  1. Yeah. A lot of NU fans despise Gabbert. For obvious reasons. But the kid is incredibly talented. That's why we recruited him.
  2. exactly. and don't forget the most important returning starter... BOSEPH. first, he has improved the team every year. second, our defense, which is what wins championships, will always be solid. third, it's been a hot summer, have an ice-cold, big glass of :koolaid2: :koolaid2: Oh yeah!
  3. Me too. NU/UT may be the most likely game of the season to get Gameday.
  4. Jeez I leave for a couple hours and this thread turns into chaos I will agree that me and you were have a very civil conversation and I don't think either of use got heated. I was just defending McNeil thats all. I didn't intend to make McNeil look like a stud, just pointing out that he could be a threat in our passing game. BTW McNeil only had one catch for 25 yards a freshman so thats a huge improvement during his sophmore year. I just figured he'd have stellar year his junior but wasn't utilized correctly....it almost seems like Watson forgot he was still on the team in 09'. I don't mind Fro being posting here and I even decided to make him a Mizzou sig because I like the guy. Love Love Respect buddy. and i like you too... Okay guys. That's about enough of that.
  5. The 8-10 range is reasonable. Our D will be on par with last year. And our offense will certainly be better. What would our record have been if we had, say, the 50th ranked offense in the nation last year?
  6. An extension??! Mike Bohn should guarantee Hawkins that he will get an extension. To go along with those guaranteed 10 wins from last year. Ha ha! What a tool.
  7. Too bad. I was looking forward to seeing Washington... ...get stuffed into the backfield by Crick.
  8. That's awesome. I've always wanted to go to a game in Ann Arbor. It's one of six or seven stadiums that would be on my bucket list.
  9. Like I said. We won the UT game in the regulation 60 minutes. Some would debate whether this is true. Sure we lose Suh, and Barry Turner too. But with everyone else back, a healthy Terrence Moore, Cam Meredith and Steinkuhler emerging, and a couple guys coming off redshirt. We are gonna have a GOOD D-line. Maybe great. Do you think our D-line will be weak this year? Our offense. Who can tell? We sucked last year. Until the very end, that is. But I think you’ll see a world of difference this year now that the walking wounded have healed. That is, if we can avoid any further fall camp attrition. Naw. You and your boy Hart are a half dozen spots too low. I’d say 8 to 10 is perfectly legit for NU. I think this “NUBrasGirls” fan will go with the 42 of 60 voters who had us in the top ten. I don't even know what you are talking about. Have you been drinking? It’s only 10:00am. Finally. Something we agree on. I’d say the 30 range is about where I’d peg MU. Oh come on. You are just as much of a homer for Mizzou as most people on this board are for NU. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. But you are certainly not an unbiased observer. And neither am I.
  10. First, I agree with Knap that I don't want to see Michigan/OSU broken up. It's one of the two or three top rivalries in college football. But I disagree about the geography of Penn State/NU being bad. Sure, it's great if *most* of our games are close by. But there is a huge NU fanbase back east that would love this game. Quite a few just in Washington D.C. alone. Also a lot in Ohio, which is within a day's drive of Happy Valley. The Penn State game would satisfy their demand for NU games. ALso, I think playing in Pennsylvania would help out our east coast recruiting a LOT.
  11. I’m waiting by the phone for Delany to call me. This is what I am going to tell him. Nebraska Penn State Iowa Wisconsin Minnesota Purdue Ohio State Michigan Michigan State Illinois Northwestern Indiana Fairly balanced, and keeps quite a few rivalries intact: tOSU/Michigan; Mich/Mich State; Iowa/Wisc; Wisc/Minn
  12. yes here is a huffingtonpost.com article about him on Jimmy Kimmel. If anyone is interested he also ran for the house of rep. In the gov. race he recieved 1% of the vote and did not win the primary. In the house primary he won 0.5% of the vote also not enough to edge the "mainstream" canidates Link Oh Basil Marceaux was on the republican primary ballot all right. His campaign may seem like a joke, but remember. This is Tennessee.
  13. Would also explain why Georgia Tech is ranked higher than us too. Personally I don't think we should be in the top 10 just yet but there is no way that Georgia Tech should be ranked higher than us. I do believe that we are a TOP 15 team though and I want this 2010 Husker team to prove a lot of critics wrong this year. GO BIG RED you do know that GT was 11-3 and played in a BCS bowl game last year right? I believe they return 14 or 15 starters including their QB. Its not unreal for someone to have them ranked above NE, especially since we are in agreement that NE starting ranked as high as they are isnt necessarily correct. In fact I am with you on the top 15. I think the fair ranking is in the 14-16 range. And at that range I can understand and see why GT would/could be ranked ahead of NE. Oh come one. NU clearly deserves to be preseason top 10. Last year's team beat UT, the team that played for the MNC. Well, we beat them in the regulation 60 minutes anyway. And we didn't lose much to graduation that can't be replaced. Sure, Suh is gone. But I don't think our D-line will be a weak link. I realize you Mizzou Tigurls stick together. But Hart's votes are clearly out of control. That's why he got the boot from the AP voting. I'm curious. Do you agree with Hart that Mizzou deserves to be in the top 20 right now?
  14. Tressel has more pull than anyone else whos ever wore a sweatervest. Mr. Rogers would’ve ripped out Tressel’s eyes and skull-fukced him to death. He was a bad mofo. The two sentences above are about as likely as Clarett ever taking the field in a Nighthawks uniform.
  15. Only one other team on that top 20 list with fewer recruits than NU--and that's USC at #11. Lookin good!
  16. link Good bye Tom Hart. I hardly knew ya. btw, Hart used to be teamed up with Trev once in a while covering games for CBS.
  17. I agree with your premise (But let's wait until these players have actually played before deciding) but not your example (Chris Williams). Chris Williams' departure had a lot to do with his blown knee. Pelini didn't whiff on recruiting Chris Williams. Oh yeah, nice topic EZ.
  18. But Hart loves Mizzou, ranking them higher (#21) than all but two other AP voters.
  19. I never thought I would see the words "Pelini" and "taciturn" both in the same sentence.
  20. There's five finely tuned athletes right there. These guys could play a couple of different positions on most D1 teams.
  21. July 24? Hmmm. That was right around the time Bernie Madoff began serving his 150 year prison term... (I am hoping he is in the band. And not the jailhouse.)
  22. This would be a great idea, however I think it is called Greyhound.... These recruits are 16/17/18 years old. I don't think they would be able to enjoy a "party bus". Now if we would fly into their Friday night games with a "red" helicopter and pick them up at the "fifty yard line" after the game to fly them to Lincoln... Offutt Air Force Base isn't that far away.... A gigantic red blimp would be more noticeable. Ha ha!
  23. If T-Mart starts, it's going to mean a lot of film room time for DCs around the Big 12. Our offense would take on a whole new look.
  24. Says 237 lbs further down in the article, 22 lbs heavier than last year. Plenty big to get that extra yard when we need it.
