  1. warning... language may not be suitable for work, children, the elderly, your clergy... etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHmvkRoEowc
  2. It's not just cox, and having 5000 threads is no different than any previous year when the game was on PPV. Remember THOSE days? :-) SOOOOO glad to be done with that crap, and that alone makes it all worth the threads relating to scheduling.
  3. WOOT -- Their game finder app finally shows it in my area, for the first time today.... anyone else who was worried, give it a shot: http://www.bigtennetwork.com/generic/programming/Gamefinder
  4. Let the speculation begin. I saw this on another forum regarding flight tracking between University of Oklahoma, Columbia, MO, and College Station, TX. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/OUA36/history/2%200110828/2300Z/KCLL/KOUN Any tea leaves here, or no?
  5. What provider do you have? Some carriers have BTN2Go http://www.bigtennetwork.com/generic/video/BTN2Go I'm starting to have my doubts about getting it here, too. There are two 'active' channels listed on my Comcast lineup, and only one has a game listed during that time, and I don't get the BTN2Go thing (yet).
  6. What I most want to see are the threads after the game complaining about the lack of sacks.
  7. There's certainly charm to the traditions, I'm a big fan of the traditional bowls - even though they leave the final standings murky. I must say, however, that it was magical the first time we pointed across the field to see JoPa standing there. ... and for some reason, I find the addition of NU to the conference magical as well. Hell - I'm hanging around this board as much as the RCMB. As I've said in other threads - every NU game in the B10 this year is like a bowl game. With no ill will towards NU, somehow I feel like the conference needs to represent well in these first couple of years and not let some newcomer slap the conference around. I'll be watching every NU game this year like it's January 1. I think that the trick is to add quality teams with great traditions. Exactly. And, that's kind of the problem, too. If further expansion is the way of the future (against my wishes), I hope at least the B1G is in on the quality schools that will listen to an offer. If they take a wait and see approach, and 14-16 teams becomes the norm and not the exception, I certainly wouldn't want "leftovers" just to fill some slots.
  8. ND would probably go to the B12 over the B10, if they went to any conference at all. Think about it - the Bevo conf has unequal revenue sharing and allows special treatment of the cash cows. Notre Dame could not join any other conference EXCEPT for Bevo because no other conf would allow special provisions.
  9. I hate it, too. College football has been "fun", mostly in part because of traditional rivalries and the stories that go along with it. These super conferences just sterilizes it for me and I hope it doesn't come down to being forced down our throats. Either 10 or 12 is just right.
  10. In the grand scheme of things, I can't help but think that out of all the mess, Nebraska made the wisest choice and at the wisest time. Every time I see an article like this, I feel such a sense of relief.
  11. had some downed trees here and a lot of limbs, but luckily not one of them fell on anything (or anyone). Now just one more day/night of wind.
  12. Sorry to hear that, but it's not unexpected. Good luck to him.
  13. That diamond formation someone on here did the diagram for looked pretty sweet. Me likey the potential of it.
  14. Don't get me wrong - I still love a good run game, but we do need to be able to pass when needed also. I am really excited to see what they do this year, and hope whatever it is they are planning on doing is effective.
  15. If GT craps the bed again this year, will they stay with their option? 6 wins against what amounts to air doesn't make me think that the true option football can be the bread and butter alone.
  16. You're wrong? that's my opinion. That whole sentiment got us Callahan in the first place. Things haven't evolved much... Tebow running the option won florida 2 titles basically. Paul Johnson was killing teams at Navy and has chronic over-achievers at GT now due to the option. As everyone else has said, see Oregon. and the zone read is 'option.' and you know what... we had an identity we could recruit to when we ran it. So, a 6-7 record last year was over achieving for GT? My fear is (and you could be correct in saying I'm wrong), once your opponents get familiar with it, it's no longer an advantage. EDIT: to add that GT's 6 wins last year were against the crappiest possible teams. A depleted NC team, Duke, South Carolina State, close one over WF, Virginia, and Middle Tennessee.
  17. I thought Oregon was more of a spread type thing.
  18. Why are people practically drooling over the possibility of running an option based offense? Sure it was great fun to watch in the 90's, but things have evolved, IMO, and if 'we' started running that type of offense, I think it could actually hurt recruiting in the future. What's your opinion?
  19. The "hide" feature is my favorite thing about FB.
