  1. This new deal with the new Big 10/old Big 12 (dont get me started on the numbers, i dont even know where to start, Big 10>12 , Big 12>10, but the Big 10 was actually 11 ) The tv deal is just another feather for texas. Big 12 never wanted to do their own network but it woulda ok for Texas to have their own. All crap, the whole conference was a joke from day, we're just finding out how much bs went on behind closed doors now.
  2. And Nebraska has zero opportunity to bring an end to that because???
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt most hate/dislike between programs nowadays caused by fanbases. I just really appreciate the way, from what i have read, that Big 10 teams/programs have handled this whole thing. They were all very receptive. So i think it's only prudent to start the whole thing off on a classy note. We're Nebraska, there's a reason why there hasnt been them kind of emoticons before. Just an opinion.
  4. Yep, just another date on the calender in the "Shove up NU's rear" tour. Hope everyone's ready for it, EVERYWHERE.
  5. If you could retype all that in a legible fashion, it would be appreciated. I literally cannot understand 98% of that.
  6. NO, I SAY SCREW THE BIG 12. THEY TRIED TO PLAY US, BUT LED BY A GREAT MAN, WE GOT OUT. WE BELONG IN THE BIG 10, AND 10 YEARS FROM NOW WHEN EVERYTHING IS HUNKY DORY, WE'LL ALL SAY WE SHOULDA BEEN THERE FROM THE GET GO. THE BIG 12 IS SICK, A DYING PUPPY IF YOU WILL. SURE, THEY BOUGHT A COUPLE MORE GASPS TODAY, AND NOW THE "POINT THE FINGER AT NEBRASKA" GAME WILL BEGIN, AND BELIEVE ME, IT VERY WELL COULD AFFECT THE OUTCOME OF SOME GAMES THIS YEAR.
  7. Let me think long and hard about that one.
  8. I WANT TO MAKE THIS LOUD AND CLEAR. NEBRASKA DIDNT BREAK UP CRAP. LAST TIME I CHECKED THERE IS STILL A CONFERENCE WITH 10 TEAMS. NEBRASKA AND COLORADO ARE THE ONLY 2 THAT HAVE LEFT. IF THEYRE SO DAMN UPSET ABOUT IT, THEN MOVE OSU TO THE NORTH AND KEEP YOUR DAMN CONFERENCE AND SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY. D U N
  9. The damn Big 12 has been all about the south since day one all the way till the present. Why was the ultimatum given to Nebraska and Missouri? So the South teams would know what they need to do when an offer comes from the Pac 10. Think about that So the South teams would know what they need to do when an offer comes from the Pac 10. Not to mention make sure Texas is well taken care once everything goes down.
  10. I see that, sounds like orangebloods and texas are trying to be quick at condemning nebraska for ruining their pandora conference. Ha.
  11. 10/11 reports that no athletic staff was notified of anything and that only a conference call discussion took place today and that a presentation by Pearlman and Osborne is still set for friday to the board of regents. It's obvious that this is inevitable, but espn busting the story like it's official according to whatever the hell orangebloods is seems to be bogus.
  12. You must be a masochist bro. I agree, is it just me or is all this talk makin the offseason go by faster, cuz hey, 2010 is less than 3 months away already.
  13. The government has no business involving themselves in the competition aspect of the NCAA, even if they are publicly funded. The only reason they do is because some senator or representative's home team doesn't make it into a good bowl game or whatever. If their team had gone to a good bowl, he wouldn't have ever opened his fat, double-talking mouth. We are not talking about the publically funded institutions, but rather the self-sustained and doner-funded athletic programs. That is where the guberment has no business. Now if some schools were gettin shorted dollars to support academic programs in publically funded institutions, then yes, but that is a different road. It's like comparing apples to onions
  14. Which is complete and absolute BS considering they have a bit more important issues to worry about other than collegiat athletics and their governing bodies. Our government cant even operate itself, so how would they successfully involve themselves in the control of college athletics, but i guess this would be a rant for another day. Yes, these things do piss me off.
  15. I'll tell ya the first thing that needs improved on is the men's restroom situation in the new north stadium concourse. That is just plain embarrassing for such a nice new facility and i would personally like to find the engineer/architect/designer or whatever hotshot name for him/her and slap'em across the face just for being stupid.
  16. I'm just sold on the fact that Osborne saw this coming 15 years ago before the inaugural Big 12 athletic season. A conference cannot build its regime around 1-4 schools as the Big 12 did. And what makes me even more bitter is the fact that they brought 4 schools into the core Big 8, which was growing more and more successful WITHOUT the Tex-asses, and proceeded to take over and get their way. Isnt it funny how when the Big 12 started, Texas and Oklahoma, etc were a step behind the North and now it's more than flipped over a decade later.
  17. I think it's time we just go along with the fact (yes, fact) that something is about to happen that will change the face of college athletics, and it's more than nebraska and/or missouri goin to the Big 10(13)??? . There are going to be multiple moves and it's just the way the business works, cuz hey, thats all college athletics are anymore, way more than they ever were.
  18. There, i fixed the typos in that discussion.
  19. Thats because without Texas, the Big12 has nothing. Texas is realistically the only thing the B12 has that other conferences would want. But in the end it will be the ultimate demise of the Big12, because as we have seen the rest of us are fed up with this crap. I sure hope we bail and go to the Big10. There is no reason other than pure tradition or nostalga to stay in the Big12. And if it wasnt for the conference babying Texas and givin em everything all the time, the other 11 programs would be just as much.
  20. Must know a game in Lincoln begins with the tunnel walk, NOT the kickoff.
  21. It's easy for a K-stater to talk crap on the internet when they dont have to worry about someone cavin their face in with their boot just for bein stupid
  22. Seemed to work for Dillard. Dillard's wasn't in the middle of his senior season. No, it was LITERALLY just 4 weeks prior.
  23. Not much talk? Just look thru a page or two, i think there was a good half dozen threads about it at one time.
  24. I guess i dont see the big deal anymore about someone saying McCoy is better than Suh. Suh is better now, but who will be more successful in the NFL, who knows. My money right now is on Suh, just because of the man he is and his work ethic and such, but honestly, you really never know how someone will turn out once millions are layed in front of their face. Lastly, i honestly think Suh-barring injury- will wind up being a reggie white, ray lewis type of household name on defense, even if he is with the Lions, but if he somehow winds up on a better team later on look out.
