  1. I was there too, but I didn't notice. I wish I would have and I tried to find it on youtube, but the only video of the spring game tunnel walk starts just after it happened (as described) so hopefully someone recorded it and puts it up on youtube. I'd like to see it too!
  2. I went to the Spring Game with my Dad. I'm 23 years old and Husker Football has always been our "father and son" type thing (which i realize is not unique, but just stating for the purpose of this post) I always get those goosebumps during the tunnel walk, watching classic games, etc. My Dad is emotional, but doesn't put off or show much emotion, which made this even better for me. When Suh came on the big screen at the stadium and said what had to say in that video it was really cool. I felt those goosebumps then too. The greatfullness, respect, and integrity of the people of Nebraska was displayed through Suh! As I looked over to my Dad to see what he thought of this event I was stunned! My dad had his sun glasses on (that he's had forever and sometimes people might even wonder if they're attached to his face) but I saw a tear on his cheek and he wiped it away really quickly so nobody we see. BUT I DID SEE. It was really cool that he was touched that much. I don't think he knows I saw that tear, but after he wiped it away real fast he said, what I previously wrote, "The greatfullness, respect, and integrity of the people of Nebraska is being displayed through that man." Then he said, "Nebraska football is definately back!" I don't mean to embarass my dad or anything like that, but I just wanted to share with you guys how we took it. It wasn't only a nice gesture for Suh. It meant a lot more to a lot of fans than the 2.6 million meant. It's the great traits of Husker football teams and players of the glory days coming back. Dad might have a good point because winning will come with those great personality traits through hard work, greatfullness, respect, integrity, etc. Dad's point is that Nebraska "being back" based on wins and losses is debateable, but the personality traits or characteristics in our players = Nebraska "being back" because it will lead to wins the Nebraska way! GO BIG RED!!!
  3. Is that a new kind of potato chip?? lol my bad... fixed it! Thanks
  4. Go to link and check out the April 12 post practice video at about 4 min mark of the video... link Coaches always say, "we have to put the best players on the field." Must be one of those "new wrinkles!"
  5. This was a great article, so I wanted to to share. I specially like the editor's note at the end of the article... Editor's note: On Oct. 8, 1980, Head Coach Bobby Bowden wrote the following letter on Florida State stationary and sent it to Nebraska after his Seminoles beat the Huskers, 18-14 in Lincoln: "I have been coaching college football the past 28 years and have played before some great crowds in this country. I have never seen people with more class than I saw at Nebraska last week. The Nebraska fans, players, cheerleaders, band, officials, coaches, etc., gave me a living testimony of what college football should be all about. I actually had the feeling that when we upset the Nebraska team that instead of hate and spite, the Nebraska fans thanked us for coming to Lincoln and putting on a good show. This is nearly unheard of in today's society. Nebraska, you are a great example for Americans to copy. I hope we show half the class your people do." Link
  6. I just watched that game again last night and I was just as pissed last night as I was when it was live. I'm just so ready for October 16th for payback. As painful as it is, I'm trying to keep it all fresh, so have decided to watch it once each month until October. Talk about adding anticipation for October 16th! I want to take a fury to Lincoln, that day, so it'll be that much sweeter when we win!
  7. Here's an idea for a conference... Nebraska Oklahoma Oklahoma State Kansas Kansas State Missouri Iowa State Colorado Then we play every team in our conference and don't need a CCG! Everyone plays everyone "round-robin" plus 3 nonconference games. Oklahoma and Texas are more than welcome to schedule their red river shootout for one of the nonconference games, so they keep their rivalry. Texas can go to some other conference for more money and maybe pick a conference that has 1 powerhouse team for the last 30+ years. That way they can get the other teams in that conference to vote against the powerhouse on everything they vote on, so they can get their way. The other teams in the conference will vote with Texas because they'll be tired of getting their butts handed to them every year by the powerhouse team in that conference. Then they can move their conference headquarters to Texas to make it more conveneint for UT and less convenient for the rest of that conference. Maybe a "Big Man" at UT could even be the chairman of that new conference? The only difference is this... UT won't be screwing any of the Big 12 conference like they did to the 4 teams of the Southwest Conference. Finally... good old days are restored! We could call it the Big 8. Catchy conference name huh? I love it. Note: Not a rant about Longhorn fans or the team, but I can't stand UT politics. UT = 100% pure selfish greed But ya... I'm a huge fan of the old Big 8.... If you can't tell. lol
  8. What if there were no hypothetical questions? It would be harder to make it through the offseason...
  9. So that sounds like the last resort if we can't buy our tix for the high prices they are wanting. The tunnel walk and 1st quarter would really suck to miss for a huge game though.
  10. If I can't afford the $240-$260 for the nosebleeds my dad and I will have to do that...I've only done that a couple times but never before a big game that nobody wants to miss? Have you had success with this method for any big games? What kinda deal did you get?
  11. wish there was 10 min left in the game instead of 4:50
  12. Yep just sucks that it'll take so long for football, but at least we've had something NU to be excited about for a while.
  13. that shoulda been nu ball outta bounds
  14. I agree... definately in the action of shooting when fouled.
  15. Deal... I should be able to recover from this women's basketball game tonight for a little pregame fun... lol. we'll see
  16. Thanks I'm going to go to that site, but just so you don't start wondering about me as a fan... lol
  17. NO... this is terrible and i would say not characteristic
  18. Anyone know where we can see live stats of this game?
  19. Is Kentucky's defense really that good or is Nebraska's offense just choking under pressure? 11 turnovers and not finishing is killing Nebraska at this point. I am optimistic with all the fouls Kentucky has, but a little concerned about kelsie's and Cat's 2 foulds each.
  20. Am I going to see you there for a little tailgate food?
  21. Yet another promising statistic! I like the way the statistics add up for us to win it all!!!
