Once again, NFL has 0 bearing on this game. NONE, NADA, BUPKISS. I'm not sure why you can't understand such a simple concept.

I keep thinking I wouldn't mind them joining, but then realize, they're always going to want to do things their own way, despite the fact they'll sign on the dotted line to the contrary. They're like snake-oil salesmen, and I would never ever EVER trust them. If they are permitted to join the B1G, I would put everyone on notice right now that they need to be FIRM for what is best and right for the conference, and not be blinded by $$$.

His. Receivers. Dropped. Several. Catchable. Touchdowns. Against. Texas. You ask if people read around here. I'm going to ask - do you watch the games? Outrunning opponents isn't Martinez' only ability. We have ONE quarterback right now. And people are still looking to replace him. Unreal. That ONE quarterback also had pretty much similar, if not better, stats as a freshman than Crouch did as a senior. I really don't know what the hell people want.

Sorry, my bad, I *did* assume you were inferring that, but you are right - you didn't say it. I just think he gets some unfair criticism at times, and blamed for things. It would just be nice to have a luxury of an O-Line that would give him a little more time and then he might look more polished/multi-dimensional.

Here's more OUCH: The "best FCS team in the country" just lost to South freaking Dakota. South FREAKING Dakota scored 30. Same number of points the almighty Huskies scored against them.

I'm actually watching a replay of the KU game. I think KU is looking much improved from last year, and the score makes it sound like it was a shootout that could have gone either way.

Next week Wisconsin plays Northern Illinois on the road. Their offense is somewhat similar to NU's. So, those saying they play a cupcake non-con are mostly correct, but Northern Illinois is no slouch whatsoever. Last year doesn't carry over, (and they ARE a MAC team) I know, but last season they did beat Fresno in their bowl game 40-17, trounced OSU's previous opponent (Toledo) 65-30, and all of their 3 losses were on the road. Though I do expect Wisconsin to handle them, I expect to see a "closer than the experts think" type game. Intriguing matchup, though, because I really want to see how they handle that style of offense. If they can completely shut down NIU, then we may be in for a long day in Madison.

17.5 favorites against UDub. I think it will be a bit closer, but for reference, last year I believe someone on here said we were favored by 6. And as an aside, if you go back to about page 76-ish, you'll see we are repeating ourselves about our first two games then, and now almost verbatim saying the same things.
