  1. I think we're done for this class. We had to be very selective and we accomplished that. Now for 2011!
  2. Todd Reesing is the best quarterback in Kansas history and is already million times better than Zach will ever be. Zach will be just like Zac Taylor and Joe Ganz, good managers. I love them but Reesing is a gamer. Briscoe will play week 1 and have no problems throughout the season. If you think any different, you're crazy. The questions with KU lie in the D-line and Linebackers. If Mangino puts quality on the field and they stay healthy...watch out.
  3. Can't wait to see this during a night game....Spectacular!
  4. We need to take anyone we can get where every they want to play.
  5. yeah kick Norman out. I still put Lawrence #1....Austin is barely even a college town but still better then the rest.
  6. They usually stick the Skers fans opposite of the bowl by the building.
  7. I was listening to the Dan Patrick show yesterday and they joked about this for a while. Even enough to get David Feherty (CBS golf commentator who usually follows Tiger on the course) to come on the show and talk about "the incident." He was walking with Tiger at the time. He said there was no way it was Tiger or his caddie, Steven Williams. Besides, you can hear Tiger laugh and then say "are you serious?" Feherty also said it probably came from the gallery but said this in a way that made it sound like he did it himself. Too funny! DP believes it was Feherty...I'll go with DP.
  8. While KU has upgraded their facilities considerably I wouldn't call it a tie. We still have a little edge. Hell Swigert had been to Ohio State and Mich but was still blown away by what we have. Also, Lawrence is nice, and it's close to KC, but WAY better than Lincoln? No. Like I said it's just my opinion. I'm from Omaha and spent over 12 years going to Lincoln for games, golf, etc....and it is a great town but no where near the quality of city as Lawrence. I spent 4 years in Lawrence and 2 years in KC (going back to Lawrence) and I don't think the 2 cities even compare. IMO Austin and Lawrence are by far the best two cities in the Big 12. I personally put Lincoln no better then 5th best - behind Lawrence, Austin, Boulder, and Norman.
  9. Nebraska vs Kansas: Tradition: Nebraska Facilities: Nebraska Championships: Nebraska Players In The NFL: Nebraska Coaching Staff: Nebraska Facilities are not as important as many people think. Also, KU just put a ton of money into their football facilities and they are as good as you can find anywhere. The only thing that still sucks is the stadium itself. KU also has Lawrence. Lawrence is an awesome city.....much better than Lincoln (sorry but it's true). The campus is also much better at KU. Let's also not forget that our society has the "what have you do for me lately" outlook. So IMO..... Tradition: N Facilities: even Championships: barely matters (these kids don't remember the 90s - - besides this could fall under tradition) Players in the NFL: N Coaching Staff: even (remember, what have you done for me lately....Mangino has done plenty) City: KU Campus: KU
  10. Any interest in NU? Rivals answers with a "No." Big lean towards Arkansas? We should step up our efforts...
  11. rumor (ugh maybe should use another word) has it........ well supposedly Vestal and Wheeler loved their visit and give it 10/10 so take it for what it is..... scout has a teaser saying we are tied at the top of his list. guess who we are tied with..........kansas.
  12. B)--> QUOTE(Husker B @ Aug 1 2009, 10:27 AM) 448366[/snapback] Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat but, since I can't get that out here I'll go with my ole trusty backup Henieken Boulevard Wheat is bar far my favorite beer, but like Husker B, I can't get it in Chicago. I usually stick with Goose Island products like Honker's Ale (an amber) or 312 (wheat). I basically love amber beers and could drink it all day (and do).
  13. Terry decommits from Nebraska By The Lincoln Journal Star Friday, Jul 31, 2009 - 09:57:31 pm CDT Wide receiver recruit Keeston Terry is decommitting from Nebraska in favor of Big 12 rival Kansas. “My decision had nothing to do with the people up in Lincoln or the coaching staff,” Terry told Scout.com via text message. “There are great people up there with awesome fan support but I just felt more comfortable in Lawrence.” Terry’s announcement leaves the Huskers with four known commitments for the 2010 class. [+]Enlarge Story Photo Story Photo The Blue Springs, Mo., native’s parents are KU alums. “I was real torn between the two schools but you can only choose one and my heart was leading me to a different direction,” Terry told Scout.
  14. I can't confirm anything. In fact, after the guy on the KU board posted the "call to Nebraska and commit to KU" comment a few people totally discredited what he said. I just spoke with a friend who said this guy has a strange history when it comes to posting on the KU message boards. All in all, I'm just scared with the way recruiting is going. Again, I can't confirm anything.
  15. I am not a happy Husker fan right now. What in the world is this staff thinking? Hard to get a hold of??? Are you kidding me?? This is a year round sport. It never stops. We have 4 recruits and everyone else in the Big 12 has many (except CU and ISU....don't tell me we've dropped that far).
  16. I'm a little surprised with Wyoming. I'm surprised not 1 of the many Husker fans in that state has found HB yet.
  17. One thing that screws the numbers also is JUCO players. It's great to get a 5 star JUCO but there is more of a chance he will bust (ANDRE JONES) than a 5 star coming out of high school. There will always be a larger number of awards for 3 star players b/c there are way more player rated as 3 stars. IMO we do put too much emphasis on stars AS FANS. Take what Mark Mangino has done at Kansas. The only 2 All American players he's had at Kansas were both 2 stars (Aquib Talib and Anthony Collins) coming out of high school. If coaches do their homework (unlike Bill Callahan) and are good enough coaches to make their players better (unlike Bill Callahan) then they will do what is best and offer who they want.
  18. Loved his visit to Nebraska this weekend. Said we have the best facilities he's seen (been to Michigan, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Stanford and Notre Dame). Says he planning to come back for a game day in the fall. He also said he enjoyed the visit to Stanford a day before making it to Lincoln.
  19. Sorry about the repeated information....I didn't notice it was posted b/c of all the off topic posts....whoops
  20. Curtis was just added to the rivals top 250 list. He now is rated and comes in at Number 199. I hope we land this kid SO BAD!!!
  21. How in the heck is NY not represented yet? Get your crap together NYC
