  1. Thanks for the advice guys. I took your advice and started immediately. I'm chilling out now after a good buzz, eating my McRib meal with the extra for a dollar (hell yea!).....Going to resume the festivities once this food settles a bit. Great game Big Red. Holy snaps we shut them down!
  2. As a Nebraska fan, I would like to welcome MSU to Nebraska. Welcome to THUNDERDOME BITCH! Luck to ya.
  3. Well, these eleven o'clock games happen every once in a while. I got UFC fights to prepare for tonight and a full day of football. What time is suitable for the consumption of alcoholic beverages if I want to keep my literacy til' the fights. What say you? Nebraska better win, or I might not make it to the UFC fights tonight. Diaz gonna beat the piss out of BJob Penn, just like Nebraska offensive line gonna crush MSU d-line.
  4. And cheer as the winners go by
  5. THAT STADIUM BETTER BE f'ing' LOUD TODAY!
  6. Michigan State only allows 88 yards per game on the ground so far this year. Time for a dose of Rex f'ing' Burkhead.
  7. I am assuming that since you started this topic and have commented 10 times on the subject that your first sentence was absolute horsecrap. I mean, it's clear this subject is very important to you yourself. Thus you should fully understand why it is so important to some others?
  8. By the way, you people who think Bulletin Board material is weak and pathetic......Every single Nebraska team in the 90's used different things like this to get pumped. I have tapes of almost every game in the 90's, including the National Championship teams in which some of these comments are referenced. Teams at every level do things like this. No, they don't need it to get get jacked. You strap on the pads and helmet with an "N" on the side, run out to 88 thousand screaming fans and tell me you aren't jacked. Obviously they don't need it, but it brings an extra level of focus and a certain determination. Usually a determination of planting the loudmouth into the dirt repeatedly. I think this game will be a fine example.
  9. Here's a link to the story KingBlank. You seem pretty upset......maybe cool down and read this article and take what you want from it. http://www.freep.com/article/20111026/SPORTS07/110260380/Nebraska-QB-Wind-not-Michigan-State-slowed-Denard-Robinson Fact is though KingBlank, your little nancy pantsy rant there doesn't change the fact that clearly the Michigan State defensive lineman took it as a bit of an insult. So your point really has no bearing here at all. Like the OP says, the comment added a bit of fuel to the fire.....from Worthy's comments, you can see he has taken notice.
  10. Comments made by Martinez. Martinez said that high winds — and not the Michigan State defense — slowed down Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson in the Spartans’ 28-14 win. He also said MSU is just “another good defense that we face.” MSU ranks second nationally in total defense (222.9 yards allowed per game) and first in Big Ten rushing defense (88.9 per game). “We play football how we play football, no matter what the weather is,” MSU defensive tackle Jerel Worthy said. “We go out in the rain, sleet, snow or sun. “Hopefully there’s no wind so he can make no excuses when we go out there and do our thing.” Looks like Worthy will get his wish. The National Weather Service forecast for game time in Lincoln, Neb., is sunny with a high of 61 and 8- to 10-m.p.h. winds. Some confidence shown by the Husker QB. I like it. This team is definitely a confident bunch and they should be. This makes the game Saturday a bit more interesting though for sure.
  11. Randle is a damn good player. That said, I hope to see Chase Rome and Jay Guy get a lot of action this weekend. Damn this is a big game.
  12. Tommie calls it like he sees it. He doesn't bullsh#t or sugar coat anything. I've noticed a lot of Husker fans have a very hard time with REALITY.
  13. Watson's track record proves that he would have easily found a way to make sure this offense was a failure. Beck is doing a far better job in his first year than Watson ever could have done. Of course, that's just my humble opinion. PS. Watson was a terrible coach.
  14. With Watson, I think our "Identity" was always so important because it was mainly related to people searching for one thing we are good at. One thing that when all else fails you can call upon to be successful. You can look at Watson's entire career here and it seemed we would be good at one thing one year, then completely good at another the next. It kind of explains how you go from a Zac Lee at QB one year to a Taylor Martinez starting as a freshman the next. The two guys have absolutely nothing in common as quarterbacks. Thus our offense really never found that "one thing". Beck speaks of being multiple, same as Watson but you can see Beck has clearly focused on establishing the run first and not asking Taylor to do more than he is capable of. I think Watson always struggled with that. You have to find what your players are capable of executing and then use that to your advantage. Regardless of what that thing is you rely on it and work towards adding more as the year progresses. You can clearly see that we are slowly adding to this offense and improving each week. Wisconsin was a great learning experience for this offense, especially for Beck. We really wanted that one. We wanted to take a huge step that week. Unfortunately we tried to take too big a step and it backfired on us. Beck gets a pass from me on that one. He's a first year guy. From what I can see, he clearly took it in stride and learned from it.
  15. Time for our defensive line to show up cuz' I guarantee you theirs will.
  16. Martinez is really stepping it up. That Ohio State game was great and again at Minnesota. I for one am damn proud of the way the kid has come out of the turmoil and responded. His team is really rallying and this offense is actually looking like a force out there. Beck is doing a great job with this offense and the young talent we have is really starting to shine through. We got a bright future.
  17. Time to dial up some safety blitzes and get some heat on Cousins. We can force this guy into some mistakes if we get in his face early. If the crowd is loud, and we can get in that young man's head early, we could have a seven to ten point win in the end. There's no reason I can see why either of these teams runs away with it though. Very evenly matched teams, but I do think we have an overall speed advantage at some key positions. You can see the youth on this team really starting to come into their own. I see some int's coming for Lavonte and for Dennard.
  18. i could see the line dropping to 3.5 or 4 by gameday. Us being at home has to be the reason we are favored.
  19. Backup time. Great game first teamers. Time for some young'un's to get their reps. This team is on the rise folks. No matter how this season goes, we are getting better every week.
  20. Can't wait to see this guy get a chance to warm up and get some time on the field. I think we got a good one here in Rome. I would like to see Jay Guy get out there a bit too. For those who saw him in the spring game, I would say he was the most impressive of all the DT's.
  21. Happy to see this. I hope this Guy gets on the field. The man is good.
  22. I hate this trying to post a video thing. of course, I am kind of a dumbass when it comes to figuring this stuff out.
  23. And I don't care if it was one time out of how many..but the kid actually turned his head towards an incoming ball. Here's to hoping SJB will be a steady player on the edges. Good point. He actually looked for the damn ball! When was the last time we've seen that consistently?
