you know i've got no real job security at this point just crashed my mom's car which i was borrowing to get groceries for her and all of this nebraska business life is pretty lame right now..... i wonder what curtis carter will think of all of this..... in other news my neighbor across the street mr. mcmackin just made some national news and just got suspended for 30 days for making a gay slur (repeatedly toward notre dame) with no pay i think......

so i've already had a crappy week but this is the worst news soo far... WE have alll heard rumors Bo and Company is weak-sauce when it comes to recruiting.. but total chaos, not being accessable to recruits... some tiems i think we are too optomistic... REALITY CHECK we are a great top notch program but when everyone around us is pulling in recruits all around us (even lesser teams) you know something is wrong.... BO kicks ass but they gotta get their shizzz together with recruiting......

28 years old.... Huskers vs. Wake (living in NC at the time) but plan to see them when they play Washington and UCLA.... basiclly any time the huskers come to the West Coast i'm there!!

Wow, what's your story? my dad was from lincoln (have visited the state about 4 times... dream of seeing a game in lincoln) and moved out to hawaii after dropping out of UNL after two years due to personal reasons (had to help jail bird brother) cruised in hawaii and met my mom who was also born in hawaii.. and thus my story... just have a lot of fond memories of watching husker games on TV and especially on the radio with my dad growing up... and lots of fun stories from his days on campus and his fraternity days going to football games..... been a hawaii born and bred husker fan for life!!! i have only seen 1 husker game : Nebraska vs. Wake Forest when i was living in NC.... (which we won!) BUT I hope to fly out to see Nebraska play U Dub in in Washington and hopefully UCLA.... on a side note i love across the street from the head coach of the University of Hawaii football team and i always ask him to bring out nebraska out here.... he just laughs and so do i... but one can dream in a perfect world.... BRAH i FUNKING LOVE THIS FOOTBALL TEAM SOO MUCH!!

You are misunderstanding what I'm saying. 1. I'm pointing out that it makes perfect sense to worry about a recruit who has signed on the dotted line and is on campus. 2. It's completely pointless to worry about a kid who hasn't signed his LOI yet. 3. It's merely your assumption that if we miss out on Carter that whoever we do get won't be as fast, quick, agile etc. While it's possible that's the case it's not certain. How can you say with 100% certainty that the plan b, c or even d won't be just as good? You can't. I want the best players as well...we all do. Just don't go crazy when we don't get the top guys. Often times the top prospects want cash, a high profile job for ma or pa or even uncle Joe. At Arkansas, remember that QB, the one who transferred to USC? He signed with Arkansas because his his school coach was named the Razorbacks new OC. To think that recruiting comprises only what happens on the field, well... i think some people are just meaning that WHY can't we go and try to get top talent rather than just settle for for options...

Really need? No. Would it be nice to sign him? Sure. According to a poster above, Nebraska is Carter's #1 choice right now-which is very nice and I'll be really happy if he signs with the Huskers. However, if we don't sign this kid come February, the sun will still rise and life will go on. No. Armageddon will be amongst us all if Curtis Carter does not sign with the Huskers in February. I understand you were being sarcastic. However... Unfortunately some of the more passionate Husker fans among us, and by passionate I mean insane, would take it as such, especially if Carter commits and then signs with another team. I wasn't on this particular board, but I was on another Husker board when the whole Josh Freeman debacle broke and, at the time, their were some Husker fans who I seriously thought were either going to have: 1) a stoke, 2) a coronary and/or 3) their heads would explode. well i am not a recruiting expert but i follow this board pretty often.. sometimes i get pretty worried about the lax attitude that some people have hear... 'well we dont need him' 'it dont matter if he comes here or not' well i wonder who do we need? and when will they show up?? we can't keep thinking that all this talent will fall into our lap... we need to go out and get kids and make them want to come to nebraska or you know what we are never gonna challenge for anything serious again.. 9 wins is awesome but i hope nebraska can get into a BCS game contend every year and kiss ass.... when it comes to chilling on recruiting brah we need to get going in my opinion and do all we can to get kids here instead of just shrugging our shoulders when a recruit doesn't committ..... theres lots more opputrunities but the good deals are going fast and we dont want to be stuck with only dented cans at the grocery store... aloha

this local boy lives down the road from my mom in laie.... big mormon town on the east side of oahu same place manti teo is from all the boys down here are gnarly giants local polynesisans... the local football team kahuku is all rugged and ready to play... hopefully i'll run into him sometime and bust out some positive things to say about nebraska.....

i am tripping out reading all this stuff... i am really optomistic but at the same time reall wondering how everthing will fall into play... Bo sets the standards pretty high so hopefully we can overcome a lot of the pieces that we are going to be missing... i think realisticly we are gonna be missing some BIG pieces from last year and consistency is really going to be the key... i guess we will still have to guess until spring ball rolls around so we can learn a little bit more about what the future holds

i would tend to agree but but you can never be too sure... being around a lot of polynesian people over the years family is really important to them... thus being close to family or atleast a community that is similar to their ethnicitiy and values is also very important as well. So if i had to take a stab i think he will stay close to home or maybe on the west coast... but his choses are so diverse he might be the kind of kid who just wants to break out and escape... so five minutes later i guess there is no real point in speculation....

wow yeah that would be great.... will it happen? lets hope that the chance to play for bo and all the great things he has done will sway some of these kids...... i'd like to see heimuli and omigie as my top two

I got nothing beyond what was last posted in the Joshua Brown thread. Tostenson supposedly had an offer that was taken away. I don't remember if this was after he had to transfer or after he was suspended or something like that, but it was before the most recent knee injury. Rivals shows his only offer as from Iowa so there must be something everyone else has seen that gives them pause. I have read others say the problem with him is off the field, but I have no specific knowledge. huh thats what im saying... one day everyone is pumped that he's about to committe and we need corners and how great he is and all this stuff.. then the days roll by and we hear nothing.. and its like we just gave up... as for tostenson i dind't want go as far as another guy but i guessed he checked out one tostensons games and said he looked like a scrub so much for the number one player in nebraska this year... whats our top 10-15 looking like for next year?? anyone like rodriquez will be a 5 *

in all of my infinite stupidity i was wondering if we are still recruiting joshua browni remember we had the whole 'all i have to do is call coach beck (?) and committ' rumor going around.... he is still listed as pretty high on nebraska still.. though i know we have just a few (2?) more spots where do you think he fits in.. i am trying to remember but are we still in need or a good corner?? not sure.... just wanted to check out what you guys had to say... also what about Vondrae Tostenson... no offer but he is still super interested.. lazyness? bad grades? cracked out knee?? i've heard people say he doesn't even look like a good D-1 guy..... but then again who knows!! hope everyone is doing well
