I came back this weekend to visit the family and catch the Huskers on TV. Today I was out working on my son's car and my father-in-law came over.
We talked for a bit about the Huskers. I have not seen him since the begining of the season so we should have shared different views of how the team is progressing. Well, we share the same views. Mind you, I am not influenced by what is said here, but we both agreed that Callahan doesn't seem to know how to blow teams out...wait, I mean quality teams.
My brother-in-law came over last night to watch the game and made a statement that Callahan is still playing with Solich's team. I felt that statement was a bit odd, but didn't argue with someone who actually lives in Lincoln.
I still feel the O line is vulnerable. The secondary, likewise. Could this be the reason why Callahan plays the way he does? We certainly have a lot of weapons and as long as we are winning things are dandy in my world. But like others have stated, we need to start pounding these teams into submission. A win over MU and UT will do us wonders, but throttling KSU and the likes will do us justice as well.
