  1. I wonder if his HS coach is still in his ear. He was the main reason Thenarse didn't commit while on his trip to Lincoln. It's just a rumour.
  2. Any player you have a question about or you believe should be or is going to be offered by Nebraska will go here. Always trying to keep it organized!!!! eric the red
  3. Auburn runs a 2 back set as well. Well they did when they had Carnell Williams and Ronnie brown 2 years ago. Both were first round top 5 round picks like Bush and Lendale White most likely this season
  4. I have talked to him before through other recruiting means and i don't pose any violation because everything is done according to the NCAA handbook.
  5. USC runs it 80% of the time. What Nebraska and USC are doing is a carbon copy of each other, except USC is loaded with more talent right now.
  6. Spring games tickets are not a problem, you can buy them right before kickoff from the ticket office. The problem is finding a good seat really quick before it fills up. As far as games Baytown, i would recommend the Kansas game because a lot of Kansas fans return tickets and they are easier to find in my opinion
  7. Good post Roy. People need to keep in mind that these recruits have usually researched the schools they are looking at, know exactly what kinda playing time they will get from the talks they have with coaches, what positions they could be playing, whether a school has a particular major they plan on majoring in just to name a few. If a kid chooses another school, just move on (unless it's Josh Freeman )
  8. Guys, PLEASE don't send a PM to Will Henry. It is considered an NCAA violation if you start corrosponding back and forth with him like that. If you have anything to say, make sure you say it in the post here and not in private. That way, everything is documented. Please watch what you say to him as well for the next 2 weeks untill LOI
  9. Colorado's recruiting class ranks 73rd in the nation. BURN CU BURN!!!!!!
  10. Pederson is to busy trying to get money instead of book some decent teams. That and he doesn't want to play any one to good. And you know this how exactly? I rest my case
  11. I just dont see this happening. Not to be negative, but this could swing either way, and with the relationship he has with A.J Wallace and proximity to home (lets be realstic, it has to weigh in somewhat), i just think he is Penn St bound (i have no evidence to support this, but rather just gut feeling). Lets hope i am wrong.
  12. Yeah that's correct, plus it would be hard broadcasting the same game on 2 different networks. I am sure both networks wouldn't like that
  13. Were they divers and couldn't talk to each other because they were underwater and it's hard to talk to each other under water? Was one of them in a submarine, the other a scuba diver and that's why they couldn't communicate? Was one of them scuba diving and the other dead at the bottom of the sea and that's why they couldn't great each other?
  14. I don't know what the coaches are thinking at this point. This is pure speculation on my part but i think this is a backup plan to Evan Royster who i expect to commit to Penn St tommarow. I don't think it has much to do with Kenny Wilson because i think he's solid for now, but he does have 2 visits scheduled for Florida and Tennessee on back to back consecutive weekends before LOI day. Florida got a commit of 4 star Chevon Walker and they already have 26 recruits and are over the NCAA max of 25. They have no scholarships left to give out, yet they have 6 visits for this weekend including 5 star RB C.J Spiller and the following weekend 4 star RB Knowshon Moreno and Kenny Wilson. Florida is hosting 16 official visitors on 1/20 (5 of which are already Florida verbals) Here is some info on Griffin. Rushed for 1,999 yards and 23 touchdowns this season. Was the class 3A offensive MVP Particpated in Max Emfingers Bowl for seniors La. RB William Griffin Will Commit if Offered This is from Yahoo Sports which is a free article from the Scout.com network. Keep in mind this is about 10 days old and he has changed his Michigan visit to January 27th but they have yet to offer Running back William Griffin of Patterson, La., High School is participating in the Max Emfinger 2006 High School All-American Bowl Game Classic in Shreveport, La., on Thursday. GoBlueWolverine.com will be in attendance, and had a chance to speak with Griffin during a media session on Weds. The All-State player wants to be a Wolverine, all that is needed is an offer. With Carlos Brown of Heard County High School in Franklin, Ga., already in Ann Arbor enrolling in classes, and the strong possibility of landing Brandon Minor of Varina High in Richmond, Va., will Michigan take a third running back in the recruiting class of 2006? If so, William Griffin of Patterson, La., High School has already made his decision. "I'm going up to Michigan on an official visit on Jan. 13," Griffin told GoBlueWolverine.com on Wednesday. "If they offer, I'm going to commit. It's going to be Michigan for me. I talk to Coach Fred Jackson almost every day." Griffin won't be going to Ann Arbor alone. He said he will be accompanied by his two brothers - the younger one, a rising junior wide receiver who Griffin said is also being looked at by Coach Jackson. Griffin said his older brother, Michael, played football at Nicholls State. "I know they have Mike Hart, and that No. 3 (Kevin Grady) is a freshman, but I know I can go up there and compete with those guys," he said. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound Griffin is so set on becoming a Wolverine, and confident of receiving an offer during his visit, that he is already spurning the advances of other schools. "Nebraska came by to talk to me, I hadn't ever heard from them before," he said. "I told them thanks, but I really wasn't interested. Arkansas offered me, but I don't want to go there." The First Team All-State selection is participating in Max Emfinger's All-American Bowl Classic which will be played on Thursday at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, La. GBW will be in attendance to get a first-hand look at Griffin, who Emfinger calls the top back in Louisiana this season. Yahoo Sports.com
  15. Troy for example playing FSU, Miami, Texas, USC..etc is different then playing Nebraska because those schools are in hotbed recruiting areas Nebraska isn't, so it's harder to get teams like Ohio St, Florida, Georgia, LSU to come to Nebraska because they see no benefit in it for them
  16. I still question how effective Herian will really be. There's a possibility he may never play again. I really feel that way. If he does will he be tentative, shy away from contact????? WIll he be a junior or senior? he will be listed as a senior, but will still have 2 years of elegibility left since he never redshirted Herian burned his redshirt this season. He will be a 5th year senior next year. I look for Mueller to be used as the other TE still in 2 TE sets, since he was the best blocking tight end that we have(unless Tomerlin turns out to be a great blocker). Like ETR said, who knows how effective Herian will be. Who knows how effective Tomerlin will be? From what I recall, he hasn't played tight end in a game for almost 5 years(although he was practicing with the TE's this season). I would like to see what Pierre Allen can do, but he may be a candidate for a redshirt to learn the offense and get in a groove working with Watson. Actually IIRC, Herian was granted a medical redshirt waiver this year meaning it count a little different toward his eligibility (similiar to Jason White who was at OU for 6 years). Medical redshirts are different then the regular redshirts. NCAA rules state you are allowed 4 years of playing time, 1 year of redshirt and 1 more extra year with a medical waiver as long as it fits certain guidelines (don't recall them off the top of my head) to be exempt from a regular redshirt. So in reality, Herian would have 2 more years but only 1 of them is eligible for playing time, which means if he sat out this seaosn, he could return next season. I doubt that happens because Herian graduates in May, so it would be stupid to hang around for almost a year and a half after graduating.
  17. Did the 2 friends recognize each other? Were the close to each other or related? Were they being spied on, watched, monitored in any sort? Was the meeting place on land? Was the meeting place up in the air? Was the meeting place under the sea or like on a boat at sea? Was the meeting place someplace in outter space? Was the meeting place of significance? Were other people allowed to talk in that place? Were they afraid someone might overhear them? Were the 2 friends dolls and that's why they couldn't speak?
  18. Hey Will, thanks for the tape. Glad u made it over here to Huskerboard By the way, both Corey young (the guy that was on the visit with you) and Nunn had nothing but praise to say about you and how much they liked hanging out with you. Just thought i let you know. Email me if you need anything.
  19. I haven't heard anything new. If he had joined the team, Callahan would have said it, but he only confirmed Spain and Haines as the 2 guys so far joining the team.
  20. He is down to Nebraska and NU like Eric mentioned. It's a crapshot right now with both schools having a 50/50 shot at him. Penn St did get a commit from 3 star RB Travis McBride and they also will be giving A.J Wallace a shot at RB (supposedly, we will see if they actually do). Penn St graduates Tony Hunt and Austin Scott next year and will have 2 juniors on the roster in Rodney Kinlaw and Matt Hahn. Although this is 50/50, i think NU still has a shot with him to come in, redshirt his first year (which he has no problem with) and learn the offense. NU is down to 2 scholarships, one of which will definetly go to a DT without a doubt. That leaves 1 more scholarship. Could it be his? We will know in a few days
  21. I doubt we see Phillips anytime soon. He is a horrible pass blocker and doesn't know how to shake off defenders. He lacks speed and the only thing going for him is his height. If Herian isn't starting, i expect Tomerlin to get the majority of the snaps next year untill we cna recruit a quality TE to back him up. I don't expect Phillips and Mueller to last long and expect them to transfer to Northern Colorado to follow downing in a year or so.
  22. 1 guy who i think will be a definite starter is Nunn. The guy proved he can be counted on to make plays when it counts. Swift is second on that list and he is another great offensive weapon. Right now, our WR's corp is going to be second to none in the Big12. Nunn= proven WR Swift= proven WR Peterson= Proven WR (although he could get moved to TE with the WR's coming in) Brooks= still has to work on getting better and hasn't proved he is a threat Hardy= was a threat early on and then slowely dissapeared ??? Meno Holt= sees some playing time but i don't think he will be a major factor Purfiy= This guy will be a starter in my opinion and get 50% of the pass thrown Will Henry= Similiar to Holt and i expect him to be our deep threat because of his speed Leon Jackson= likely to redshirt and learn the offense Spain= Unknown at this time, but he's spent the last year learning the offensive playbook while attending another college. That's my assesment.
  23. Our special teams did a hell of a job this year covering kickoffs and punts. I think there was only 3 maybe bad plays this year that i can recall. One was in the Missouri game, the other 2 were against Kansas St when we fumbled inside the 20 on consecutive plays. Props go to Bill Busch for the turnaround
  24. The only confirmed dates are USC (9/16) and Troy on 9/23. That leaves 2 non-conference games for 9/2 and 9/9. What date was your MTS game with vandy?
  25. HAHAHA..so now fans of a team aren't proof enough to know what is going on inside their own team. You make me laugh dude considering i provided "proof" and you have YET to provide any proof that the CAL's Offensive coordinator job is by name only and doesn't really have any duties because Tedford calls the shots supposedly. Go ahead, if my proof is SO FLAWED, prove me wrong instead of trying to avoid the answer. P.S: Nevermind, i dont want anything to do with you or your response because it's only going to derail the thread. Asking you to provide some proof other then a he said/she said propaganda is like asking George Bush to provide proof that Iraq had WMD's.
