  1. 34 reps at 185 and 4.28 shuttle the kid is built
  2. officially opened back up his recruitment. not a big surprise
  3. New Article about his play from last week. "It’s a great honor to be a part of what’s going on here with Scotty and Bud [sasser] and [ismail Evans] and all the guys.”
  4. they have him on Darius Torrell, UT commit, he seems to be standing his ground.
  5. Athlete Dietrich Riley (La Canada, Calif./ St. Francis) picked up a big offer out of the ACC and is hopeful one of his top schools out of Big 10 country could be offering shortly as well. Riley is already holding offers from just about every top school out West and he's starting to draw more and more interest from outside the region as well. "Florida State just offered me Sunday," Riley said. "It was kind of unexpected because I hadn't heard a lot from them but I'm definitely interested and wanted to take a trip out there. I know Florida State used to be one of the top teams in the country but they have struggled lately. They need some speed and I think I could bring that to them." Riley has yet to set up any of his official visits, but if one of his favorites out of the Midwest offers, he'll start the trip process soon after. "I'm waiting on Ohio State." Riley said. "They're really high on my list and I heard they could be close to offering. If they offer, I'm definitely going to visit there and that's when I'll start to set up my other trips too so right now, I'm just being patient and waiting things out." In the meantime, Riley plans to check out fall practices for both USC and UCLA in the coming weeks. "I'm going to UCLA this Sunday," Riley said. "I like coach [Rick] Neuheisel a lot and I really think UCLA is on the rise. Just give them a few years and they're going to be good. USC is already a big-time program and I've been up there several times already. "I camped with them this summer and really enjoyed working with the coaches. Hopefully I'll get my visits set up by the end of the summer and then take some visits during the season." Link
  6. Ego Ferguson Journal Entry #1 August 10th, 2009 My name is Ego Ferguson Jr., I come from a small town called Mims located in Florida. We did not have the best role models, and I didn’t have the chance to play football until I moved to Maryland where I played my 1st year of organized football in 9th grade at Saint Johns Catholic Prep. The summer of my sophomore year is when I realized that it was time for me to step up and do what ever it took to help my team win. In this process, I worked my way to becoming one of the top ranked players in my area. Junior year is the year I established my self in the nation not just my area. It wasn’t easy at all my father and I drove countless hours to Baltimore and DC to work with in my opinion the best trainers in the state. Not only did my trainers help me get ready for my high school season, but they also prepared me for the camps I attended. By attending these it helped to establish me as a football player and put my name out there. The camps helped me bring in a lot of offers; I now have 52 division one offers from schools all around the country. A couple schools in particular are California, Vanderbilt, Florida State, South Carolina, UCLA, USC, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Nebraska, Maryland, Miami, Oklahoma, Penn State, LSU, and Tennessee. It's such a privilege to have all these schools recruiting me, but the decision is definitely going to be tough for me. This year, I made the decision to transfer from Saint Johns to Hargrave military academy. It was a hard decision to make, but I believe that Hargrave will help me reach my goals in life. At Hargrave, I will be playing on their post graduate as the only senior. I strongly believe that my team has the chance to go undefeated this year. With the coaches and my teammates I believe that it will bring me one step closer to my goals. Without God and my parents none of this would be possible. I realize I am very fortune to be in the position I’m in right now. This is an opportunity I don’t want to take advantage of it and I’m going do everything in my power to reach my goals. From, Ego Ferguson Jr. Link
  7. 79 per ESPN Kouandjio is a very solid offensive lineman that could play guard or tackle. He has great size and good mobility for such a big man. Comes out of his stance with good pad level for a tall player and plays with good leverage throughout the play. Leads with the hands and stones the defensive lineman across with the initial punch. Legs continue to drive after making contact and works on to sustain the block. A very proficient reach and zone blocker; keeps shoulders square and works upfield to the next level picking up scraping linebackers. Reliable getting movement in short yardage situations; really lowers the pads and drives the legs. Very fundamentally sound double team blocker that gets good movement at the point of attack driving defensive lineman to the second level. Very alert to inside stunts and blitzes and displays the ability come off the combo block to pick up the game. Technically sound pass protector but would like to see him kick step deeper and anchor down. Does a good job of stopping the initial charge of the pass rusher with strong hands and large wing span. Possesses athleticism as an offensive lineman; foot agility and quickness. Kouandjio is a very good offensive lineman that has the talent and toughness to take his skills to the next level.
  8. Will Hampton drops Stanford, now considering Notre Dame, Northwestern Cypress Creek (Houston) defensive tackle Will Hampton has decommitted from Stanford, ESPN affiliate Web site IrishSportsDaily.com reports. "From here, I just continue my recruiting process with Notre Dame and Northwestern, those are my final two schools. Right now, I'm leaning towards Notre Dame, and hopefully they'll offer me." Nebraska, Baylor, Texas Tech, Wake Forest, Colorado, Iowa State, Duke, Colorado State and TCU have also offered Hampton.
  9. even though suh is star to us, most people still don't know his name. he hasn't reached glenn dorsey's level of hype yet, but will probably get that level once people can see him on tv. isn't rice called the harvard of the south? if academics are his thing then nu has very little chance vs those type of institutions. simek was out of the blue and i don't know what kool-aid he was drinking, bolton i don't know whether we were ever that high on him. terry had family ties to ku. i don't think we were recruiting gilliam that hard and lucas vincent i don't even know his story. but based on what i have heard calhoun has been our #1 OL recruit on the board, and we still have a chance with him. i don't know who is our #1 guy for lb and dt, but i strongly doubt it was gilliam or lucas (i want to say that fehoko is our #1 lb recruit because bo is supposedly recruiting him personally). we have missed out on some guys but that comes with recruiting, even lsu, usc, and uf miss out on some guys they want. i will agree though it seems as though everyone else has sped up their recruitment. usc and uf usually have a small class buy this time in the year. but i still believe that it is a long time until signing day and i would assume that many of our top prospects are still on the board for us.
  10. i think we are in on some difference makers, and that we are going to get some commits as the season goes on, but there have been a few things working against us. 1)most of the kids we are recruitting are not from the midwest and money is tight for a lot of families. most prospects/high ranking recruits probably want to see the place they are committing to before they commit. i would imagine an unofficial trip to lincoln would cost well over $500, an official is a free trip. 2)nebraska over the past years has not had a good showing on national tv, and for the most part are not apart of any national discussion. 3)academically NU cannot compare with stanford, and stanford beat USC 4)NU needs a player with national attention. i strongly doubt that bo is trying to screw up is first head coaching gig, and he has proven the past two years that he can recruit with some of the best of them.
  11. people just have a lot of angst because they feel as though the recruiting gods aren't on our side. if he committed and we had more commits i think the hostility would be more mild. but by the same token a recruit cannot be judged on measurables alone. however, i think what evans does bring to the table is passion for a team and mental ability to pick up the system, which is far more important than his measureables (i.e. thenarse buried on the depth chart and o'hanlon excelling)
  12. AUGUST 7, 2009. PREP STAR BEAU ALLEN, DT, 6-2, 300, 5.0, MINNETONKA, MINNESOTA "I have about twelve offers and I will narrow it down by September. I like schools like Miami, Wisconsin, Stanford, Notre Dame, Nebraska, UCLA those schools I definitely like." Allen said Notre Dame Football Network "I liked Notre Dame junior days a lot. They didn't have the defensive line coach there but I did really well. I like the history and the football they have there. I liked the coaches a lot when I was there and how marketable Notre Dame is. They televise all their games, that's cool" Allen said Freshman Offer "I liked Minnesota Junior Days," says Allen," I felt comfortable there with the coaching staff and that's important to me. Minnesota offered me when I was a freshman, so I had a lot of experience with them. I went to a couple of games last year for recruiting. I'm looking forward going this season to see how the Golphers play in their new stadium. I'm excited for that." "I went to Junior Days at Nebraska it went really well," Allen said, "I met the coaches I got to know them a little bit. I talked to Coach Carl Pelini, J P (Papuchis) and Barney Cotton when I was there. Carl is a good guy he's really cool." Oh, Those Fans "I really like the football facilities at Nebraska and the stadium and I'm also a big fan of the fans. I haven't made any travel plans yet for the fall but they (Nebraska) are definitely in consideration." Allen added "I like the history at UCLA. It's a California school they have a good program and I like the coaches there." Allen said "I've been to Wisconsin last year for a game when they played Minnesota. I feel really good with their (Wisconsin) coaching staff. I like Camp Randall a lot and I like how Wisconsin is set up academically." Allen said "I haven't decided if I want to stay in the Big 10 or not I will atke all five visits. All schools are equal." Allen said Link
  13. don't we play tennessee soon? either way kiffin is going to get lit up this year.
  14. Yea, I wouldn't be surprise if UF tried to put a 100 on them. Not to mention the play GA, BAMA and USC back to back. They are going to get beat up, and expect some rumbles after the year for kiffin's head. In order to be as cocky as he is he must back it up.
  15. I know he is talented, but there haven't been good things said about his character. I guess it shows that kiffin will take anyone. hey, now... no dissin' on the kids who don't commit to big red. the young man has made his decision: wish him well, hope that he makes the most of his college experience and let that be the end of it. I'm not trying to diss to markeith and i apologize if you got that impression. My main concern is with kiffin's agenda. tenn could be in a lot of trouble by the time kiffen gets fired, he might be the neuhisal for them. tenn and kiffin are going to be in a world of hurt when they play UF. He is getting ridiculous here is a short article about him buying a billboard in Florida saying they are back. He maybe more hated in the SEC now than Spurrier. You must admit you have chuckle at him.
  16. On the gator/lsu boards they are reporting that UF is no longer in the picture. According to them he did not enjoy his visit at friday night lights, and the coaches were less than pleased.
  17. still be weary if ND offers, because if they do he may commit on the spot. luckily for us he probably won't get that offer, because of their number crunch
  18. Being reported that he is going to visit ND this week, but they don't have an offer for him. I don't know what ND has over these kids to make them line up for a team that recently underperforms, but to each their own.
  19. Per rivals he is going to choose between texas and ou soon
  20. He spoke with the Avalanche-Journal about his decision, "I really liked it, and I like coach (Mike) Leach a lot. He's a heck of a coach. Their coaching staff is probably one of the top, if not the top, in the nation. I just like everything about Texas Tech." n/o to him but there is no way in the world that ttech is one of the top or the top coaching staff in the country Link
  21. He's #8. Highlights start at 1:30. He maybe better suited for DB, maybe a nickleback. Does not appear to be the most sudden, but is a long strider. Makes up more ground than appears to meet the eye. Video
  22. being reported on ND websites that they did not make his top five. according to them his top five are Michigan, Stanford, Boston College, Pitt & Nebraska (in no particular order).
  23. I believe we have a pretty good chance with him. He have one his cousins already on campus, recruiting another, and if anything I would not doubt Mobley is a silent commit already (based on his and his uncle's statements from previous articles) or atleast an extremely heavy lean. Not to mention we have a need at WR.
  24. looks like he is going to junior college, don't know how this ways on his greyshirt offer
  25. according to the irish boards he has no chance now, but they might string him along just in case. edit: some are now saying that he may have a chance is Justin Utupo is moved to DT.
