I live in Louisiana and my friend, owns his own pest control business. He used to spray Bo's house ( which he did't let me know until Bo got a real coaching job) anyway, My friend Walt was graduating from LSU. Well BO was leaving to take the NEB job and Walts brother wanted Bo to get him a football helmet with all the players names. Bo told him to buy the helmet and ship it to him in NEB and he would get it back to him. Sure enough, Scott sent the helmet and Bo shipped it to him and wrote a letter. Telling Walt how proud of him that he stuck it out and finished school, even though walt is 39 and had a successful business

Yeah, that sucks, they are so SEC bias that I can't get a break! The sec fans know nothing about other leagues. We dominated them in the 90's and they are finally getting the best of the big 12 in 2000, big deal!

Nebraska is in the middle of nowhere, we have alot of people who bad mouth us for that! Maybe if we spiced up Lincoln like Omaha, it would be more appealing for recruits! also, we did have a quiet 9-4 season, once our defense gets on national stage, we will recruit great! I wish NEB would start doing camps down in southern domes, I know it would cost us money, but if we did a camp in Tx, Cal, and Fla if would totally gain alot of interest! I started this thread, not bragging on the star system! More as a reasscurance to those who were so hard on the recruiting class! When they say " we have no talent" we a possibility of starting 3 4 star backers

I think Lane is fine and they always have alot of crap when it comes to the SEC!! See Spurrier, Saban, and Urban being cheap!! I think that Lane will have them at the top and Monte will show Nicholas Saban what real D is!! Urban is alittle worried and should be, if OU wasn't so arrogant, they would have kept running the ball and took the points and won the game!

Why not beat OU? We will have 3 backers that should be all 4 stars and if they get beat out, oh well! We should have a veteran secondary and if our front four progresses like this year, skies the limit! By the time we play OU, we should know what we have on offense and the defense should be popping!!! GBGRED

Have u noticed that all the recruits the BP gets, loves contact! Look at the first class, they all lower and explode! I think with To in the background and BP's mind set. the real red will rise again

Also, if you put that all together with the fact that we will have a somewhat veteran secondary, skies the limit!

I would be really surprised if NU did not have quite a few guys bench 500 pounds or more. Just hanging around the weight room here at my small university I see someone throw 500 pounds every once in a while (and these are not football players). That is not to say that a 500 pound bench is not impressive. It is. But there are plenty of guys out there who can do this. I saw a 325 pound guy legitimately throw up 600 pounds once. I think the record is 700+ pounds. Again, 500 is impressive. But not that rare.
