Knapplc, I have always taken you as a solid Husker fan thick and thin. Not favoring one, but always in favor for the best of the team. You literally just threw one player under the bus to show your particular favor of a specific player. That specific player being Taylor Martinez. As you use that quote from the great Abraham Lincoln as a sign of ignorance on Dillard's part....could we not say that Taylor's mouth could have been kept shut this week in the press conference in which he in some ways made himself look like an immature fool? It's a bit hypocritical wouldn't you say? Take a guess as to which part of that quote that you're ignoring. I thought it was quite obvious, but apparently not. And here's the parts I'm referring to in which I pointed out that you threw him under the bus or toileted his career here at Nebraska....and I will bold it for you too since you seem to think you need to speak down to others as if they are somehow dumber than you......(in other words, you could have simply pointed out that part and I would have gotten your point sir) PhilDill's sophomore year was utterly forgettable. He contributed to the single worst defense this program has witnessed in 40 years that year.any other of his sad career Dillard was a case of absolute lack of effort. In my mind, the best two are Frazier and Crouch. Frazier gets the nod from me just because I really though he could sling the ball pretty well. A little better than Crouch could. But as far as running the option goes, both were masters of the universe. Crouch got the Heisman, Frazier should have. One guy who didn't get all the accolades these two got, but surely could have gone down as one of the best if given the chance........Joey Ganz. That kid was incredible in my opinion. One of my biggest knocks on Shawn Watson........the fact that this kid rode the pine for his entire career. The man should have been on the field!

I think this will be a close game. Simply because Ohio State may be struggling on offense, but they still have a very solid defense in my opinion. This could be a low scoring affair? Unless we really come out fired up on offense and run the game plan that we wish we would have run in Madison. I was really excited for that Wisconsin game, but now that is over and I feel like this game will be more important to our future than that Wisconsin game was. Following tough losses is when you find out the type of young men you have recruited to your football team. I think we have some good hard working determined young men here. Taylor Martinez included. I respect the fact that he was pissed, and I don't blame him a bit for being mad. The best part is, it shows me he cares. Let's go men, rise up and let's start the undefeated season from this Saturday on.

Positive note. This game taught us many things. Now did we learn anything?

I draw the line at crap like that. When you have to make it personal and straight-up attack the player himself over it, you've gone too far. Most of what I've seen here so far (What would you rather do than watch Taylor throw, Give Taylor a nickname, etc.) seems fairly tongue-in-cheek to me. It's not flattering obviously, but I don't see it as an intended personal attack on Taylor. I completely agree with that. I don't think any of it has been too personal. I have been called names or ridiculed before, and I stood up for myself and got pissed whenever it occurred. I don't blame Martinez for standing up for himself and getting pissed if he feels like he's being attacked. It's only human. As much as it is human nature for people to point fingers or call names when they are frustrated, the same as it will be human nature for a man to defend his character when he feels he is under attack. As a competitor, I expect nothing less from Martinez. Now the true answers come out about his character as a competitor when we see how he responds to the challenges he will face here at Nebraska. The questions about his personal character don't need to be answered to any of us dipsh*t fans here. We are f'ing' football fans. We gripe when we lose, we cheer when we win. I don't know Taylor personally, and most all of us here don't either. Taylor doesn't need to please any of us, on or off the field. As long as he feels good about himself when he lays down at night. As long as he knows the people he cares about are proud of him......that's it. The rest is MEANINGLESS. This is after all....JUST A GAME. I think Ndamukong Suh put it best when he was called a dirty player by many fans and media............"I'll consider myself dirty when my mom calls me dirty". Well Taylor, if you let the fans or media affect you in such a way......Call your mom or dad and see what they have to say about it. When they question who you are, then you may look in the mirror and consider some changes. If they stand by you just the way you are, then you have nothing to worry about.

These coaches are so afraid to mess with Martinez's mentality. I think he is a mental wreck already. If he got benched it would just ruin him completely. Plus his daddy would be on the phone in a heartbeat.

True, with Wilson's accuracy, he should have thrown far more interceptions. Unless he was just able to grasp the whole concept of home and away jersey's a little faster than Martinez could.
