  1. LOL I think I just need to stay off huskerboard/rivals for a week and then get back on. This drama is taking more years off my life than my last deployment. I declare shenanigans. *going to get my broom*
  2. I'm starting to think that a lack of intelligence is a prerequisite to getting hired as a journalist. "Hey, is your IQ over 75? It is? Then we don't want you."
  3. basically from what his coach said, he really enjoyed it, he said he was worried that it would be cold, but it wasnt. he said the wind was the worst part, cuz you couldnt get out of it. but he said it wasnt a factor at all. his coach said he had a good time, enjoyed his visit, and loved our facilities. we're still waiting to hear from brion himself since he's currently on a plane right now. EDIT: lol dammit, beat me to it
  4. Suh was a 4 star, but you made some good points. Athletic ability is necessary, but heart and tenacity are just as important. I think the reason we are so high on Owa is that we think he exhibits all of those traits we like to see. Being from OR and not getting into football until recently, i don't think we can fault him for not being a rabit husker fan. If we don't get him, I will def be disappointed. I really think he could come in here and make a difference sooner, rather than later. This is a tough decision for a young man to make, especially when it comes down to potentially leaving his family and friends behind. I think Nebraska could do the best for him, but it's his life, not mine. Where ever he goes, I'll be rooting for him to succeed.
  5. Yeah, I believe he is concerned about keeping semi-local support up. But if we continue to succeed, people will know who we are and want to come play with us. That's why I'm excited to have the walk-on tradition that we have. That way, the local guys, who may not have warranted a scholarship offer at the time, can come in and prove the coaches wrong.
  6. Why? I think Bo and co are doing a damn fine job of getting recruits from wherever they find them. FL, TX, OR, MO, I don't care if they are in the state next to us, or from freakin Guam. Bo is gonna go where the good players are and get them, not just pick guys from neighboring states because they're from neighboring states.
  7. AHAHAHAHAHHAH HAHAHAHAH HAHAHAHHAHA HAHAHA.... HAHAHAHAH AHAHAHA.... HHAHAHAHHAHA AHAHAHAA... AHHHAHAHAHA... oh man, sorry, but this chick is effin retarded. check out this quote that she makes about florida state. WASN'T THAT GREAT!?!?!?!?!? Is she really this stupid? that's atrocious and pretty much as bad as it get's. How is this chick writing for fox sports? Was she an equal opportunity hire? That's like saying Hitler's treatment of the Jews wasn't that great, instead of the worst thing ever. now we've got one of these... ...now where's the fox sports sux smiley at?
  8. i think they have cooper as N because it's what makes sense. out of the schools he's looking at, we're the one that can do the most for him. but hey, recruits don't always do what makes sense. i hope that they are right and he does choose us, but we'll just have to wait and see.
  9. LOL! i actually spit up some of my mountain dew i was drinking when i read that. you sir OWA me one new keyboard......god that was an awful pun lol
  10. lol he mentioned that coach ekeler wasnt mad, but didnt say anything about bo! and yeah, he has had some small academic issues that have seemingly prevented him from joining jemarcus hardrick here. lavonte will be here in the spring though
  11. just got an update. he did take an official visit to USF and did not tell the NE coaches first. he did call coack ekeler when he got back and explained what happened. he wanted to take another official just for the experience of it since NE was his only official visit. he said he felt bad about not letting the NE coaches know what he was doing first. he said he is 100% still committed to NE. he also said that our academic situation is better here than at USF and that he will be hosting bo and another coach at an in-home visit sometime this week i believe. basically, i believe all is well and that this visit was just lavonte reassuring himself that he made the right decision. i think after making the visit he realizes how special we are and how lucky he is to have a scholarship here
  12. Apparently the rumor has foundations. He did take a trip to South Florida, apparently without his coach knowing about it. Either he just wanted a vacation, or he did something really stupid. With Bo's stance on solid verbal commits taking visits, I could see his scholarship being opened up for someone else to take. I don't see Bo dropping him completely, but if the slot goes to someone else, then so be it. I have no doubt that Bo told him what his policy was when he committed.
  13. I'm going to have to throw Kanye West into that mix. Probably Urban Meyer as well, for pulling a classic Brett Farve this offseason
  14. lol What do you mean by "good fit"? Did they grease the doors or remove a wall to let him in? When you said "good fit" I thought you meant they couldn't physically remove him from the Jayhawks stadium so they just tarred and feathered him and he's now their drunken, angry mascot. I could totally see him being hauled up and down the sidelines on a flatbed truck every time they score a touchdown, waving a drumstick in the air with his chubby fingers.
  15. so whats the minimum fee to acquire this black magic blessing?
  16. I like Bo so much I'd marry him if he was a woman and better looking
  17. You over 30 crowd has it easy! When you were young, a long, long time ago, when you joined the Army you didn't have The War of Terrorism going on. A hard day for you was if they air conditioning went out!
  18. that sig gif is the sh#t. i laugh every time i see it. so much awesomeness
  19. He probably just goes and practices Karote in the garage. whats karote? is that some super secret ninja martial arts thats used by football players?
  20. After watching the video, I saw three things that I really liked. First off, his speed, he's pretty damn quick. He's got great acceleration off a cut and great top speed as well. Second, I liked how he carried the football, tight to his body and high. Third, from what I saw, he was very efficient in using his blockers when he had them. I saw a couple of times where he was downfield into the secondary and slowed up to let his receivers tie up a guy and then cut off them to score. This is a huge get for us. I'm excited to see him play
  21. im sorry, but until i see some solid sources, im going to remain skeptical. i just looked at the ucla rivals page and didnt see any updates about owa
