and we had them in our hands in this game. Because we had a bad game catching the ball, we've suddenly decided that Texas is light-years ahead of Nebraska? Sorry. If Texas was that much better than Nebraska we wouldn't have been in a position to win that game, and several times over to boot.
