  1. Cute kid - Looks like you guys had a great time! Like a few others said, it's nice to see you raising your kid right. He looks like he is having a blast, and I bet this is something he will always remember. Thanks for sharing, and what a great day it was! Perfect weather, my favorite game of the year so far (I have been to all of them). Go Big Red! And wear Red next time!
  2. If you have it, add me: obryanstars@msn.com And send it to me there. I would really appreciate it!
  3. Does anyone know where I can find the song "Can You Feel It?" I need it for a video I'm working on... Thanks in advancec
  4. BTW was anyone at the game yesterday? I noticed they played the 'integrity at Nebraska' piece featuring Gameday and TO on the big screen. Seems like we didn't have nearly as many boos after the video played haha
  5. Officiating at Memorial Stadium has been terrible all season. I can think of blatantly obvious calls in every single game, but I think it's the overall consistancy that really stands out. The fact of the matter is, they don't call fouls both ways. They let things go for other teams that they call on Nebraska. They protect opposing players with bogus "roughing" penalties, yet call nothing in the same situation for us. And ultimately, calls are not being made against the opposing team. Penalties are 3, 4, even 5 to 1 against us. I don't care how bad Nebraska might be playing at times, there is no way that in every single game we have been that sloppy. Calls are simply not being made. f#*k the reffs
  6. Thanks for the feedback, I'll take it into consideration for next time
  7. I just realized this thread is a year old
  8. I would suggest getting to the game really early 8 or 9AM. This way you have time to walk around and enjoy the tailgating atmosphere. Maybe score some free food as well! You will see lots of Husker fans (including kids) running around having fun. Just seeing thousands of people dressed in red and excited for the game will get him energized and excited. Buy him a souvenir (a hat, football, tshirt) so he has something to remember this game by forever. Your friend was right, there are indeed quite a few cool activities going on at the northern track field before the game. Just take a look, you can't miss it. About an hour before game time take him down to the field (on the sidelines where fans can walk around and stand next to the fence/husker bench). The players will come out to warm up, and he can watch them practice up close. It's very cool, trust me. Make sure you buy him a red balloon and get in your seats before the band starts playing! Tell him about the balloon tradition (letting it go on the first score) and make sure he waits until the first touchdown. Make sure he knows all of the chants and participates. Go Big Red! HUSKER POWER!! Get him involved and help him to learn the words/songs/traditions. Finally, get him excited for the tunnel walk and tell him how cool it is before it starts. When the screen goes black, he will be jumping out of his chair with everyone else. Those are the big things. I know the food is expensive, but there is something special about enjoying food at the stadium. Maybe get him a pizza/drink to kill time before the game starts. It will be a special meal. Overall, I think you guys are going to have a great time! Ultimately make sure you answer all of his questions, keep him involved, have fun yourself, and make this a day you will both remember forever. Good luck and have a blast!
  9. Who better to answer this question than Tom Osborne? Haha, but he does talk about it here: Tom Osborne Interview Go to 2:45
  10. It's all gotta happen one game at a time. It starts this weekend with Baylor, and hopefully after a win we can focus on an upset against Oklahoma. I think 8-4 is a strong possibility though. If we play our best we can give Kansas a good match, and we should beat Kansas State, Baylor, and Colorado.
  11. My dad went to Baylor and is a HUGE Bears fan haha. I am a student at UNL though, so my loyalty lies with the Huskers Have a great time in Lincoln though - it's a great city.
  12. It was a great experience I'm very lucky that he agreed to the interview
  13. Oh and I also thought I would add in - I can't believe he had his mailbox blown up. In Nebraska!?! That's crazy
  14. I appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching and more Husker stuff coming soon!

We touched on a variety of topics, including: his decision to hire head coach Bo Pelini, the future of the Husker Athletic Program, and whether or he has ever considered making a comeback (he received offers after retiring from Nebraska). We also talked about some of his favorite Husker memories, his early years at Nebraska, criticism he received (he actually had his mail box blown up after a loss), and the legacy he wants to leave behind. I would encourage you to watch all 4 parts of the interview in sequence. He talks about a lot of interesting things, and I learned a lot from this great man. I think you all can too. I left the room even more impressed by Coach Osborne, arguably the greatest coach in College Football history. Enjoy the video and please feel free to ask any questions - I will be happy to answer them. I will also be posting more Husker content through the season, so if you are a YouTube member subscribe - Bryan P.S. 16. Yea it' a lot of fun. I'm starting my own radio show soon and will be doing some internships this summer. And I am working on a Missouri vid as we speak
  17. I'm a little scared for some of those journalism classes now hehe
  18. I think the VT music builds up the suspense to playing the Hokies. And to be fair, we play Enter Sandman to get pumped up for Husker games as well. It worked out well Thanks for the comments
  19. haha, I posted this at 3AM last night. You got me though. Corrected Any thoughts on the video?
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tCsLjudj1s (behind the scenes) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAGaMGBTDOw (full interviews with Pelini and Mike Ekeler) Hello everyone. I am a longtime reader and student at UNL. I am also a Broadcasting Major and an avid Husker fan. Recently I began reporting for WOWT Channel 6 as an intern on their entertainment show: The Omaha Buzz. This week I had a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes, and see how the team prepares for a big game. I also had a chance to take a look at how Memorial Stadium and ABC prepare for for a televised game. These are just the first of many videos this season on the Huskers, so if you like what you see, subscribe! I just really wanted to share this video with everyone here as obviously it is catered toward this crowd. So please take a look and let me know what you think! I appreciate it. - Bryan Note: In two weeks I will be interviewing Tom Osborne (so stay tuned for that!). And this Saturday, if Gameday comes to the Nebraska vs Missouri game I will be there doing a story. So say hi to me if you're there! Go Big Red!
