  1. Coach O would be a fantastic pickup...seems his teams thought very highly of him and by all accounts is a world class recruiter...something we could certainly use
  2. thanks for sharing your story and the insite...it is making me feel better about the whole situation!
  3. hopefully the clapping is gone for good (never could understand why we did that...makes it way too easy for the D line to get off the ball quickly). Seems like Riley adapts to his personell...a novel concept for sure
  4. Agreed. I have family in Albany and been to a game in Corvallis (long time ago, but still)...the facilties were quite meager...the stadium not much more than a large Texas high school stadium...and it is nigh impossible to keep up with the free loving liberals at Eugene (Nike money has made it into a monster). Eugene is a very cool place...if the Ducks and Beavers both offered a kid out of school, it is a no brainer as to where he is going
  5. This will be interesting to see who he brings on. At least he appears smart enough to surround himself with high quality people and not have a big head about being the HC
  6. while I agree with the OP, I think we need to give Riley a chance and support the Huskers. The hire is not what I would have seen coming (like that means anything!), as I would have gladly welcomed the risks associated with Frost as HC (with veteran coordinators). This hire is all on SE...if it doesnt work out, we will be in the same boat in a few years..time will tell
  7. Keep Kaz and Warren maybe..the rest can go. I really like Brown, but this might be his last hurra?? Not impressed whatsoever with the lack of O line development under Cotton/Garrison over the years. I would take Frost as OC in a heartbeat...frankly, I think he will be a HC sooner rather than later and I would love to see a blend of Husker power (back in the day) and the current Oregon offense...rather have that at DONU than at some other school!
  8. Sad to see Bo go, but it was time as the mood doesnt seem right at DONU. At first I was underwhelmed with the Riley announcement, but the more I read up on him, the better it sounds. That being said, I don't like that we were interested in BB and he turned us down (if that is indeed true). Time to support the new coach and staff and hopefully get this thing turned around!
  9. I am sorry to see him go, but obviously Pelini thought it was the right thing to do, so who am I (or anyone else for that matter) to question the HC's judgement? I do believe it sends yet another message to the players and I believe it does shine a good light on the Huskers (ie there is a right and a wrong way to conduct yourself at UNL). Time for Rex or someone else to step up....and in all honesty, the O line needs to take control this year.....it dont matter who we have back there if the O line gets blown up.
