  1. And buy a huge box for your HB bretheren? heh but if all of my HB bretheren are in the boxed seats who's gonna make all the crowd noise?
  2. you'd think boone pickens and that kind of money he could have just purchased the whole university of okie st. might be cheaper. tell you what fellas after i win the lottery and take care of business ill drop a zillion dollars on memorial stadium. then im gonna put box seats on the east stadium and put another screen on the south side.
  3. "and still some credibility issues for anyone from the Big 12 North. " that is so weak. but he is also leaving the door open in case we come out on fire next year. nevertheless, didnt the north just prove their credibility in this past bowl season? sure we didnt win them all but our division played their opponents well and fought hard. michigan at number 8? yeah didnt we just beat this team and we return many of the key contributors to that win (except pork chop and our DT's)and they return a lot of key contributors to their loss. And Notre Dame at number 3? you got to be kidding me. their defense is as soft as an old man without viagra. their offense is good but obviously not good enough because ohio state's defense had their way with them. where do these guys get their conclusions? a crackerjack box?
  4. Whatever. When people quit making the rediculous statement that NU = USC - a few players, that everything else is the same, then I will quit with the Palmer article. Cool. I have never said that. All I am saying is they run an offense that is VERY similar to NU's. That's it. just because they are not running the exact same plays doesnt mean the offenses are not similar. both schools use a lot of timing routes and all that jibajaba.
  5. warren buffet probably doesnt like football. if he is going to donate anything it will probably go to creighton's overhyped basketball team(yippie )
  6. OK, I'm curious now. What article are you talking. I'll apologize in advance if, by pure stupidity, I missed the link to the article in which you are referring. But, if it's not here...can you provide it? Thanks BW i believe he was referring to an article on huskersillustrated, rivals nebraska site. if you go there its right in your face cant miss it, unless your not a subscriber.
  7. because we want the elite talent from across the country and we also dont want those elite players to be on the other team. we took most of the elite players from nebraska in this class and we are already working on next year's elite. yeah a lot of kids go to other schools because they want a free ride and not walk-on and pay for school. let iowa and ksu etc etc take our table scraps.
  8. dont let the stars fool you. just watched this guy's film and he has a good film. he hits hard and moves well. a great pickup.
  9. forget to mention that it would be ideal to keep both of these guys. i think major plays safety and maybe see a little time at CB and ricky will go CB.
  10. i wouldnt go that far. ricky is faster than major per statistics on rivals. unless major has progressed and gotten bigger and faster this year. correct me if im wrong.
  11. hagen probably got some advice from his players on which symbols to flash to the gangs. hmm free prostitutes, drugs, rape, theft, perhaps your right. boulder would fit right in. If kids want to play for pretenders that is their prerogative. i just feel bad because it seems another great athlete is slipping through our fingers. next year we will have a HUGE hole in our secondary. we will get some badass DB's next year.
  12. Well if I were one of those gangbangers and i saw some whitey pull up in a rental car clad in nebraska gear i probably wouldnt kill him because he's obviously important and somebody would indubitably notice if said whitey was shot to death. its one thing to gangbang and kill other bangers and such but its a whole new world when you kill somebody important. but then again not all gangbangers are smart so either way its a risk and kudos to Busch for havin the stones to go there anyway.
  13. ive heard it called corn coast offense and i think that is kind of cute for lack of a better word.
  14. didnt leon jackson win the scout team award for his play at WR? maybe if he makes some strides in the offseason he could see action on both sides of the ball. too many possibilities.
  15. we only have 4 conference home games next season. kansas, texas, mizzou, and colorado. we need vengeance on kansas and mizzou. crushing CU is always great. Texas will be a different story im gonna try to get tickets for that game extra early but i plan on going to all the home games next season.
  16. whoever catches the ball with consistency, whoever works the hardest, whoever gets open. April 15th cant come soon enough to find out who wants it the most.
  17. wow this has spread across husker message boards faster than ebola. i dont think he declared its just yahoo gettin caught in a mixup.
  18. this guy has the height and speed to be a solid receiver here. has anybody seen his film? if his hands arent so great i can understand why he might have been passed over in the attention and all that business. But he has good offers from teams that throw the ball. I'm glad we let him hang out with our Huskers from Texas so he could hear firsthand how great our university is. He wants to play in a stadium that holds more than some pro-stadiums, in front of 80+ thousand husker fanatics. There is something special about that...
  19. im actually disappointed that we dont get to face these talented athletes next year. Even though the majority believe we would be murdered by said talent i still would love to see Nebraska win against these guys. Regardless both teams (USC, Texas) are still talented we have one advantage. Zac Taylor. The kid can throw the ball and make plays as he is getting hit. look at the michigan game. Michigan came at him all night and he threw those two interceptions in the 2nd quarter IIRC. The defense really bailed him out too but thats what a great defense will do for you. After he adjusted he threw pretty well in the 2nd half even as he was getting nailed. he did that throughout latter half of the 2005 season. in fact im afraid that if he doesnt get pressured he will mess up Texas and USC will be breaking in new quarterbacks and running backs. dont get me started on USC's defense(nonexistent). Texas' D didnt look that good in the Rose Bowl but they slowed down USC, OSU, and every other Big XII team they faced. With all the talent coming back next year and the new recruits fighting to make an impact i say we have a good chance at doing something special next year. but as always its possible we fall flat on our collective faces. I prefer the former(not you FF).
  20. i dunno if he is a lock but his speed is underrated and he should be a three star at least. this would be a great get at WR.
  21. the way Zac Taylor came on in the latter half of the season i expect those poor offensive statistics to improve in 2006.
  22. Auburn. LSU, Georgia, Florida State, Florida, Miami (FL), Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, USC, Oregon, Cal, UCLA, Notre Dame, Alabama, Virginia Tech, this list could get long so i will stop.
  23. doesnt really matter how it is ranked. sometimes those recruiting services are wrong with their star rankings and such. if you watch the film and look for the awareness and speed you would be surprised on how many 2 star athletes are quicker to the ball than the 3-5 star recruits. its not an overwhelming statistic but i trust in these coaches' judgement on talent.
  24. wow im impressed. i've been in shock since recent news as looked better and better in regards to our chances of landing this kid. i think somewhere along the line i thought this kid was gonna end up in oregon. i was wrong. glad he made the decision to play for NU.
