  1. No, biggest game will be in Ann Arbor. A loss there will be the final nail in the coffin. Losing the Northwestern game will intensify the outcry, especially if the defense plays horribly. But if he wins in Ann Arbor, he will win respect. Maybe not a lot, but he will get enough. But if he loses at Ann Arbor, its a done deal. He or someone else is out.
  2. He is talking about winning out in the regular season and making it to the championship game. That was the goal last year, and part of the goal this year. The other half of the goal this year and actually winning the championship game.
  3. We are recruiting top of the line players, we just aren't getting them here. We currently have 6 offers to 5-star recruits and only 1 of them is committed to another team (Virgina). 3 of them are DL guys. We have over 100 offers to 4-star rated players, however only 40 of them have not committed to a team yet and 3 of them are committed to the Huskers. You look back and you will see, we have tried to recruit some of the best high school athletes in the country, but we can never seal the deal. Our last good shot at 5-star recruit was Andrus Peat, but he chose Stanford.
  4. We've known all season that it's easy for teams to run against us when they really prepare for it. Our defensive line doesn't have much push or the get to get off blocks. Even Jerry Kill knows Taylor doesn't have a great throwing motion.
  5. I found his unwillingness to answer the questions about the passing game to be the most troubling. He clearly didn't want to throw his teammates under the bus, but there were some pretty key plays that our WRs frequently make that they didn't make Saturday. Regardless, it wasn't the passing game that let us down Saturday, it was the fact that we went away from the running game. Ameer was gashing that team nearly every carry, but he didn't even get 20 carries. That's crazy. You tell Taylor to run X play, and there's no checking out of it, unless it's to another run. No checking into a passing call, no matter how it looks, unless Beck gives the OK. If he still checks out of it, bench him. We lost that game, in part, because we did not continue to exploit what was working. That's Tim Beck's calling card, and it has to stop. Regarding #5 - it's game seven of the season. They worked on team-building exercises all summer. They brought in some military guys to teach them teamwork, they made the various units sit together during team functions. If these guys don't have team unity at this point they're simply being selfish. Didn't Abdullah get pretty banged up during the game? I haven't seen the game yet, but I remember Matty saying something about how bad Abdullah got dinged and would be surprised to see him return. He obviously did return, but this might be why he wasn't given the rock more? Who thought when Bo was hired we'd have to get into shootouts especially with the likes of Minnesota to win games? I really never saw that coming. I just don't get the defense's inability to stop the run. I did see that and they worked on his ankle. I was very surprised to see him out there and I don't think the question was even asked what happened or how he was feeling.

  7. Yea, let's get this over with. Fire Bo Pelini, start a search for a high class coach who knows how to win only to settle for a mediocre young coach who critics say has a bright future in coaching. Things will be rough at first and folks will say, give him time just like we did for Pelini but he won't do any better than Pelini. Then folks will say well, it doesn't matter about his record, he brings much more to the table than Pelini ever did. Of course after a while folks will get restless and start to blame Eichorst for a lack of hitting the high profile coaches they wanted a while back. Yea, I'm ready for that road.
  8. Maybe we should strap up and take the field as fans. I mean we make up Nebraska don't we?
  9. The NCAA was more lax on players taunting and such back in the 90's. Those days are over. Move along.
  10. So, in other words, Taylor has a broken femur. Funny thing was, Bo said there is a hip pointer and a "hip pointer". Basically it was there is a hip pointer that some guys can play through and there is a hip pointer that takes a few days.
  11. We didn't have crappy line play in the past 3 games, with the exception of Purdue, but to their credit they blitzed every down. But we have in the past called out the crappy offensive line when Cotton was coaching them, not Garrison.
  12. I think we are gonna see new guys on the defensive line. At least that is where we need to see new guys play. I have seen lots of rotation at the LB spots all year. So I don't see how bringing new guys to the LB spots will be any different from the start of the year.
  13. So do you think that Bo and his staff either 1) don't pay attention at practice or 2) are too incompetent to see when a player is hurt in practice? 3) Taylor in practice is a lot different than in game Taylor. Can't be hit in practice. They slowly bring him up to speed. Maybe some days he is better than others? I know some days his ankles feel fine and others they feel like he is being stung every time he takes a step and plants. Contrary to what you believe, it isn't all about failures on the head coach. Players have failures as well. My issue is, a 5th year senior shouldn't have the failures of a RSFr. Your sources tell you that? The same sources that said the coaches are too incompetent to see Taylor was hurt when they could.
  14. So do you think that Bo and his staff either 1) don't pay attention at practice or 2) are too incompetent to see when a player is hurt in practice? I think they invested a level of trust in him. It didn't pay off. where have you all been? haven't we seen Bo play a hobbled Taylor over the past 2 seasons?...this was a conscious decision on Pelini's behalf.....he has no trust in his backup qbs......ever. He played Cody Green instead of a hobbled Taylor, and unfortunately the fumble machine backup was benched. And Zac Lee didn't bring the type of the running game that we usually do. Plus this was also around the time that we only had Roy Helu who had a sore shoulder, and Rex had a broken foot.
  15. No, he said tries to take emotion out of it and look at it in a black and white mind frame. Tends to want to be alone to think on solutions to the problem.

  17. huh??????? What question? I missed it...... Something about how he handles it at home, that's just pointless. Yea someone asked him, how he deals with the losses at home. Bo talked a little about his kids and wife, he didn't seem comfortable talking about it. I understand that.
