  1. Not a Nebraska fan but man, what a screw job you are getting. Never seen a game "officiated" this bad. This is horrible to watch, just from the perspective of how bad these refs are. I'd say good luck but you can't beat two teams at once.
  2. The Chairman of the Insight bowl committee is KU alum and a personal friend of Bebee. You can figure the rest out. Huskers get the 'don't let the door hit you on the way out' bowl.
  3. Don't know if this has already been posted. I just saw them the first time tonight. Watch this one first: My link This is a follow up: My link
  4. The trophy given to Mizzou was the Lamar Hunt trophy. Has nothing to do with the B12. The drum trophy is between the schools, the trophy Clark Hunt presented is given to the MU/KU winner at Arrowhead. I don't think there is a co-champion trophy, or even a North-South trophy. Just the trophy for winning the conference.
  5. I laughed til tears rolled at this pic. Todd Haley and Josh McDaniel. Perfect! I love Carl there too, about to turn around and see a camera man.
  6. Man. I'm a Mizzou guy and I can't believe the screw job you guys are getting. This is a fix plain and simple.
  7. I have no idea what this means but I love it.
  8. Depends on what outlet you look at too. LV open has actually moved it up. Their books are a -7 OK.
  9. I assume Nebraska does the same as most, if not all programs do and that is to move the team to a local hotel on Friday afternoon and go into lock-down mode. Meetings, dinner, maybe a movie and bed checks. That would obviously prevent anyone being out drinking and developing a hangover.
  10. I played for Mizzou in 83. They weren't just fast and quick but really, really strong. You guys pretty much invented weight training for football up there. Boyd Epely. Our strength coach, at the time, was from Nebraska. Dave Redding, used to play DE up there and was an asst under Epely. I recall getting steam rolled a few times in that game. I was a 'bandit', I just recall thinking at the time, how the hell can those linemen get upfield so damn fast. Those were some bad boys. When they got to you, they weren't about playing around either, they would knock your d!ck in the dirt and do it with malice. I haven't seen that from Nebraska in a long while. Their offense played like your defense does now. Good times.
  11. We (Mizzou and you all) are just circling the drain. Our schedule gets easier, yours gets harder. At least we are done with the South. Some of us have the same concerns you do with our coaching. Will the obvious issues be addressed. At least right now, you have a defense. We don't seem to have either an offense, or a defense. No game left on our schedule is a gimmie. The way your team is playing, I doubt you can be real confident either. It sure seems like no one wants the North this year. take solace in the fact that you have a relatively new staff. We have had Pinkel now for 9 years. I don't think he has a lot more left in the tank. The stars aligned the past two seasons for him. It has become pretty obvious that Chase Daniel was the mastermind behind the offense. It was the exact offense he ran in HS, they let him override plays and call his own. That doesn't bode well for our future. Good luck on getting your problems worked out. I think you are closer than we are.
  12. Yeah, it was released this afternoon. It's Nebraska -18
  13. He's probably thinking what I am. Who goes into a coffee shop with a camera?
  14. I don't hear a lot of people calling for Pinkel's head yet, although there are a few. I'd give him another year and if it didn't improve, or got worse, I would part ways. What sucks is the contract they gave him last season is basiaclly a lifetime deal. Sure, we could get rid of him but would owe him a mint. What sucks even more than that. The four final candidates when Pinkel was hired. Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Terry Bowden and Pinkel. Could have done without Bowden but seriously, Pinkel?
  15. My missouri game experience sucked big time Good. so did mine.
  16. Congrats on the win guys. No excuses from me. We got beat. Gabbert has some serious growing to do, I am very disappointed in him and how he played. The ankle is no excuse. Refs mean nothing. Rain means nothing. If you are a good enough team, you overcome. Yours did. Enjoy it and good luck to you the rest of the way.
  17. I'm sure Pinkel does. I am just saying it is a difference in basic philosphy. Yours is more defensive minded. Pinkel and MU are more like the old Rams/Chiefs under Vermiel. As long as we can score more than our opponents, we win. The emphasis is placed on scoring points and offense. Whereas your team is more of a ball/clock control offense and the main thing is not to let the other team score, defense is king philosphy. I'm not disagreeing with that concept, if it were my team, that would be my way too. This will just show how good our offense is and how good your defense is.
  18. No, he doesn't. Yeah, I bet he does. IF you guys happen to win and win by 1, do you think your coach is going to complain? I seriously doubt it, unless he feels heat from the fans and NU higher ups. Then he may act like they could have done better but in reality, if they could have, they would have. IF you win, just be glad you got it and move on to the next. Bo Pelini hates ONLY ONE thing more than the Dixie Chicks... and thats points scored by opposing offenses... and Bo HATES the Dixie Chicks.... Would he be happy we won? Yes.... would he be Happy we won by one point? NO... Makes sense to me Okay, I gotcha. That is the apparent difference in the two coaches philosophies. Ours is to rack up points and just don't allow the other offense to outscore you. Yours is to play a strong defense and let the offense score enough to win. You can't loose if the other team scores 0. Should be fun.
