  1. If we fire Pelini we'll be lucky to find a decent high school coach to come here.yeah, right. Because we're ranked so highly and have done so well the past 7 years. That excuse is a joke and doesn't hold water. And we're f'ing Nebraska We were f'ing Nebraska when we fired Solich and that didn't seem to bring the coaches running to fill his spot. You guys are crazy if you think we get a big name after firing a winning coach. That coach played for the title 2 year prior. This coach hasn't done a thing. Big difference.

  3. Whatever, Millen. The blitz was picked up. TA took way too much time.
  4. Well said. The bolded is still my biggest concern for today's game and the bowl game. Thing is, Armstrong was able to last season, see the Georgia game. Hell, he was even beginning to check down and make good, consistent reads. How and why is he regressing instead of progressing? Something tells me it's 50% coaching, and 50% him seeing the writing on the wall with the staff and it impacting his play. He also locked onto receivers at the end of the game giving Georgia some turnovers that almost cost us the game. TA is inconsistent at best. He was terrible in that Georgia game. Go back and look at the stats.
  5. Mat Millen, our linebackers have been terrible all year. TERRIBLE.
  6. Bo has to go. He won't allow anybody else to be a true DC and the defense has been a problem since he started.
  7. Of course I want to win, but I'm fed up with Bo and have been for three seasons now.
  8. I expect Eichorst to feel the same as he did then. Bo isn't going anywhere. Shawn understands we're not going to win championships every year. This is his second season serving as Bo's boss and two winning seasons. For Pelini to save face IMO a full evaluation of his staff should be in order. I think you cut the weak links out. The coaches who are not on the same page up to this point and those who have made no improvements. I'm not going to point them out. It's pretty obvious which assistants need the pink slip. The question is whether Bo has the stones to make such a decision. Bo hasn't won any sort of championship here yet. He's been here 7 years. As far as cutting those who haven't made any improvements, lets start with the coach who has lost 4 games every year he has been here.
  9. Osborne would change things for the better immediately. We have enough talent to win the games we've lost, but things are too complex on both defense and offense. Any good coach can come in and make an immediate impact for the better. We have a lot of good kids.
  10. Bo's right because nobody gives a flying fart about Nebraska outside of Nebraska. Take it from a guy who lives in Oregon. Say "Nebraska" here and the question, "Who?" will be asked. DONU isn't a national power anymore. That's what happens when you don't win. That's what happens when you get blown out in your big games every time. It's just that simple.
  11. Ditto in Lincoln Frost wouldn't have a losing record in Lincoln. Tim Miles could take over the football team and finish with a winning record. I'm not sure Frost would be my first choice in Lincoln, but Pelini isn't working any magic down there. FAU, Fresno State, McNeese State, Rutgers, Purdue, Illinois... Those are gimme wins for any coach with even modest ability to recruit to the winningest program of the last 50 years. Exactly right. Did anybody else notice the SOS in this week's playoff poll? The four worst were Big 10 teams and Baylor. Tons of layups in our schedule.
  12. I think he might make an excellent HC. He has done well in football at every level, HS, D-1, the pros and now in coaching. He has a very good track record. And he has done nothing to convince me he would fail after stepping up to HC. So did Bo...Frost has been in the OC role for 2-3 yrs now and yet isn't the one that implements the game plans for them. Helfrich has as much say on that offense as Bo does on the defense here. I wouldn't mind seeing Frost cut his teeth at a MAC or Mountain West school for a few years before coming here. We have already done the first year coach thing. None of this is true per reports here in Oregon. Watching Oregon play week in and week out is fun. Lots of Tom Osborne in that offense. That's Frost, not Helrich. Well it is according to a friend of mine that is a booster at Oregon and has watched practice a few times. Oregon has been running the same offense since Kelly installed it. When Helfrich was the OC, Kelly was the one that implemented the offense until Kelly let Helfrich take over slowly but still put in his 2 cents. It is no different now between Helfrich and Frost. He did say that Frost is very well liked up there by everyone and that the players absolutely love him. He said that Frost isn't the best recruiter but is slowly becoming one and that High school coaches are really beginning to like him. The misconception from many is that since Helfrich was OC in name only, then it must be the same for Frost. It isn't. I've heard from Helrich's mouth that Frost calls the plays. It's also been reported in The Oregonian, the state's largest newspaper. As far as the offense, we'll have to agree to disagree on that as well. It's not the same IMHO. They've been forced to make tweaks because they've been unable to get the same dynamic running backs that Kelly was able to get. Luckily Mariotta makes up for a lot of it, but they've struggled when he's been hurt. Next year will be a big test for Helfrich and Frost because they haven't groomed a QB much like Bo and Beck haven't.

  14. What would have rather him run people over with? I'd rather he didn't run anybody over. My point is the man is nuts. Big, violent, unpredictable and nuts is tough to deal with.
  15. In Frost's defense, we're talking about Lawrence Phillips here. A guy who tried to run people over using a car. Also, it was Frost who restrained LeGarrett Blount when Blount tried to fight the crowd at Boise State.
  16. I'd take the guy who set the single game rushing record in 3 quarters. Against us.
  17. Not if you hire a name and fire Bo soon enough for that coach to re-recruit the kids.
  18. Our coach is weak mentally. Is it any surprise that his team is as well?
