  1. I know we've all heard it before, but it really is true that the best defense is a good offense. I think Nebraska's defense probably could look this good against every team they played this year if the offense could sustain drives like this against the teams we played this year. Despite the low score, the offense has dominated iowa's defense. How many 3rd down conversions? How many last week? This is great to see! GBR!
  2. Under... I think there will be more ball distribution today against Northwestern's weaker defense Martinez 125 rushing yards
  3. $750 per seat should be sufficient for north endzone then right?
  4. I have been on the huskers.com website for information on obtaining season tickets. I understand that season tickets are "awarded" based on the following: (1)Availability (2)Donations (3)Priority Points I also found donation values for the 2010 season on huskers.com link...http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=204787555 I'm sure the values will go up for the 2011 season, but I'm curious how much in donations it really takes to obtain season tickets. Can any of you very fortunate season ticket holders fill me in on how much in total donations it really costs to obtain and maintain season tickets?
  5. I hate getting rid of my table and losing my "Husker Lounge," but hopefully someday I will be able to recreate it. Got divorced recently and kind of had my life turned upside down... Losing my lounge was one of the things that sucks the most. It's right up there lol...

  7. I think it's been about 10 years since there's been a good enough reason for me to "unrationally" punch holes in any walls, but I just couldn't hold it back this time... Nebraska has been getting screwed by crooked refs and bogus calls all season, but this was sooooooo blatantly obvious. How can the conference get away with it? I just don't get how the NCAA has come down on schools, players, coaches, etc so why not on conferences? Can't wait to get to the Big 10; if not for anything else other than something more honest and just. Don't get on me about, "man why did you punch holes in your wall?" or anything like that... it's not a question of stupidity or lack of control, but curious if anyone else had as much trouble handling this as me?
  8. I actually like this idea JTrain. It seems the best possible answer as I'm probably in the minority of wanting a huge playoff because it does take away from the importance of the regular season. I would add to your playoff ideas that there be no preseason rankings, therefore, only ranking teams on what has happened this year. Maybe start with rankings midway into the season or something. I also think that maybe I'm in the minority in believing that the computer polls are generally the most accurate and that human polls are the most inaccurate. This week Nebraska was a prime example of that because it's obvious that many of the human pollsters only checked the box score. I know NU barely won against ISU but how many top 10 teams would have one with the injuries NU had against ISU and playing at ISU? I may be missing some key players, but I can name a few... Martinez, Lee, and Dennard come to mind right away. How many TD's did ISU make threw the air and how many passes did they complete to the man Dennard would have had locked up? So adding to what you would wish to see... 4. No more preseason polls 5. Let the computers decide (basing rankings off of facts and statistics; rather than opinions)
  9. link In the "What is your prediction for the National Championship this year?" section of the article... He thinks it's going to be Oregon vs Nebraska for the MNC, but that's with Ohio State losing to Iowa. It's got to be a good sign when the "BCS Guru" says NU will be in if they run the table, but is he also saying that Ohio State will have to lose one game for NU to be in?
  10. Ok thanks everyone for the help. What does it take for it to be validated? I'm sorry I've just never had "unvalidated tix" before.
  11. What does it cost to validate a student ticket?
  12. Maybe someone can help me out with this. I have never purchased "unvalidated student tix" but have for the Texas game. Any members who are students, alumn, or have purchased tix like this that can help me out? Where, on game day do I validate these tix? How early before kickoff can this be done? Anyone have any problems with "unvalidated student tix" and getting them validated?
  13. Not a mod, but the Husker forum is for things about Husker football, not things that affect it. Nearly everything that happens in the NCAA affects NU in some way, but they don't all belong there. I can ask how the Missouri-Illinois game affects SOS and Big 12 vs. B 10 and how that impacts our ranking wrt to Iowa and Ohio State, but it doesn't belong in the Husker forum. Anyway, I was told last spring that playing Boise State was a no-win proposition. If you lose to them, you will take a hit, but if you beat them, nobody respects it and you get no credit for it. So I guess that means Va Tech can't pass us with a win. No, I don't actually believe that. Ok.... But I can find countless things that are the same... It isn't necessarily about Nebraska, but how it affects Nebraska. Forum is titled "Husker Football" so wouldn't things that affect "Husker Football" belong in the "Husker Football" forum? Still don't make sense to me.
  14. I don't understand why this was moved? It's related to Husker football because I was asking how it affects NU in the polls...
  15. Granted everyone else in the top 10 wins... what do you think that does to the polls? I'm going to guess that Virginia Tech jumps (9)Iowa (8)nebraska (7)Oklahoma (6)tcu and Boise drops to 13-15 in the AP poll. So a Boise State win or a Virginia Tech win doesn't help out Nebraska in the polls. I'll root for Virginia Tech because there's a better chance they'll lose somewhere else down the line because they have a schedule that doesn't feature high school teams, so a loss when they are ranked ahead of Nebraska later in the season would help Nebraska. If Boise State wins this they will go undefeated and starting at number 3 in the AP might actually get into the MNC
  16. I was looking at the games that I want to watch for week 1 of the season. This is one I definately want to watch. I think Boise State wins this game, but I'm curious what would happen in the rankings with a Virginia Tech win? When out of conference and not on Nebraska's schedule I always root for the team that is below Nebraska to beat the team that is ahead of Nebraska, but would Boise State and Virginia Tech just swith places in the polls if Virginia Tech wins? Does either team losing or winning benefit Nebraska? What do you guys think?
  17. I was actually there a week ago from today! I took my son there with a group of people for one of their free tours. It was amazing. The whole tour was awesome, but my favorite part was the experience room. It brought tears of joy and pride to my eyes. It was the coolest ever!
  18. Pretty cool that they're working out together and it sounds like Vanden Bosch is taking Suh under his wing. link
  19. It made me ready for October 16th, which they barely mentioned, and I'm really surprised. That game will have more buildup than any other regular season game. I hated seeing the replay and they didn't really praise Nebraska when talking about who has an easier road to the CCG. It was more about the North division being weak than Nebraska being good imo. Then they had to mention that Nebraska hasn't beat Texas in more than a decade. Grrrr. October 16 can't get hear soon enough.
  20. Just heard on College Football Live that the Big 10 has made "initial offers" to Nebraska, Missouri, Notre Dame, and Rutgers. I can't find a link for College Football Live for today on youtube or anything, but here's another link I found that is not related to College Football Live stating the same information. link Sounded like an official invite on College Football Live... Thoughts?
  21. Just heard on College Football Live today that the Big 10 has made an initial offer to Nebraska, Missouri, Notre Dame and Rutgers. They have no comment on this initial report...
  22. Impatiently waiting for October 16th!

  23. They probably wouldn't. They would need time to scrounge the remaining pieces and find a suitable replacement team. But, if Nebraska leaves, we will be their biggest hit as far as a national following goes. There is nobody out there that could replace us in revenue AND national following. But, this is what happens when you have a conference that focuses itself on one university. AMEN!!!
  24. I did see that video on there, but I still can't hear anything regarding the B12 CG. I didn't hear it when I was there either and wish I would have. Can you hear it when you watch this video? Is the croud noise blocking it out?
