  1. Despite your protestations to the contrary, you still don't get it. That or you are stubbornly trying to twist this into something that fits with your opinion. I don't care that they are covering Missouri. I don't care that they are covering Gabbert. I don't even think that they are biased against Nebraska. My ONLY complaint is that they are inventing a story line, trying to drum up emotions, hyping something nonexistent, etc. i.e. that Nebraska fans are still upset that Gabbert decommited. It's simply not true and I think that the media should spend more efforts on REAL stories rather than inventing them. Corky, it's you that doesn't get it. NU wins and win like they should - these stories stop. MU continues to win and the stories like this will continue. Get it now? God I hope so. It can't be anymore clear that what I've made it. Childish name calling aside, would you like to make a wager on that? Even if Nebraska beats Missouri every single year that Gabbert plays there, I will bet you that we hear the same "former Nebraska recruit Blaine Gabbert" spiel every year. You seem angry. Maybe you should lie down for awhile. You need to take a shower, a midol , than a long rest. All in that order. Here goes the Shamwow guy.... getting all butthurt over a public message board again. Vincey... don't let your manhood get damaged too much because someone on the internet doesn't agree with you
  2. Yeah, evidentally the Chiefs and Rams don't play in Missouri anymore...
  3. Or when you lose 3/4 of this board will... ...blow up and I will have to restrain myself from logging in. Man can they just play the game already, tomorrow will be a long day...waiting for the 8pm kickoff Thankfully, I have two Cardinals games in between to eat up some of the dead time. Tomorrow is going to be an awesome sports day; Blues home opener is tomorrow, too. I still can't believe the Blues took both games in Sweden from my Wings. I'm still gonna blame it on the Jet lag... The new ownership has done an incredible job rebuilding this Blues team. I don't think they're a cup contender yet, but in a few years, when these youngsters mature a bit, they'll be dangerous. Oh, I would definitely believe that. Going from the laughing stock of the NHL a few years ago to what they are doing last year and appear to be doing at the beginning of this year, they're far from the bottom. Anyway... sorry for derailing the topic

  6. How generous of you. Trust me.....it's the least I can do Did you ever start? The only reason that he thinks he is better than everyone is because he is. Well... at least that's what he tells himself in the mirror every morning.
  7. That could quite possibly be my new wallpaper. SO AWESOME! Good post MUTiger
  8. Exactly. They put 'Swine' in front of flu and people went, "OH NOES, WE GON DIE!!!!" I couldn't agree more. There will be around 30,000 deaths from regular flu this year in the US as opposed to the couple hundred from H1N1. The media can make the American public believe whatever they want. This really isn't a media thing. The situation truly concerns those who study infectious diseases for several reasons: 1. The typical age groups for seasonal flu are the very young, the elderly and those already sick. H1N1 is hitting children and young adults - groups not normally affected. 2. The speed with which it spread. 3. Being a relatively new strain, if it mutates it could be extremely serious. 4. Pregnant women have been especially hard hit. So far, about 500 US deaths, but that number doubled over the summer. And the CDC is still forecasting 30,000 to 90,000 deaths. Not a media thing. I could be wrong on this so correct me if I am.... But the swine flue is H1N1 and is very controllable. They believe that it could easily mutate (although it is looking like it isn't going to now), and the difference between H1N1 and the Bird Flu (which I believe is HAN1? or something like that) is not very much. That's why it is drawing so much concern. They are worried about mutation and spreading that could result in an epidemic like the Spanish Flu in 1918.
  9. mizzery has power? No... That's why he's saying it worries him. Nebraska has the power and Mizzou seems to have an edge at their skill position players in speed and quickness. Doc's a Mizzou fan if you didn't know...
  10. Would much rather have marijuana than crank. And by the way I know about the huge bust of Marijuana and it was on interstate 80 (if you're talking about the same one I am) and was in a truck with plates from Arizona I believe. Drug traffickers going from west coast to east or vice versa have to run through nebraska... don't forget about that one
  11. Missouri people cannot get offended by this. St.Louis missouri has the highest percentage of Meth Labs and Meth Users in the Country. Which means Missouri has one of the highest rates of Meth users in America. According to WCs sources, Boone County had 21 labs seized in 2004. I did a little researched and found a site that actually showed seizures for counties in all states. http://democrats.science.house.gov/Media/F...izures_2004.pdf For those who don't care to look it up Lancaster had 37 seizures that same year. So within the immediate vicinity of the two universities there are 76% more meth labs at NU. This is a real shame, because I was honestly considering going to a Nebraska football game next year. I just don't want to go to that meth infested sh!thole now. That's too bad man, because with all our meth heads running around everywhere... we were hoping you missouri natives could make it up so that us non-users would feel more normal, but now we'll be screwed
  12. Well thanks for clearing that up! I hope Lincoln's cable providers get that soon. I would love to be able to watch a bunch of games at one time!
  13. Yes - it will be on live at 9:00 eastern time on ESPN360. However, unless you're on a college campus, it will cost. And some internet service providers don't allow it (like Time Warner in Lincoln) Yeah, I find that hilarious. They are just NOW finally going to allow it in Omaha through Cox cable. I think it's ridiculous that they provide it free for college campuses but not for everyone. LIke ESPN doesn't make enough friggin' money. I wanted to watch a couple games on 360 the other day and couldn't because Time Warner doesn't allow it... talk about irritating.
  14. Is that the same Furman that passed for 300 yards against Missouri? Is that like giving up 358 yards to Florida Atlantic, one of the Bottom 10 teams in the country according to ESPN? At least "one of the bottom ten teams in the country" is actually FBS division. And that was 358 TOTAL offensive yards. Mizzou gave up over 400 yards to Furman... an FCS team.
  15. And Southern Miss lost BADLY to UAB . . . hmmmmm . . . Two can play that game. Maybe more. Yeah.... I would say that took a little bit away from Kansas' oh so sweet victory over a "strong" southern miss team. Yep... not lookin so strong now.
  16. Repeat after me. Top 6 teams do not put 155 yards up against anyone. Period. Pretty easy. And no, special teams are not as important as offense and defense. If they were, you'd see more than 10 teams in the country with special teams coaches. When was the last time a team fired its special teams coordinators? No, special teams are the difference in close games. Getting your ass handed to you 498 to 155 is what wins and loses games. VT had one special teams play and two big offensive plays for the entire game. That encompasses their entire offensive night. Sorry, but that's not a top 6 team. I don't understand why this argument is so hard for you guys to admit. Why can't you just say what the entire country realizes: that VT is a good team but not top 6? Even the voters feel bad about them ending that high, they just don't know who else to put there, because nobody else is all that good either. If you just admit that, then we can move on and I'll give you mad props for staying with a top 15 or 20 team. So when Va Tech is in the top 10 at the end of the year what will your excuse be? Every team in the country is overrated and the voters just don't know where to put Va Tech or who to put in front of them?
  17. unexperienced hmm i am going to have to add that to my repertoire.
  18. "there is no doubt that VTECH will play in a BCS bowl as far as im concerned, they have been the OU of the ACC for a while now and they are a shoe in for a BCS game! " BTW, being the OU of a conference implies a certain level of excellence beyond winning your conference. Unless you consider Toledo the OU of the MAC as a legit comparison. OU has won 6 conference championships outright this decade, a national championship, and finished in the top 10 7 times and the top 5 five times. VT has won the much weaker ACC twice, no national championships, and finished in the top 10 3 times, and none in the top 5. A level of excellence? Tones down that implication, doesn't it? "Neaux"
  19. Oh dear Lord, please double Suh all night long. He will still push those guys backwards and will leave single blocking from your inexperienced and not so talented offensive line on the rest of our DLine. If you think simply doubling Suh is going to win this game in the trenches, you have another thing coming. Exactly. If MU's O-line doubles Suh...not too worry. Gabbert will get to meet Crick or Turner...face to face. Crick (who does look very good, btw) and Turner have combined for 2 sacks - against the Sun Belt. Mizzou's O-line averages 306 lbs, and no one under 300. They won't be pushed around like the Owls or the Rajun Cajuns. They will be pushed around. Trust me on that. But... I would be willing to place my house on the fact that Mizzou will put Gabbert 7 yards back in the shotgun (like a damn punter) and use quick slants and quick outs to alleviate the pressure. Like they always try to do. Just wait til one of our "slow" defensive backs jumps the route and takes it to the house.
  20. Henery is 8 for 9 attempted FG. 88.9% Missouri's Grant Ressel is 10 for 10. (Also 15/15 xp's) 100% Winner: Ressel. Not bad for the replacement for the most accurate place kicker in NCAA history, Jeff Wolfert. http://stats.nj.com/nfldraft/players.asp?id=136043 Gotta admit though.... that kick against CU last year was an absolute thing of beauty!
  21. Like I've said before.... Bob's a smart guy. The game will be played on the field. So by all means, let's keep arguing about our strengths of schedule and size and speed and all that because if we argue enough, it will change the outcome of the game.
  22. Let's discuss it some more.... Maybe Bo will get on here and read our posts and then decide his methods are wrong and do what we the fans want.
  23. It just tells you the quality of class.... as well as IQ ability that they have gimping around down there in Columbia...
