  1. I wonder if it is even worth my time (aside from gaining the knowledge myself) to post this stuff on there. Stats never tell the whole story but they can give you a generally good indicator of a team's overall performance in certain areas. The Wildcat fans are your typical "live under a rock" fans. They don't care about their team until there is a big game (most, that is). They won't give respect where respect is due because they believe that one good season deems their team the best team of all time, even though they have no National Titles to show for it. I, personally, could give a damn if they had better defenses then us in the 90s.... who has 3 National Titles and who doesn't? Exactly.
  2. Figger? I'll have to remember that one. Nobody said that Dirty Larry wasn't good, it's just that he was a thug and that anyone who didn't realize that was looking through some big red colored glasses. Yeah man... I mean, hitting players after the referee blows a whistle really makes you a thug... So he had a couple of personal foul penalties... Everyone thinks he's a d******d because he jumped up and down after he STUCK that OU player. Which, by the way, was a completely clean hit. He didn't realize the guy was hit, after he did, he stopped. For those of you saying that people that don't realize he is a thug is naiive, you are just the kind of people that buy into everything the commentators say. Because one douchebag commentator decided to bash on Larry for 2 straight games, everyone starts drinkin the haterade. Get off it. He's a good football player and I hope he makes an impact in the NFL.
  3. Actually, it means quite a lot. Because a team that has NO IDENTITY on offense is going to have a very difficult time promising players playing time or telling them what exactly they're going to do isn't it?
  4. As a TEXAS fan, I completely agree with you. I was thinking at the end of the game, that if NU can somehow figure out an offense, they should be very good in the coming years. I feel for you guys. That was a tough loss. Last year when we lost to TT on the very last second, it took a long time to get over. Honestly, I'm not sure I'm over it. You guys played great and deserved a spot in that game. Good luck in the future, just don't get too good. ~v~ Deserved a spot in that game? That seems a little condescending. We deserved to win that game. typical cornhusker--cant take a compliment! must revert to thumbsucking mode---wah wah--we should have won! actually you shouldn't have been there--be thankful for that Don't come on to our forum and start talking trash. You know as well as any other person that watched that game that UT was lucky to escape that game with a W. I'm not whining and bitching about the team being screwed, although, obviously, I thought that Saturday night in my drunken rage. And as for us not deserving to be there... you guys didn't deserve to win, so be thankful for that
  5. No sh#t. Nebraska and UTerus were the first teams in the history of CFB to play a 60:01 REGULATION game. Thanks BCS and BIG XII for boning Nebraska once again.
  6. I just found my new wallpaper. Mccoy's face is absolutely priceless. I laughed finally. There is hope that Husker nation will be okay
  7. THANK YOU! It was definitely a more impressive win for the Huskers. A team that has proven to have no offense, knowing that they have to put the entire game on the shoulders of its defense and pulled out a victory. ALSO, while limiting OU to no touchdowns for the first time in 11 years. Meanwhile, in the Texas-OU game, McCoy had his worst statistical game since he was a freshman and the team that averages 41 points a game only score 16. If anything, the Offense for Texas sucking it up against OUs defense is far less impressive than Nebraskas offense sucking it up against OU.
  8. I know Henery is a weapon, but I see UT blocking one of our punts this weekend. ... one of our 40 punts.
  9. That's a trend in Big XII football this year. I say shakeup the entire league of officials. Fire all the ones you have now and get a whole new crew. This season has been ridiculous all around. I'm not talking about just Husker games. Watching games between other big 12 teams the calls are ridiculous. as well as the no calls. Watching big 12 north vs. big 12 south games, the calls ALWAYS go in favor of the south. now imagine how badly the 'skers are gonna get screwed against Texas... Just sit back and watch... If we don't f#*k ourselves out of that game with our ANEMIC offense. If the game is close at the end, watch for penalties to screw us over....
  10. Defense: NO ONE for quitting on that last f'ing play.
  11. if nu was 10-2 you wouldn't tell people how good they are? I call B.S. I think nu is good at 8-3. I bet you do too. If they were 10-2 you'd be bouncing off the rafters. you can't even spell schedule... and you certainly aren't being honest when talking about iowa's. but just to educate you a LITTLE. Iowa has the 20th toughest strength of schedule in college football. wanna know where NU's is?? here's the link look it up... from the NCAA website: http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/2009/Internet/tou...9games_cumm.pdf and it's cumulative- a big word for it's recalculated each week to include past and future opponents as the games are played out. fbs and fcs means it counts both in the calculation. yup, iowa had to block two consecutive field goal attempts to avoid overtime vs UNI. Let me say that again for the folks who don't know wtf they are talking about.... NOT TO WIN.. but to avoid OT. Iowa was LEADING when they blocked TWO IN A ROW. got it? When was the last time you saw that happen... at ANY level? Two in a frikken row! BTW... That same "lucky" Iowa beat a top 5 Penn St on the road in front of 103,000 fans, michigan st on the road, and a ranked wisconsin on the road. and took ohio state (on the road) to overtime in front of 100,000+ fans with a true freshman qb starting his second game! And even with last year's 4th and 5th string guys at RB, a couple of second string Olinemen, they didn't lose a game until Stanzi went down. they are 10-2 and second in the big ten and waiting for a pretty good bowl. IF they are "lucky" enough to finish in the top 10 NATIONALLY this season, It'll be the fourth time since 2002 that they did it. Iowa stomped a mudhole in the clones a$$. I wish to hell the clones had a team as "lucky" or as good as that one. hate if ya want. but at least know wtf you are talking about. Yeah.... they definitely won the game 16-17 and would have LOST if they hadn't blocked those field goals. Way to mock someone for not knowing "wtf" they are talking about...... when you most certainly seem to.
  12. I dislike the Hawkeyes. Garbage team in a garbage conference. They had to block two field goals in a row to beat an FCS school. That says it all.
  13. Colorado doesn't score more than 7 against our defense, wouldn't be surprised if they don't get more than 3. Mark it.
  14. Knapplc actually makes good points. And when he's using "clever" remarks that make him feel "appreciated", he's usually using those remarks on a thread that deserves a GIANT for even being started... he just lets them know.
  15. I thought it was pretty hilarious. Just goes to show how badly all these fans wish that they were in our shoes and how badly they want their program to be able to post outside its stadium "5-Time National Champions". It must suck to root for a team who's biggest win in school history is beating Nebraska. ....BUUUUUUT I guess they know their place and realize that they will always be just a footnote in the Big 12 north behind dear ol' Nebraska U,
  16. Why shouldn't he praise Matt O'Hanlon? And don't even tell me it's because of the blown coverage at Virginia Tech.... Nobody can deny that O'Hanlon has been playing the position EXACTLY as it's supposed to be played as of late. Not to mention he has what?... 5 interceptions on the season? Not too bad. Sorry if this seems like it's attacking your post, but I get so irritated with the posters that think O'Hanlon sucks because of one mistake in a helluva game. Some people even go as far as to discredit his national player of the week performance against OU by saying it was just Landry Jones sucking (by the way, our defense MAKES QBs suck... they don't just come here and magically suck... #3 pass efficiency defense will do that to a QB). O'Hanlon has become a helluva player for our secondary and a leader... along with Asante.
  17. If you thought that we were going to BLOW KSU out in this game you were being naiive. This was a team that was well coached and was playing with the hopes of not only a big 12 north title, but a postseason AT ALL on the line. I saw a lot of people on a lot of different boards posting that we would win 31-6, 34-10... scores along those lines. What in the hell gave the impression we were capable of scoring that much against a team with a pretty darn good run defense and we had only scored more than 20 in big 12 play one time all year. I called the exact score of this game... so I'm patting myself on the back But for those of you who think that our defense didn't play well in this game, here's something for you: Daniel Thomas 1st Half stats: 10 carries 77 yards 2nd half stats: 9 carries 22 yards... Notice the defense step it up in the second half?? Anyone? And if you actually go back and watch that game... Yeah our defense was giving up yards in the first half and even part of the third quarter... But they completely took over in the fourth. If you watch it, you will see a DOMINANT defensive performance. Also... having a dominant pass defense that we do will play well against Texas. We force quarterbacks to throw the ball away A TON and we break up a TON of passes, mostly at the line of scrimmage. We have the #1 pass efficiency defense.. in case y'all forgot. By the way... I LOVE THE FACT THAT PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY TRYING TO HATE ON OUR DEFENSE AFTER WE GAVE UP 3 POINTS AND JUST WON OUR 4TH STRAIGHT GAME.
