  1. I feel the same way about KU & OU, but we blew that when we handed the conference over to Texas. If the old Big 8 wasn't dead before, it sure is now.
  2. Translation: Per our non-disclosure clause with the Big Ten at the moment, we are not able to speak on this just yet. "Until the Big 10 Conference makes and announces its decision on expansion" You don't have to read too deeply into that to see that NU apparently has already accepted the offer. She all but said that it's now up to them to make the decision(official announcement). I don't think it gets much more final than that.
  3. When you go that high, you know that you're going to a really bad team. Kinda sucks getting shipped to a really bad team in hell. Good Luck Suh. Hopefully you get out of there before too long.
  4. No, the biggest question is whether the (soon to be) Underwater Football League goes belly up this year or next. This whole "semi pro" concept is as dead as Michael Jackson and has been for years, but some people just don't get it. I had to cringe at all of the suggested names besides the Omaha Steaks, which is borderline brilliant-especially considering how much OS would have to cough up to pull it off.
  5. Everyone knows who #1 will be, but since the team/game/record wins/etc will be huge news, being #2 would be huge for the program-not to mention if they did something that remotely resembled putting a scare in UC. It's too bad that NU had the dream team the same year the UC had the team of the century.
  6. Did anyone see that beatdown that UConn put on Iowa State?
  7. If they tried, I honestly think that they could put up 120+ on all but about 5 teams in the country. Just put them in the WNBA and get it over with.
  8. UCLA is guaranteed to be in foul trouble in the 2nd half.
  9. That was filthy. Throw the ghetto trash out for the season.
  10. IF Suh were to make it that far(no way in hell that it happens), Al Davis, being the senile inbred moron that he is, would probably pass him up.
  11. Wow, they got dicked with ND getting the #2 seed in KC.
  12. You are at HuskerMax.com As most of the Husker Internet community is aware by now, David Max and Joe Hudson are involved in a legal dispute over the ownership of the domain name HuskerPedia.com and the copyright of the content put there by Joe and David since 1999. This dispute was initiated when David Max was terminated as an officer and board member in Information Superbrand, Inc., SportsPedia, Inc., and TravelPedia, Inc. by Eric Park and the Information Superbrand board of directors, David J. Homsey and Randy Selin. Since that time Eric Park and Tal Golan (ISI CEO since Dec. 17, 2009) have made public statements regarding this dispute that are inaccurate. The latest attempt by Eric Park and Tal Golan was to file a copyright infringement claim with the HuskerMax hosting provider GoDaddy. GoDaddy responded to that request by suspending our server account with them earlier today. Below is a single statement made by Tal Golan that is inaccurate and we will be pursuing legal remedies to get these issues resolved. Tal Golan wrote: "ISI has always been the owner of HuskerPedia.com, also a fact that I hope no one actually questions. This, too, is easy to prove. No need to take my word." This document proves otherwise. This document signed by Eric Park and Dave Homsey offers further proof to the contrary. Note the "except Huskerpedia" statement in the document. In spite of this and other documentation that show that there is in fact an issue of ownership of the HuskerPedia domain name and the content created by Joe Hudson and myself (along with other writers) since 1995. Eric Park, Tal Golan and the other officers of Information Superbrand are attempting to take that from Joe, myself, and the other contributors including the designer of the HuskerPedia logo. Their latest attempt was to file a copyright complaint with GoDaddy on March 11th. GoDaddy honored their unilateral complaint without any documentation and suspended our server account with us this morning (3/15/2010). We are in the process of complying with GoDaddy's request to remove all content in question from their server at this time. Currently we are waiting on a response from GoDaddy (3 PM PST 3/15/2010). Copy of letter from Tal Golan to GoDaddy. I apologize for the inconvenience that this dispute has caused the Husker fan base that has benefited from the thousands of hours that Joe and I have dedicated to the development of HuskerPedia and can assure you that I will do everything within the legal system to regain the intellectual property that Joe and I have created for the past decade and one half. We will have the fresh links created by Joe Hudson, David Max and Aaron Westerfield since the dispute started in the very near future. Thank you for your patience while Joe and I get this issue resolved. We appreciate the support that we have received so far and hope to receive in the future. David Max
  13. They aren't going to beat anyone shooting 30%. Bad time of year to go into a shooting funk-this looks like a smelly extension of yesterday's shooting.
  14. That mag is always good for a laugh(but I'm sure it just offends the chit out of a ton of people). Their "office" has to be a bar or a room that resembles a bar, and they have some funny writers. Alcoholism is not a disease, it's a goal
  15. I wish I kept the link to where I read it, but apparently these morons do have a tendency to end up with a lot of slashed tires. Gee, that's really too bad
  16. It's called women's sports, and you might as well get used to it because it's not going to change.
  17. They're going to be here in about a week. I should probably lock myself up the night that they are in town (but there is a pretty good counter protest building)
  18. Is Yori coaching the team today?
  19. "The New Era Pinstripe Bowl will pit the Big East team with the third-best conference record against the Big 12 team with the sixth-best conference mark after excluding the conferences' respective BCS teams from consideration." So the Big 12 #7 team, or #8 if we get two in tbe BCS?
  20. Don't be so sure about that..... Justices to Hear Case of Protest at Marine Funeral By ADAM LIPTAK Published: March 8, 2010 WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to decide whether the father of a Marine killed in Iraq may sue protesters who picketed his son’s funeral with signs that read “God Hates You” and “Thank God for Dead Soldiers.” A federal appeals court dismissed the suit on First Amendment grounds and threw out a $5 million award against the protesters, who are members of Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., and maintain that God hates homosexuality and that the death of soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan is God’s way of punishing the United States for its tolerance of it. The fallen Marine was Lance Cpl. Matthew A. Snyder, and his funeral was held in Westminster, Md., in 2006. His father, Albert Snyder, testified at trial in 2007 that the protests continued to haunt and disturb him. “For the rest of my life,” Mr. Snyder said, “I will remember what they did to me, and it has tarnished the memory of my son’s last hour on earth.” He added that he became angry and tearful when he thought about the protest and that the memory of it had caused him to vomit. The protesters complied with local laws and instructions from the police about keeping their distance. They did not know the Snyders, and they had staged similar protests at other military funerals. Mr. Snyder’s central claim is that the protesters intentionally inflicted emotional distress on him. In 1988, the Supreme Court ruled that the First Amendment barred the Rev. Jerry Falwell from suing Hustler Magazine for intentional infliction of emotional distress. Hustler had published a parody of an advertisement suggesting that Mr. Falwell had incestuous sex in an outhouse. (Coincidentally, Mr. Falwell expressed views not wholly different from those of the funeral protesters, saying that the nation’s attitudes toward homosexuality and abortion had played a role in the Sept. 11 attacks.) Mr. Snyder contends that the Hustler decision should not apply to suits brought by one private person against another. In libel and other cases, the Supreme Court has limited the First Amendment protection afforded to purely private speech. A three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, in Richmond, Va., unanimously ruled against Mr. Snyder, though the judges split 2-to-1 over the rationale. The majority said the messages on the protesters’ signs were protected under the First Amendment because they addressed matters of general interest. “As utterly distasteful as these signs are,” Judge Robert B. King wrote for the majority, “they involve matters of public concern, including the issues of homosexuals in the military, the sex-abuse scandal within the Catholic Church, and the political and moral conduct of the United States and its citizens.” The Supreme Court will consider the case, Snyder v. Phelps, No. 09-751, in the fall.
