So Stoops is still an option. Might be out of play now. We'll see, but sounds like he may be OU bound and their might be some shake ups there. No shortage of options for this guy. Thats for sure. Do you think Zook is still an option? Or are we going to keep this in house?

Ron Zook is a pretty good recruiter. Why not him?

He might make a quick hire. You'd think Carl would have given him a decent heads up on this two or three weeks ago at least. Being his brother and all. In Carl's presser today at FAU, he said he'd been looking at head coaching jobs for the past 6 weeks, so that puts it around the time we played Minnesota. All the more reason for a quick announcement. It would be nice if Bo would get somebody in time to still help out with recruiting this year. This. A proven DC might help sway some of those on edge.

Who knows...how does any good recruiter recruit well? Probably a mix of a lot of things. Really how do some coach's sell there program better than others. ALA. sucked before Saban showed and USC was down too. So how did they turn it around?

No. He was only there 1 year. You might be thinking of John Blake. He was there 3 years and never had a winning season. Somebody ought to do something about that Blake guy.

Meyer has already hired/retained Fickell as Defensive Coordinator. They would be looking at Stoops as a position assistant. I'm guessing either Bo handles the defense or hires Stoops....and I don't see Stoops taking a position assistant job at OSU over a DC job at Nebraska. This is why I said I thought Stoops comes here before he goes to OSU.

Where's Badgerfan? I'll bet he knows who our next DC is.
