no sorry, i am not buying that crap.......they needed momentum from this game to start the season and they did not get it.........poor preparation/execution, focus, intensity, etc. hunter

former, although they looked like hell, it IS just the first game.........remember i said they are going to lose some games this year, that there is no doubt, but they must show improvement, from this game they have that opportunity......mental prep was sorely lacking on the offensive side of the ball, especially considering cally is nto the O line as he says........one thing for sure, the wide outs are not going to be consistent this year, serious lack of talent and consistency there.......... hunter

Cally better get the O line into some run blocking drills, besides pass protection, with our backs there is no way you pass on the opponents 1 yard line.....that is basic football 101, period!! we need to establish the run first, then throw the ball when the backers have to come up to stop the run........ hunter

yeah, ok....holding back some when score is 15-7? they got all we had to give...thank god Congdon can kick, that was the highlight of this opener, BC better get the boys back to work in a hurry......the O line sucked!! hunter

and......Chris Barclay didn't even play for Wake Forest today......and they still almost beat Vandy, anyway, i haven't given up hope, but was hoping more progress had been made in pre season works.....now the tough part will be to get better during the season, quickly enough to win some games against some much tougher opponents.........we obviously do need to recruit some more wide outs hunter

3rd down conversions and red zone offense were horrible........the o line better get their sh#t together and fast.......WF and pitt will come to play and they will bring better talent than Maine........could be a long season........ hunter

all i can say is grixby must be one hell of an improved athlete......still listed at only 165 lbs?? i can see teams with big wideouts taking advantage of this, at least at 190 lbs. bowman could at least be somewhat physical and match up with big wideouts...i hope i am wrong, but this looks like a problem to me......free safety better be around to help out on that side?? also i see many teams throwing on us deep early in the game, to get his down and rock the confidence of an untested defense......hope the boys are ready back there in the secondary hunter

nope, don't drink, but i do undestand jackson being less than 100% physcially and nothing was said about in in preseason , so thus my surprise.......mabe you know something the rest of us don't??? hunter

i imagine our stable of running backs makes him think there may be limited opportunity here? just a thought.....or he reallly like Iowa.....gotta remember that most of these guys coming out of high school now want 1st year playing time...i am wondering if that is getting to be more and more a factor governing their choices?? hunter

well, the closest i will get to Lincoln will be southwestern Kansas, dove hunting, but i will be wearing my neberaska colors, with my NU cooler, drinking beer and waiting for the scores on the TV at the local motel....sounds like the team is ready. holler for me at the game boys.........have fun and GBR!! hunter

i am not someone who will say "i told you so" but as i said much earlier this summer, it is too much to expect ANY freshman to come in and run the WCO... i still don't think he redshirts, he might, but probably not, let him get his feet underneath him and get adjusted, he will be fine, if not great when he settles down........ hunter
