  1. I wouldn't take it for much at all, he's on vacation right now.
  2. Interesting. There is an article about him on our rivals site, but it doesnt show up on any other sites of teams that are recruiting him. Take from it what you will.
  3. I know kids that have went up and played for NW. But for you to say that they "make their living off taking Grey Shirt and Preferred walk-on kids." tells me that they were good players, but not worthy of getting an actual D1 scholarship offer; let alone an offer from a Big 12 school. You kind of just proved my point and disproved what you were trying to say in the first paragraph.
  4. I know what NW is about. I know people that play there. But you saying "They make their living off taking Grey Shirt and Preferred walk-on kids." just proves my point that these kids were obviously not worthy of a D1 scholarship let alone a D1 scholarship to a Big 12 school. You can tell the difference between a HS kid that is being recruited to Big 12 schools, and a kid that is being offered preferred walk-on spots.
  5. This one might turn into a battle.
  6. Don't forget the 1-3 that we seem to get out of Louisiana each year. I think getting 1-3 from Florida a year is a goal of this staff as well. Very true Cave
  7. it would be nice to get one or two a year from OH, but i wouldn't count on much. a lot of good schools in their region to choose from. other than dejuan groce and frank solich, we don't have much history of success there. History has to start somewhere
  8. My gut feeling is that he stays home an plays for Oregon. Sorry...
  9. The word on other boards is that these two contacted Quincy. It wasnt to get him to go to MU as he doesnt hold an MU offer.
  10. I know that you really have to be careful what JUCO credits will transfer from a juco to a university. But if you have a 2 year AA degree the university has to accept your credits. Whether they accept them as what they are or not is up to them, but they have to accept them as at least elective credits. That is why coaches encourage you to get the 2 year degree.
  11. What if we are as banged up as we were this year? What if our top OT is out for the season again next year? Javario Burkes' injury hurt us this year. I just cant see him not taking other things into account either. He isnt just going to look at one, count it, one year of our line being as injured as it was and how average at best it was and dub NU as a school he will not be attending.
  12. He was a wrestler as well in high school. Didnt play basketball. I dont think I am alone in saying that I like a TE that was a basketball player in HS. IMO his height and wrestling background just scream Big Ten LB. i.e. AJ Hawk mold. (not saying he will be that good)
  13. Of course that's what my comment below indicated. All I said was all the talent and promise from those OL recruit need to materialize in to a unit this year. If he doesn't see a capable line this year from kids with game experience why would he put faith in more incoming freshman O-linemen. In order for your opinion to move from dream to reality he will need to see tremendous improvement from the offensive line. If we cant show that we will have a line in place that is improving for his arrival, I just cant see him coming here. You also make it sound like it has no chance of improving. The kids that Barney Cotton has brought in have been some pretty good finds. We are building depth at those positions which is something that we clearly lacked this year. Any time that freshman walk on to campus and are in you two deep rotation on the OL you know you werent deep from the start. Sirles, Qvale, Ash, and Coffey will all help and show promise next year as I expect all of them to see significant playing time. Here is the break down. Two classes above Aaron Green for the OL we have: Sirles-redshirted Qvale-redshirted Ash-redshirted Coffey-redshirted That means that they will all be redshirted Sophs when Aaron is ready to set foot on a college campus. One class above Aaron we have A Rod-should Redshirt by next year Moudy-should also redshirt next year Jake Cotton-who knows he may surprize people and be a guy who can add to our depth That means they will all be RS Freshman in 2011 In Aarons Class Ryne Reeves-committed-will probably be in the top 100 of his class Tyler Moore-committed-will be the top OT in his class (quote from Florida's OL coach) A few of the Prospects we are in on: Westerman-made his top 5 last I knew-he will also make the top 100 of his class Derek Farniok- new guy on the radar from North Dakota- He is 6ft8 300+ lbs. As you can see there is young talent on our line as well as talent that is coming in. Dont worry about the kids that are seniors and juniors right now as they will be gone by the time Aaron Green gets to a college campus. Hopefully ours. This is what I took into account when I made that statement earlier. A lot of people need to start seeing the big picture instead of one year that we were cursed by injury all around our OL.
  14. If we can start pulling one or two out each year then we are in good shape. Whether that will ever happen remains to be seen. Think if we could still grab our Texas kids, mix in some Florida, Cali and Ohio kids we would be in great shape every year talent wise.
  15. Sorry if this was already posted: What I took from this article was that Bo believes that a "TRUE" commit is one that is no longer looking at other schools. So if a kid that calls him that happens to be committed to another school Bo doesnt consider him a commit. There is no hypocrisy in it. He tells them if they still want to shop around dont commit to NU on the spot. It would be easier if a kid waited til all his visits were done and then chose a school. See: Owa
  16. His story is that he was a D2 calibur athlete that went to NW and won a D2 Natl title. Yeah right. I saw what that kid could do, and he was every bit as talented as the QBs NU put on the field this year. I don't care what level he was playing on, good is good. Example: Danny Woodhead The QB from NW was also doing it against D2 talent. Not Big 12 talent. His numbers werent as flattering as Woodhead's. Woodhead flat out killed the d2 talent he saw and was a clear d1 player. The QB from NW was a good D2 player. Not a Big 12 athlete.
  17. I don't believe Pinkle would do such a thing and actually let that getout into the public. Sounds like another rumor over the net, but who knows. If in fact either of these kids actually did this on their own it's pretty slimey as well, and i'd definitely never put it past that douchebag Gabbert Jr. I know that Quincy was contacted by these two and talked to. Whether or not it was Pinkle that orchestraited it we will probably never know for sure.
  18. Yea, Westerman would be a huge piece! I heard that Reeves and Moore were both talking to him to get him N. Can anyone clarify that? If so thats a great sign that they would want to be together. Westerman also traveled to Lincoln for that camp. So obviously there is some interest there on his part. There was an article awhile back that said we had made Westerman's top 5. I know that Moore said that he was going to help recruit both Westerman and Green.
  19. His story is that he was a D2 calibur athlete that went to NW and won a D2 Natl title.
  20. There are reasons that the 2009 OL recruits are said to be able to make early impacts. There is a reason A Rod made the top 100 this year. There is a reason that Reeves probably will make that list in 2011. There is a reason that the coaches from a school called FLORIDA said that Tyler Moore is the top OL recruit in 2011.
  21. With all do respect they will never do that. Rex might be put in the wildcat every once in awhile. But not as a starting QB. Green is a true freshman. How many true freshman walk onto campus and start from day one at QB? Of those true freshman starting QBs how many are complete studs and never show any immaturity???
  22. Braylon Heard Interview on Schick and Nick PodCast Much appreciated Cave
  23. It has been said that NU is the leader for his committment because of his brother Andrew. We also run with a fullback in front of our backs like he likes to do. Not to mention that Aaron has been on campus several times with his family. He was at the Big XII CCG also I believe. Aaron and the Coaches talk quite a bit from what Aaron has said in the past. IN MY OPINION!!!!!!!! DONT ANYONE TAKE THIS OUT OF CONTEXT!!!! But IN MY OPINION I really think that he will be a husker. In order for your opinion to move from dream to reality he will need to see tremendous improves from the offensive line. If we cant show that we will have a line in place of improving for his arrival I cant see him coming here. Im sure the staff doesnt have a glimmer of hope for Sirles, Qvale, Coffey, or Ash. A couple were said to be in that two deep rotation this year. Nor do they think that Moudy, A Rod will help out with overall depth and talent improvement either. Im also sure that Reeves and Moore wont help out with anything either. All of our young OL suck right? Even the ones that we are looking at. Our staff cant recruit OL. Barney sucks, we arent ever going to sign another offensive recruit in the history of our program. The sky is falling. There is not a glimer of hope at all.
  24. He hasnt written off the Longhorns yet but they are the dark horse as of now from what I have read and heard.
  25. I guess he was on 1620 today. Anyone have a link to his interview?
