ok, that's not that likely, but what is more likely is, 3 one loss teams that are ranked 1-2-3.... Then what do you do? Go on who's loss was worst? Take into account who had the strongest schedule?

1. NU 2. OU 3. Bama 4. Army (no matter how much they suck, until you've been their on a football saturday, it's something to behold, not to mention, the 2nd best rivalry in college football) 5. Notre Dame 6. Michigan

You're right, god forbid a coach run his team his way, but, if you're passing game isn't working, do you keep throwing the ball, or do you try the running game, hopefully opening up the passing attack. Some common sense has to be involved in the this decision. To use a metaphor, all "field generals" have the ability to adapt, improvise, and overcome to win the battle, and Callahan doesn't have that. If Charlie McBride hadn't retired, I would have liked to see him get a shot.

Ok, first of all, WE SHOULD BE 6-1, not 4-3. We should have beaten Southern Miss and Texas Tech. It's our lack of many things, that have put us where we are. I hated Solich, with a passion. I thought he was an absolute nitwit, that's until I saw the first game that Callahan coach. And, for some to question our "allegience" to our beloved team, is rather silly. Would you rather us just sit here, "man our ankles, and prepare to be boarded"??? If I'm a cancer because i'm pissed that my team is sucking, then i'm guilty as charged. I'm mad as hell when I see a pass play being called with 5 minutes left to go, and we're only up by a touchdown. Now, if that's the quarterback making a mistake, then you light him up, but if it's the coach, then that's just piss poor. We have lost our identity. If it wasn't for the uniforms, would you recognize this team from past year's teams? I know I wouldn't. Because I think Callahan is an arrogant bastard, he's going to do things his way, if it runs this program into the ground. I know he can't make adjustments, and he proved that in the 2002 superbowl, when he was embarrased by the Bucs. He kept calling pass plays, and never changed strategies, which is monumentally STUPID. There are somethings that need to change, but I know that's not gonna happen, due to certain elements. I'm a dyed in the wool husker fan, and have been so since I was knee high to a grasshopper. You can't really compare College BBall to FBall, because there's about 115 teams or so playing D-1 ball, as where there are over 300 D-1 hoops teams. When there's that many teams, you need as many conference tournaments, with the big dance to whittle all that down. I hate the BCS and we need something that doesn't suck. I'm perfectly ok with a championship tournament. You have to do something, so that you don't get stuck with 3 teams that are undefeated, and leaving one team out in the cold.

I hope we can too, but our BC could f up a wet dream. Right now, the only thing that will make up for the abomination of a season that we're having, is to beat OU, and we're not even gonna do that. So, if we tank the rest of the season, which is complete plausable, what's gonna happen to Billy-ball in Lincoln? Is SP gonna be ok with that?

we might not have the talent, we've had in past years, but that's not the entire problem... Just the tip of the iceberg, if you ask me. The defensive coordinator should have a better game plan, and have the team fired up to play...

isn't that where coaching comes in to try to contain things like that??? Adapt, improvise, overcome...

Well, it's visibly apparent that Cosgrove is Callahan's "boy". Why in hell would he hire a guy that has a track record like that? Last year, the Blackshirts were something to be feared. I remember watching the Alamo Bowl and just watching the Blackshirts dictate the game.
