Keyword PATIENCE. Don't think that word is in the vocabulary of the Husker fans from the years 2004-2007. Feel sorry for the next guy and the next guy because Huskers fans have very little patience when it counts the most. Most demand perfection from the onset. Good luck with that. I as a fan am willing to wait, watch and enjoy. Whatever happens. Where was the patience for Solich's revamped staff? Steve Pedersen set the standard for expectation by firing a coach who went 9-3 and then pounding his chest about not surrendering the Big XII. But go ahead and blame the fans if it makes you feel better.

Aaagh yeah sure that make sense. Is this the case just for Callahan? How do you grade Frank Solich then? He must have been a total failure since he didn't win three national championships like the previous coach to him. Once again, just like the thread starter you're comparing apples to oranges. Callahan's predecessor was fired for his job performance, Solich's wasn't. Nevertheless, Callahan HAD HIS CHANCE already to address the team's problems. Don't forget the defense underachieved last year too.

I guess you didn't read my whole post. It states that you can't compare the situations. The point is up until this year, the team has progressively gotten better and giving BC a chance to change and fix, something of which he really hasn't had the chance to do, may be an option for TO. You couldn't be more wrong about that. We were 10-3 the season before Callahan was hired, and he failed to ever match that record. We've been going backwards since he arrived.

As long as Callahan isn't coaching in it, I'll be happy. I don't want anything to happen that will prolong his tenure here.

The question is moot, no way he stays. I'm not even going to entertain the thought of him staying.

The criticism of Coz is justified and acceptable IMO, if he can't take it he can go bag french fries somewhere. OTOH, death threats are NOT acceptable and low class. Hopefully they figure out who the dumbazz is.

Who's saying that? I just hear people saying give Cally 1-2 more years. Message Boards, school, work, other places. I dont think he will stay. I'm shocked that there are still people who think that. They have to be pretty few and far between. At least I hope they are.
