  1. It looks like the fighting Boogers might just pull this one out after all. Of course if they win, it will be in spite of Boog, not because of him.
  2. That's why I want them to win by 1 point. Big 12 gets the win, but since MU was so highly favored, it's still an embarrassment of sorts to them personally.
  3. Crap, I'm gonna miss him. Who are we going to make fun of when Boog's gone? There will always be Corky at Colorado. Yeah, but we'll have to work a little harder for Corky. Boog makes it so easy.
  4. Crap, I'm gonna miss him. Who are we going to make fun of when Boog's gone?
  5. that plays right into the hands of my "MU wins by 1 point" deal.
  6. That worked out well for them! I really expected MU to dominate this game, but they look rather pathetic other than the punt return. I wonder if their OC is focused on his upcoming job. Or is he even there now?
  7. I missed the beginning of the game - who gets it to start the 2nd half?
  8. weren't you the one who said the pooching stunk? That's why they were doing it.
  9. that's exactly what I was JUST thinking (well, minus the nose thing). I want a 1 point win for Missouri in a scare.
  10. It's the Brains versus Boogers Bowl, Brains up 7-0. I usually root for all big 12 schools, but honestly I wouldn't care if this game went to the little televen.
  11. Fox Sports picked a stud from each bowl team who will (likely) be playing their last college football game. Joe Ganz is our featured stud. http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/pgStory?conte...p;photo=8957812 C.J. Spiller is Clemson's featured stud. http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/pgStory?conte...p;photo=8956956
  12. Really? He seems very quiet and introverted from the few times I've seen him. Sounds like you're describing Ekeler, cuz that guy's a psycho. I mean that in a good way, of course.
  13. I'm less concerned with who's punting than I am who's covering. It's been on the atrocious side. I'd prefer Henery just stick to what he's done best so far, despite the fact that I think he's more than capable of punting.
  14. I will definitely give him a lot of credit. Honestly, for awhile there he had none and I started to wonder if he was actually doing anything. Nice to see some home run hits and totally prove me wrong!
  15. Did anyone just see the Southern Miss guy break his leg? Just the way he landed when trying to catch a pass and his bone just snapped in half. Even the defender was slightly freaked about it. I hope he can recover from something like that, for next year.
  16. Not to pee in the wheaties, but will he make it? His grades/scores (according to Scout's profile) seem way too low for my taste. But, for now I'm definitely going party! :star :star
  17. For those who were excited about Gabbert, I have a serious question. What about Gabbert got (nearly) everyone excited? My experience with following recruiting started well after he bailed, and thus far I know very little about him. (Well, except I can predict there will be future booings every time he steps foot onto Tom Osborne Field).
  18. I really only followed recruiting for the last part of the 2008 class, so I don't have vast knowledge/insight here. Based on only my limited experience, I was really pumped about Will Compton. We needed that guy to "come back", badly, after so many jumped ship.
  19. There was a fairly long thread earlier - I think Dayton lost, but was a shootout. Someone posted that Cody had 6 touch downs (and 1 int) plus close to 100 yards rushing. http://www.huskerboard.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31440
  20. I still like the look alike thread where someone compared Hawkins to Janet Reno.
  21. He was the better of two, the team favorite, and got a raw deal. With that noted and since he did what was in his best interest - how is him leaving ISU immature, and bush league? It's not that he left, that happens a lot. The guy does have to do what's best for himself, I agree with you there. It's how and when he left. Why not just wait until the season ends? He squandered opportunities that could have only helped him in the long run had he gutted the season out and left then. IMO, how/when he left made him seem like a baby. Quitting when things don't go your way, or when there's a bit of adversity, does not a good leader make. Plus, I just remember his dad spouting things off about Nebraska that didn't sit well with me at all, and that just adds to my less than favorable opinion of the matter.
  22. I haven't really been following recruiting, so I may have missed something -- what's the story on D. Washington?
