I love all the Cory Ross talk. I wouldn't necessarily put him as my favorite but he was SOOO important to our team. I loved watching him catch screen passes or dump offs and turn them into big gains. Back on LP...I just remember him coming into spell Calvin Jones (I think...could be wrong....long time ago) and just taking over. Also, that first drive where he took the little screen pass and housed it! Amazing! Then the next run on the video below is even better. What if I rephrase the question......the team we run into the most regardless of geography, conference, etc??? What team is our biggest competition? I know we'll compete with USC in Cali, LSU in LA, Florida in FL, etc. But my question is.....what team do we run into the most? Last year I felt we competed the most with KU and MU, this year is seems to be more Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.......outside of the plenty we offer who are committed to Texas and OU.

No, it's still not an uphill battle. Right now we are almost in cruise control with our lead for Aaron. And yes, USC did want Lucky. Carroll even made it a point to visit Lucky's ballgames while committed to us in hopes of getting him to switch. Plus whats it matter when teams like LSU and Florida came into Cali (which they never do) to offer a kid? Florida offered Lucky :-)

If anyone wants to get a better feel for how Aaron feels regarding us and recruiting in general, I would def recommend listening to the HI Radio with him... it's free. He talks alot about his faith, his bro getting moved in, and how he has developed a great bond with coach Brown, calling him a good, spiritual man. He also said "that might need to be the place I need to be." Apparently, Andrew ended up picking us because he felt spiritually comfortable here, and no where else. Definitely interesting... we do seem to have a good start. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders and is ready to make a smart decision. yeah you're correct other schools are playing catch up to Bo and company but it is still an uphill battle. when was the last time we got a top 5 RB that every one else wanted??? you better not say Lucky b/c USC didn't want him. Until we consistently pull in 5 stars, every time we go after one it will be an uphill battle....even if his older brother plays at Nebraska.

Huskers Illustrated On his status: "He's currently a verbal commitment to UNLV. He'll either be a grayshirt for some school and enroll in January or he'll go to junior college." He says he's going to stay in contact with Nebraska.

An article on OSU's rivals page said he is 100% solid to OSU and is only taking trips to camps to play against good competition. He even has a count down to the day he'll be on campus next year.

Last year I would have to say we went head to head with Kansas or Missouri. This year it seems like we are going head to head a lot with Oklahoma State. Obviously, Texas and Oklahoma take a lot of the top recruits in the region but there is plenty of talent left and for the purpose of this thread, I say they aren't considered. Your thoughts??
