Been saying it for 3 weeks now. How about a series for Vendral or McCaffrey? Just see what it looks like. Martinez is goi g to get Robison or Spielman killed by the end of the season.
Are bad snaps counted as a stat? Seem like Jurgens has probably set a single season record 5 games in. Almost seems like it's impossible to consistently snap it bad that many times.
To answer your question, yes we are that desperate. It wasn't too long ago that nine wins was unacceptable. Now we want to just make a bowl game and maybe win the West on a good year.
Fair points. And I hope this team does figure it out and turns it around. Unfortunately I don't think that will happen unless Martinez plays with confidence and doesn't look scared and timid out there. This team will only be as good as Martinez and the offense. And right now he / they are playing below average so that is what the team is. The defense isn't going to carry this team.
If NU plays OSU a 100 times this season, they maybe win 1. We aren't in the same universe of competing with them on their worst day. Their second string would win at a rate of > than 50%.against our 1s.
As someone who was happy Bo Pelini was let go, the dude won 9 games every year. I'd be happy to get back to winning 9 games again after realizing that winning 9 games apparently is much harder to do than I thought in the Big 10 West.
Or we could just see what Vendral or McCaffery can do if your QB1 isn't up to the task to execute the offense he was recruited her to run. Overhauling the entire offense mid season seems like the nuclear option.
Let's not make excuses for Martinez. Online is bad but he is inaccurate and indecisive when he has time. He turns the ball over multiple times every game. If he is the starter for another 2 years it's not going to get any better and we should just get used to sub 500 seasons.
