  1. Just a week. This is probably the pinnacle of shame for an OSU fan
  2. I'm all for repping the 2nd string QB, but putting him in on your own 10 is just ridiculous. Put him in when you are on the 30+ at least and don't have to worry so much about 7 and can hold them to 3.
  3. From what I've seen of Denard, he's a flat out baller and has the slight edge on T-mart. I think T-mart is more like Crouch and Denard is more like Frazier.
  4. Mark Dantonio is the man, not even a heart attack can keep him down.Down 7 in OT? No Problem? Heart not working, let me just hit it with my fist!

  5. Oklahoma hasnt been consistent at all, they have played 1 good game against FSU...OSU has played three good games...Marshall, Miami, and Ohio 1. Alabama - til they get beat they are #1 in my book (they played the first 2 games without their two best guys (Ingram and that DT) 2. Oregon - Could be #1 but I think Saban is a better coach... 3. Nebraska 4. Ohio State 5. TCU I couldn't watch the OU-AF game due to it not being televised on ESPN. I was impressed with the sheer dominance against FSU and AFA is not a cakewalk. They are coming off a huge Bowl win and have had 2 solid performances to start the year. I feel that AFA will show that they aren't a team to be trifled with. The box score doesn't show terribly much to be concerned with for OU other than their Rushing. 2 3-and-outs, a turnover on downs and one long drive that resulted in a punt. Not terrible. Look, however, at someone like Ohio State. The Box score isn't much better than the OU one, and they aren't playing nearly the competition that Air Force provides. Trouble converting 3rd downs against Ohio. Couple of Interceptions. At this point, I consider AF a better opponent than Miami.
  6. I now have more respect for the AP POY award than the Heisman. That's for sure.
  7. I believe he meant if Oklahoma makes it to the CCG by winning out the south, otherwise we just have to worry about Texas twice.
  8. I'm basing this on the on-the-field performances. The win at Tennessee has them securely at #1 1. Oregon 2. Alabama 3. Nebraska 4. Oklahoma 5. TCU 6. Boise State 7. Utah 8. Ark 9. South Carolina 10. Stanford Teams that have shown me nothing good so far: Ohio State University Texas Florida Wisconsin These teams are rated based on their notoriety, not on their production. All of them look weak this year compared to their normal standards.
  9. Too many penalties. Amukamara played well against a top talent, but had that holding and TD which were not standard for him.
  10. I agree. Helu looked amazing tonight. They are a great set of backs. We are lucky we have 2 backs to lean on and take the pressure off of Martinez. If we can keep all 3 healthy, this team will go places. One more point: -Our Kickoff and Punt coverage was excellent. Our Kickoffs were booming. Our punts were solid as usual. Our special teams impressed me today.
  11. You probably won't beat us tonight, but you are a class act.
  12. Most of the Prime cuts make their way to premiere markets like NYC. So, theoretically, Luger's is possibly the best steak anywhere. I'll definitely hit it up the first time I travel through NYC on the way home. It is true that they look down on putting sauce on the steak. It reminds me of Chicago where they will not put ketchup on your hotdogs. They give it to you in packets and ask you to put it on after you leave. I don't use real garlic because it is concentrated. I would have to fine mince it and that's too much work. I should consider bringing some steaks here to pair with some local garlic. The f'ing Carpathian variety of garlic is the best sh#t on the planet. Sweet mother of god, this garlic will change your life. I'm also a fan of whole peppercorns on top of the steak if it isn't a choice cut. I had a job for a while at the Animal Science department on campus. If you get lucky and know the right people they might ask you to come in and do a blind taste testing on steaks. I had some opportunities to try other meats, but I passed. I definitely don't cook the best steak here. One of the Meat Science faculty on campus probably holds the honor of cooking the best tasting steak I've ever eaten. If you are looking for a decent steak at a rock bottom price, I'd recommend the yearly Steak Fry at the Animal Science building. They get a bunch of meat donated by I believe Cargill. The price is 6 dollars, 5 in advance. It includes something like potatoes and corn and a can of soda. Money goes to block and bridle. It was on Sept. 9th so sadly you missed this years.
  13. Probably not the best Rush defense, but certainly the best Pass Defense due to the quality of our DBs and the scheme.
  14. I picked up some Choice Ribeyes from that store over on Pioneers and 70th street before I moved out of the states. Cooked them up with a dusting of Seasoning Salt and Garlic Powder. If you get a high quality cut like that and tell me it needs a sauce on top of it, I will ask you what you are smoking. Maybe for your Walmart purchases of Select meats and lower you might want to spruce it up, but for the kind of steaks you are purchasing from these online retailers... I'd say that a soft rub is all that you need. Still, why order from these guys when you know someone who can get you a block of ribeyes, Choice quality, straight from the packing plant. I love Nebraska!
  15. Iowa and Texas in trouble, UCLA losing (again). I could live with that.
  16. Yeah, no A&M fan is going to give a rat's ass about you if you are putting Texas in their place
  17. Sure they are overpriced, but to the masses who are unaware of what a good steak is, Omaha Steaks provides an easy solution to finding good beef. It's not like everyone understands the levels of marbling, dry-aging and which cuts are preferable for a good steak. Hell, I feel lucky that my father taught meat processing classes so I know more than the average individual.
  18. My link Nebraska is good enough to come in #1 in one poll
  19. 1. Enough beer in my fridge to make it through Saturday 2. Enough beer in my fridge to make it through Sunday 3. Enough food in my pantry to make it through Saturday 4. My couch not occupied by wife or cat 5. My feed of the game never going down
  20. We tooled around fumbling on trick-play wildcat WR plays rather than getting down to business. There is a reason you schedule the Idaho's of the world. You run some looks against them to see how your team is reacting, the playmakers stepping up. We will settle into a more defined offense against Washington and manage the clock for a victory. Your arguments use only the points statistics in your favor. That is destined to failure. You should look at sustained drives against our defense and the number of sustained drives you have put together. This might give you a better indication of what we're looking at. Also, consider the length of drives we have been putting together. It's not like we're 3 and outting all the time like last year.
  21. This game depends on how many picks Martinez throws. If he keeps the picks to 1, we win this easy. You guys do not have the caliber of players needed to stop an improved running game that was enough to move the ball solidly on a much better VTech front 7. Between our two workhorse backs (because we don't need to get 10-yard runs to win this) and our big-play threat in the QB... Watch out. We are confident simply because our strengths nullify your strengths much better than our weak passing game will affect the outcome. We've got lock-down DBs and great penetration plus a blitz wizard in Pelini. Overall, you could beat a team ranked as high as us, just not one with our makeup. I'd say you'd fare much better against the Oregons of the world than the Nebraskas.
  22. Remember how well this one worked versus Oklahoma the other year when they pick-6ed us almost immediately in the game?
  23. I think a +1 4-team playoff is the best option. A 16-team format will marginalize the regular season. Why would you play your starters in your last game if you are in the top 5. We would end up with dummy-games much like the NFL. 8-team formats are workable, but still... In the present format or a +1, you end up with importance on EVERY game of the season. This is something that college football is founded on and which makes it exciting end to end. If you are a conference champion from say, the SEC, Big Ten or whatever other top conference emerges, you will be in the top 4. The CCG from every conference should eliminate most 2-team situations from one conference. Only if you have 2 divisional teams, one with 1-loss will there be a set of two conference teams in the +1 format. In this case, you could have lost on the road and may be the better team at a neutral site so there is little concern of this. It also allows for teams like Boise to have a shot. A +8 means that some conferences are not left out, but it also leads to a problem because your champion may end up with a lot more losses than your other top teams because they squeak out a few good wins at the end of the season. This also marginalizes every game.
  24. To think, they just lost to a 1-AA team, and yet they still beat a top-15 team which we haven't done in how long... Maybe we should have hired Gill
