  1. Freshman and sophomore seasons for both.. Newby- 121 Attempts 5- Fumbles AVG.- 24.2 attempts per fumble Ameer- 268 Attempts 15-Fumbles AVG.- 17.9 attempts per fumble Listen, I don't know who you think you are or where you think you are posting, but why don't you take your "facts" and "logic" and "reason" and GTFO. We don't take kindly to your type 'round here. Seriously though, it seemed like Newby fumbles more because they are always at such a damn inopportune time (not that there is an opportune time) but it was always when we were driving and really need some points and momentum and it just took the wind out of us. Kind of reminded me of that fumble Ameer had, I think it was against Iowa where he lost it on the freakin goal line. Just soul crushing.
  2. Word is that he got caught flashing a group of nuns selling orphaned kittens down in Lincoln. Huskerboard put him on probation and said that if he follows the terms and procedures they set forth, they might let him back in if they feel like it. Supposedly he can't log into HB, look at HB, stand next to anyone who might be looking at HB, visit any other rival sites, think about Husker football, drink beer, breathe, potato sack race on sundays or have any negative thoughts about Michio Kaku's qualifications as a theoretical physicist. If he does any of those, he's banned for life, but they won't tell him until the last minute. That's just what Coach Riley's Yukon Gold potato peeler guy's sister told me.
  3. Don't be bitter bro. We win some, we lose some. You should know by now that it's always going to be a total crapshoot when it comes to recruiting.
  4. Wat. Either he goes or he doesn't. Of course it's 50/50. There's no third option. Anyway, Seems like he enjoys the attention that recruiting brings and if some big schools throw their name in the hat, I think he'll explore his options. Once the staff is announced and everything settles down, I think he'll end up being a DONU commit.
  5. I think Ameer runs for over 200 and has 2 or more TD's. Gerry has at least one INT and RG blocks a field goal. Just a guess though
  6. Is it the hoodie or does she need to run some stadium steps with team to get back in fighting shape?
  7. REMATCH Our goal from right now until the CCG should be to win out just to face MSU again so we can hate stomp them. That needs to be our battle cry. REMATCH When this team got out of it's own way, we took this game to MSU and damn near pulled it off. We showed heart and determination that I did not see in the first 3 quarters. Demornay, Westache, Armstrong, Abdullah, our whole damn defense and even dear god, our O Line stuck it out and fought back despite 3 quarters of beat down. That last quarter we were the team we know that we can be. Ya know, except for that last interception >_> We as fans need to rally with our players, gird up and start stomping some ass in every game we have left. REMATCH I don't care about a bowl game, I don't care about the playoffs. I just want to meet MSU again and shove these last two defeats in their face and rub it in. That defense they have is nothing special. It's merely solid. We showed their weakness and finally got around to exploiting it. Hell MSU tried to GIVE us points but we just refused to take them. They are not some insurmountable challenge. They are no Everest. They are a goal to show this was a fluke. Guys, we got this. REMATCH
  8. They still have a football team? I thought after last year they would just hang up their cleats and call it a day.
  9. Is this some sort of strength and conditioning issue? I mean, I know injuries happen, but the past couple of years have been crazy
  10. Will I be happy to have a player of his caliber, hopefully, play for Nebraska? Absolutely. I just wish, like most I think, that players would take this shiat a little more seriously. I like Bo's suggestion. Any time you offer a player and they accept (with some exceptions, like the player kills someone or something like that), that should be binding. If a player states they are committed, then that's it. If the coach states a player can commit and they do, that's it. I think players will start taking this recruiting shiat a little more seriously.
  11. Try every single high school student that has enlisted in the military. It's time to quit coddling these football players. "OHHH NOOO, I MIGHT PICK A PLACE THAT IS SLIGHTLY NOT AS GOOD AS THIS OTHER PLACE TO PLAY A GAME AND READ BOOKS AND WORK OUT ALL DAY...BOOOO HOOOO, WOE IS ME" They can kiss my ass. Nobody is trying to kill them. They aren't jumping out of airplanes. You tell someone you are going to do something, I.E commit somewhere, you freaking do it. If you're old enough, with a parent's permission, to sign to up shoot a damn gun and get shot back at, then you're old enough to take some responsiblility for where you are going to go to PLAY A GAME. Oh and some education too.
  12. I stand by my original post in here. I would love to have this guy here.
  13. It would actually be like TO giving Abdul Muhammed reps at QB. Or Tony Veland Anyway, I don't think this is as big of a deal as people are making it out to be. You all are just freakin' bored. I bet when we get another #boom or two, this topic will be forgotten. IIRC, didn't we use Bobby Newcombe in these types of situations? Also, I bet we're glad we had Mike Stuntz practice the Black 41 Flash Reverse (pretty sure that's the name of the play, or damn close). How awesome would it be to see Jamal Turner throw a TD pass to TA?
  14. I vote that we cease calling these athletes "kids". THAT, right there, is a grown ass man.
  15. I would love for our offense to be known for scoring more points than the other team. That's just me though...
  16. Should be "Dual-threat" rather than "thread". Other than that, great post. When ya fix it, go ahead and delete this.
  17. Who's Davidson? Just the guy who made this catch: Did he play with Winstrom and Peters? Nah, you're thinking of Osbourne and Frasier
  18. Can't believed no one here mentioned the fact that Spurrier is probably still a little poopy about a 62-24 beatdown Nebraska put on him in the NC
  19. Not good news... At least we're second? At least we're third?
  20. Hmm, well he plays linebacker and we use linebackers. Good enough, amirite?
