  1. I saw that too. I immediately raised my hand in the air with a vicious fist pump.
  2. Depends on his career after Nebraska. When you say best player to "come out of", a lot depends on what happens after he comes out of Nebraska. aka... it's to early to tell. If he leads us to a BCS game, there is a fantastic chance that he could be considered one of the best yes. Follow it up with a long successful career in the NFL and I think he would be.
  3. I'm 99 percent sure this is rigged. I think they claim that this actually gives a fan voted player a bid, but I know that Suh has had more than 86 votes. I think they just put Teboe on top because they know that he's going to get invited in the end anyway. All just an elaborate way to advertise for Nissan
  4. I posted on the Tiger's Den to see if somebody can pull it off for us. Cross your fingers.
  5. Thank you, and welcome to the board!!! Now go beat up on BC, you will have Husker Nation cheering for you. If you get tired of the crappy ACC, you wanna trade places with Colorado so we can have the pleasure of competing with you guys more often? lol just a thought, good luck on the rest of the season!
  6. Thanks for the support! We needed all we could get to muster out a win. I almost feel like VT and Neb have become allies, trying to topple the rest of the top 25. I wish you guys all the best, and make sure you stick around the boards, I love hearing from ya!
  7. Helu has the flu, but Pelini didn't want to tell anybody.
  8. I'm up working on things that can't be discussed, but what are you guys doing up so late?
  9. I know that I am bias, but... There are maybe... 4 other players in college football that can dominate and take control of a game like he can. The kid is a superstar, and proves it EVERY week. Not only does he play like a champ on the field, but he is our leader. Did anybody else see him pumping up Zac Lee after struggling for the first 3 quarters? I know that the Heisman actually means best offensive player nowadays... but if I was a voter, he would be in my top five.
  10. There is no way to tell what we will be. There are A LOT of trap games this week. I could possibly see 4-5 teams in front of us losing. We will see.
  11. Where are you getting these uber-badass photos? I smell a new wallpaper... and not for my comp, FOR MY HOUSE!!! GBR
  12. I Just wanted to add to this post that although I am questioning Lee's performance, he did do something a NU QB hasn't done in a long time... Win a BIG game on the road against a good ranked team.
  13. I'm glad Zac got out of there with a win but I have a question that needs to be discussed in order for me to formulate an opinion about the rest of the year. Zac has played SIGNIFICANTLY different between the two road games and the 3 home games. But the two road teams we DRASTICALLY better. So is it the away game, the opposition, or something else? I'm not dogging on Lee here, I like him as a player but he has a lot of growing to do. The kid has heart, and for a team that has trying to find that after the C****** era, I'm proud to have him on the team. GBR
  14. Great game Tiger fans. I'm glad that Gabbert is doing well, and looks like he will be competitive for the next few years. It's annoying that some Husker fans hold it against him that he decomited, he was in a tough spot and I understand. I don't think Mizz outplayed us in the first 3 quarters. I think that we gave them every opportunity to take the game and run with it... they failed. To be fair they did have to run away from our D... which is no easy task. I'm a proud husker fan tonight. But it seems like besides Baylor, ISU, and KST every other game we play this year is going to be a very close matchup (unless Lee steps up his game) Stick around mizzou fans (the classy ones). I allways love to hear other opinions throughout the season.
  15. No question, its A&M when MO P caught a wicked fade route from ZT
  16. Dear lord the battles we go through in life... What would you say the team just before they leave the locker room?
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7p4mioawIA jk, Every bar in town will be playing it so I don't think you'll miss the game.
  18. Check out SI's current top 16 playoff look, pretty interesting. We are a 16 seed. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/foot...poll/index.html The bottom line is that people are not voting for the best teams. Here are my biggest problems with the polls at their current position. 1. USC lost to a TERRIBLE Washington team, and is ranked 7th. 2. Iowa at 12th is ridiculous. They beat a very unimpressive Penn State team, and should have lost to Northern Iowa, a team thats not even in division 1. They also almost dropped on Saturday to Arkansas St. No argument for this team to be higher than 23rd. 3. Auburn jumped to 17th place after being unranked, and beating an unranked and unimpressive Tennessee team. 4. Oklahoma Dropping from 8th to 19th. This is along the same lines as our loss to Vtech. It seems if you barely inch out a win against a higher ranked team you skyrocket, and on the other end of the spectrum you plummet. I think Miami and Oklahoma should be ranked similar. These are my four biggest complaints. These voters are don't understand that if an unranked team beat a ranked team, maybe they just OVERRANKED them. Instead they think that the unranked team that won must be godly and they move them up. (hence Houston, Iowa, Washington) Instead maybe Penn State, USC, and Oklahoma State just aren't as good as they were originally ranked, and neither team should be ranked high. I will not make a case for Nebraska, if we win the games we need to we will find a place in the polls. But that doesn't seem to be the case for many of these other teams. MANY teams apparently can lose games that they shouldn't and still be ranked very highly in the polls.
  19. For paid boards, try PowerMizzou.com. For free boards, Tigerboard.com is easily the best. People that are used to the cookie cutter message board format get thrown by it at first, but it's got definite advantages with the thread format resulting in a more natural debate flow. The only problem is that it's such a busy board posts only last a few hours before they're dead. As with any popular board, there are flamers, trollers and intelligent posters. The impression you make will go a long way toward which kind respond to you. The general feeling on the Tigerboard is that Nebraska presents a serious challenge. Generally it's divided into two camps. A small camp of pessimists thinks we'll lose 4 or 5 games in conference and get a minor bowl. Most people feel like we're more talented than Nebraska based on recent history and will win a competitive game. But I don't think a loss would shock anyone. you are a mod over there and it is a horrible board full of a bunch of MU fans that throw bitch fits if anyone from another team posts! you guys whine if someone has a differing opinion and when you cant find a way to dubunk what they are saying you tell them to suck it! how is that a good board? it is a cesspool! He didn't say it was a good board, just the best free option. You sound like a Mizzou fan lashing out at their competition.
  20. Missouri fans make me sick, they belong on a high school field talking *hit the way they do. I hope that both teams play well, and it is a fun game to watch, but here is my prediction. Missouri fans are VASTLY underestimating the physicality that Nebraska plays with. Vtech admitted that we PUNISHED them in the trenches. Mix that with the fastest team we have had in almost a decade, and i think that the Missouri fans will be feeling pretty miserable come Saturday night, especially considering the trash talk they have been dishing out. MU fans, yes you have punished us the last couple years, nobody here is denying that. But even after our decades of dominance of your program, we kept our heads about ourselves. Show some class.
  21. Southern Miss. Southern Miss. It is true that they always play each other hard, but that does not discredit what Neb. did in Blacksburg. As for you comment out the score being different if they had played in the Orange Bowl, while the score might have been different VT would have still won. They were just more physical than Miami. As for us playing you guys in Lawrence, umm unless ya'll get better or something changes Neb. is going to bring out the big stick and whack away. Please! Miami has played 3 straight ranked opponents. Try playing 3 straight and bring your A game to each one of those games. It's a very difficult thing to do for college kids. For anyone to say Nebraska or anyone else in the North for that matter, is better than Miami is delusional. Miami has more team speed than Nebraska could ever imagine. That goes for KU and everyone else in the North. 2 different levels of competition. You can't just point to one game and proclaim you're better because of that. Could Nebraska go into FSU and win? Could they beat Georgia Tech at home??? Seriously...ask yourself that before you start saying you're better than Miami. As for KU, don't worry about us. Unlike you we took care of business in the non conference. We beat Southern Miss and our defense won the game for us. Southern Miss will likely win Conference USA. They're a good football team and played like it. It was a good win for the Jayhawks.
  22. Can somebody list the websites for the other Big XII message boards? I just want to get a feel for how all the other squads feel about the first couple weeks of ball.
