  1. Of course he's gonna say that he's trying to make it still. I'm telling you the kid didn't miss his flight. He called the coaches on Thursday night asking what time his flight was on Saturday morning. He didn't even know when it was! They told him it was at 6am and then the next time they made contact was at noon on Friday and he said he missed his flight and it was too cold. He didn't actually try to make it after that.
  2. just a little info here... my friend does recruiting tours and said we were trying to get a hold of Stafford all morning and he didn't call back until about noon. he said that he decided not to come because it was too cold. there is no doubt in my mind that this kid is decommitting.
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure this would result in the same situation as two years ago with TT, Texas, and OU. They were all tied so the highest ranked team got in. This year, the highest ranked team would be Oklahoma. Unless they changed it to who won the head to head between the two highest ranked? Even if that were the case, Okie Lite could still be ranked ahead of Texas A&M. They'd have one fewer loss and they would have beat A&M. Quoting my own comment, but here's the tie-breaker. There are more steps before this, but they would all be N/A or tied also, so we get to this step.. The highest ranked team in the first Bowl Championship Series poll following the completion of Big 12 regular season conference play shall be the representative in the Big 12 Championship Game, unless two of the tied teams are ranked within one spot of the other in the BCS poll. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the Big 12 Championship Game. So if Oklahoma beats OSU and A&M beats Texas, A&M would need to pull within one spot in the BCS poll of OU. Most likely, Nebraska, Missouri, and Va Tech would stay between them. A&M making the title game is a huge long shot.

  5. Kevin Kugler = my most respected sports analyst I've ever listened to.
  6. Also teams that suck: South Dakota State, Texas, and Iowa State.
  7. The general idea of this article is right on. Whoever doesn't admit it is just afraid. I'll always root for whoever our starting QB is, but come this off-season I hope Carnes, Turner, or Starling will take over. Not because Bo favors them over Taylor, but because they earned it. I'm just worried that chemistry will be poor with Martinez. But once he is named the starter, I'm still 100% rooting for him.
  8. Bo has finally grown the balls to announce that Cody Green is starting. He's not trying to play tricks on the opposing team. He's not trying to fool them into preparing for Martinez. By announcing this he's showing confidence in Cody and the team, unlike for ISU. We'll be ready to smash them in the mouth come Friday.
  9. Not to rain on your thunder there Bruin, but Crabtree said Adrian Peterson was the only better high school player. He did argue that he's the best high school player in Kansas. As far as Boras, it was announced a while ago that he signed him as an advisor to help Bubba through the process heading into the draft. It is basically saying Boras will be his agant, but he won't sign with him and screw with any of his amateurship. And the chance is sitting at about .0034% realistically. I heard the segment. Crabtree said Adrian Peterson HAD BEEN the best high school player he had seen. He said Starling is better. This is correct. He said Peterson was the best he'd ever seen... until he saw Starling. That's crazy. I'm praying that the 5% chance he comes here actually works out.
  10. So in order from loudest cheers to quietest: Alex Henery Roy Helu Jr. Prince Amukamara Eric Hagg Dejon Gomes Zac Lee Pierre Allen Sr. Adi Kunalic Mike McNeill Niles Paul Rickey Thenarse Keith Williams Ricky Henry DJ Jones Anthony West Will Henry Mike Smith Dreu Young Tyrone Fahie (could be louder if people know his story) Latravis Washington Thomas Grove Joe Broekemeier Adam Watson
  11. i said it at the beginning of the season and at the end of last year....Watson sucks, he just plain sucks. yeah i've been saying it all year. even after washington and k-state i was just like... eh good performance but i'm still not on his boat. any coordinator with this amount of complaints is obviously doing something wrong
  12. Shawn Watson is not the answer. Do we occasionally see offensive production? Yes. When do we have our production? When we hit the big play, and most of them have been running plays. To me, this is more of a testament to the athletes on the field and a little bit of luck due to mispositioned defenders. When do we ever put together a solid scoring drive? We never do. Whenever we put together a drive, it ends up stalling in the red zone for a field goal. We can look at the offense and dissect it and say "Oh we only need to change this or change that. We only need our receivers to catch the ball or Taylor to throw better passes. Our offensive line just needs to be more physical." I'm tired of these excuses. It's been the same $%*# for years now. I don't care how it is accomplished or what the reasons are for it not being accomplished, but this offense needs to be more consistent. Two touchdowns in our last 6 losses??? That isn't top 10 material. We're better than this and we need to expect better than this. I'm praying that there is some stupid Athletic Director out there that is interested in Shawn as a head coach and hopefully he takes Gilmore with him.
  13. Thank you! Dan Beebe is having the week of his life because we are freaking out about everything that he has done to us. Let's get through this season without this program dismantling and get on to the Big Ten and if we're lucky we can bring a Big XII title with us.
  14. NEW RUMOR ALERT! Taylor Martinez saw the new Harry Potter movie earlier today and has announced he will transfer to Hogwarts. They don't call him magic for nothing.
  15. Per Sean Callahan! Corona Centennial High School Coach Matt Logan just called me about the Taylor Martinez rumors... "I just talked to Taylor," Logan said. "He has not quit." So there you have it.
  16. He went to the locker room when he got hurt. That's when he did it.
  17. It's a fact about a rumor. If you have a rivals account then yes you can see the original rumor. If you don't want me to provide my information then so be it I'll stop. I wasn't meaning it as a personal attack. What I am pointing out, is that you mentioned a rumor. You didn't say where it was, who it was, or how you heard it. I'm glad to have the info, but you really didn't provide much in the first post. Could you quote the rumor for those who don't have rivals accounts? Or a link for those who do? "Rumor: T-Magic quit That's what I'm hearing from some friends close to the team, haven't gotten a chance to ask the players themselves. Wouldn't surprise me since he quit once and got his a$$ chewed last night. For the record, he got his a$$ chewed because he was texting in the locker room." _____________________________________________________________ That's what it says on The Main Board at rivals.com
  18. I wouldn't put it past him. As much as I love his production, he has a selfish attitude and has already nearly quit once this summer. He doesn't have many friends on the team so I could definitely see him quitting. I hope he doesn't but it would be nice for somebody with the attitude of Cody or Zac to be the starter. Unfortunately the best player has to be the one with the poor attitude.

  20. No doubt I think it's not true but I figured I'd deliver to you guys what's being said. It was started by a Husker fan on The Main Board and brought up on RSS by another poster.
  21. There is a rumor going around, and I don't know how respected the poster is, that T-Mart has quit the team. I do know for sure that the reason he was being chewed out was because he was texting his dad in the locker room while the trainers were trying to work on him. If it is true that he has quit then I have lost a lot of respect from this young man. My guess is that he may have been thinking/talking about quitting and Bo will talk him out of it (for the second time this year).
  22. its the two penalties that are more mind boggling than the 16. still though, two personal fouls on E-Mart on kickoff? The refs are watching his every move and making bogus flags for whatever he does. two times our team was flagged for DOUBLE personal fouls. 30 yards for Cotton on one play. 15 yards on two "half the distance to the goal" personal fouls. the roughing the passer was an unspeakably horrific call. this reffing crew has reffed three of our games: Texas, ISU, and A&M. we have been flagged 32 times for 293 yards (take out the 16 today and thats 8 per game in the other two which isn't awful). here's the crazy stat. the opponents have combined for 9 flags for 109 yards. are team really that good at being disciplined against us?
