Doesnt matter if he spoke yesterday, my mom has it and was fine on friday afternoon and by saturday afternoon she was totally smoked. I highly doubt she was fine if she has the H1N1 virus as the onset can take up to 3 days for full on infections. She might have the regular flu, but it wouldn't just pop up over night being H1N1. Hey all im sayin is she was at work friday. Got home, didnt start feeling well and by saturday afternoon she was still in bed, by monday she was still sick and vomiting and went to the doc and they tested her for H1N1 and confirmed it. So you can take it for what its worth. She works in a Dr's office as a nurse so i am pretty sure where she got it from. Just because someone was speaking to a reporter over 24 hrs ago doesnt mean he was feeling totally legit at that time. Hey! Positive thinking here people!

I was fortunate to attend the majority of said games when they were still our whipping post (1997, 1999, 2001), however, I was also unfortunate enough to attend the first game they had defeated us in 25 years (funny enough - exactly my age at the time). Strangely, the experience was exactly the same every year - including 2003 when they finally broke their massive losing streak....bad. Their fans are a bunch of slack-jawed yokels that hate everything that is Nebraska. Every year, MU fans were in our faces while walking to the game. Beer cans littered the highway adjacent to the stadium. Jack Daniels bottles were constantly afloat in the late autumn air, all in spite of their neighbors to the north. And that attitude stands to this very day. Nothing has changed, even after several lopsided wins for them. They are poor losers - and they are poor winners. It's ingrained in their DNA. It will never change. Go to a game in Columbia, my friend. On that note, I feel obligated to post this picture:

I will admit..I am one of the first to jump on the "let's blow up Missouri Bandwagon".......but all of this assuming whether or not our team (as a whole or by position) is better than Mizzou is getting so old. I know this is a message board and this one of the few outlets where we can vent...but it is making us look foolish. For the love of GOD...no one living or dead knows what will happen on Thursday! Let's just be civil....hope for a great game...and then WHEN IT IS OVER! There was a current thread talking about the Ins and Outs of Nebraska Football....How the times have changed and that we as fans should question ourselves. Will the streak continue? Do we judge ourselves too much from what ESPN says..... You know what... I am damn proud to be a fan that despite the fact that we went 7-7 in 2002 and 5-6 in 2004 and 5-7 in 2007....and of course..not beating a top team on the road for how many years .......I never stopped cheering my F**king guts out for the Huskers. We have lived through the callahan era...we have been Husker faithful for as long as we can remember.... Sorry to be so damn dramatic but we ARE the best fans in college football...the fans that have kept this amazing sell out streak alive...the fans that clap for the skers walking off the field after a losing season. I love the Big Red and I know you all do too (or you wouldn't even be reading this) and it is time to tell all those "Naysayers" that we will be here for another 300.... f Mizzou (haha) sorry couldn't resist.

It is when the refs don't use the rule of a "defenseless player" correctly. Then a hard hit is incorrectly called hitting a defenseless player. ....you guys should exchange phone numbers and finish this fight elsewhere...... jk....

Of course, I wish we could have come away with a W.....however, like stated in an earlier post..this game made us a better team...showed us where we need to work a bit more (penalties). Overall, I think if we take this loss and learn from it....we can run the table on the north and make a good play for the Big 12 Championship. Great game. Two good teams. Move on. Still have 9 games to look forward to! GO BIG RED!

Zach Lee if you look at how we hoped he would do well....and he is.. For me..I think Crick is living up to his hype just as much. The guy is a monster like SUH!

I think it hurts us even if we just win by a wisker Now come on...most of the country is expecting us to lose this game...when we win...big or small..it's a W that we can be proud of! I don't care if Va Tech goes on to lose every other game this season...going into another teams house and pulling off an upset (and it would be an upset) is a win to hang your hat on.....
