Usually the loser of a conference game doesn't get a BCS bowl. I can't even think of an example where a CCG loser got a BCS bowl. The extra game is a double-edged sword - gives the winner a supreme advantage and the loser a supreme disadvantage.

OH how I wish our defense was on par with MSU this year. Or even 1/2 as good. I'm afraid UM offense will be like a knife through butter unless something miraculously changes by then. That said, our offense is evolving, too, so it could be a high scoring affair.

MU gotta do what MU wants, but I don't think they fit that well culturally. That's just my outsiders opinion, though - seems that the fan base is split between B1G and SEC. I think they fit better in the B1G, personally.

I think MSU has a chance at an upset since Wisconsin hasn't been tested with a defense like MSU has, and haven't had a real road game until now. That being said, I have to root FOR Wisconsin anyway because of how it affects the division standings.

3 points were added as the HFA in the calculated "point spread".

If I was a true nerd, I'd use my own ranking system.

They go to Stanford next, but yeah, they've been quietly putting together a solid season. They just got into the rankings, and will unfortunately it's most likely a short stay in the polls.

I say NO, since they haven't really done it yet (maybe against Wyoming?). And, by me saying NO, it means they will and that is why I don't bet.

Of course - by the end of the season it'll be fairly accurate, but then what's the point of predictions, and did I mention I was bored?

Right, because the teams haven't been connected fully. At this point of the season, it's now supposedly more accurate.

It all sorts itself out by the end... They will have between 2 and 4 losses before the end of the season. I doubt they'll win against any team from the state of Oklahoma, and Texas A&M and Texas could be toss ups. We, on the other hand, have our own demons to exorcise before the season concludes in order to talk about any other team being ranked ahead of us, including that team from Mancrappin.

I reviewed the future Big Ten conference schedules and used the 2nd to last column, 'Predictor' , from the Sagarin ratings on http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbc11.htm, and then adding/subtracting 3 depending on if it was a home/away game.

Big wins vs Iowa (13) , Minn (26), NW (19) Fairly large loss vs Michigan (-9) very close losses vs MSU (-0.4), PSU (-2).
