  1. No he isn't. Had Urban Meyer not had his "health problems" at Florida, he would have been mired in multiple seasons of mediocrity. Really? What proof do you have to make this statement? Especially considering he took a year off from coaching and comes back at a different school that is on probation only to have them undefeated and in the top 10. I strongly disagree. Notable Head Coaches' record after first 10 years: Nick Saban 80-39-1 Les Miles 96-32 Bob Stoops 109-23 Urban Meyer 104-23 Mack Brown 53-61-1 Steve Spurrier 93-27-2 Mark Richt 96-34 Just a few I thought of. Only worried about a coaches time while coaching D1(I know that's not what it is called now) Stoop's record reminded me how good they used to be before his staff all left to be head coaches.
  2. I am not sure that is completely true. His last year at Florida 2010, they were 8-5. That was year 6 for him at Florida. That was also first post Tim Tebow year. What that also proves is that with the right QB for your system you can do great things. UM took one look at Braxton Miller and said that is my Qb that is my next TT. True, but that was Urban's 9th season as a HC. The point I was trying to make was for head coaches at their first school being a head coach. But you make a great point yourself, the fact that UM was an accomplished HC at other locations and still had a "down" season in year 6 goes to show that even great coaches can miss on some guys for their first recruiting class at new school.
  3. Urban Meyer is the exception to the rule. The majority of major college football head coaches throughout history have needed some time to find their groove. As hard as it is, we just need to show some patience and have this team's 6.
  4. Not sure if this has been posted. http://bigrednetwork.com/story/sticking_through_a_slump/
  5. Oh there will be a few for sure.... Just ask Husker Hoosier
  6. I have been a supporter of Bo from the start, but after this game I'm starting to wonder if his stubborness won't be his downfall. On my count 14 of the last 16 games our defense has been pathetic. All we get to hear is how," He knows the system works, it has a proven track record" blah blah blah. How many losses will it take until he realizes he needs to change?
  7. I love all the UCLA love, especially from Mark May. Will make dominating them feel that much better.
  8. I too see this game like the Washington game 2 years ago. We are facing a team in the early stages of rebuilding. SHOULD win comfortably.
  9. Have to say that Mich St. didn't show me anything that says they are the best team in the conference. They just don't scare me at all.
  10. Wow, 42 carries for Bell and not done yet
  11. Everyone is picking MSU and I mean everyone. Good, every time MSU is supposed to take that next step it seems they take a step back. All of a sudden we are supposed to believe that they will just reload on offense? An offense we completely shut down anyways. Good luck to them but I just don't see it.
  12. Current defensive players need to watch this
  13. TD number 4. Not a bad start to the season for them. Good luck to them the rest of the way!!! GBR!!!!
  14. Good job of standing in the pocket. Ball was high but receivers not helping their QB out.
