  1. Absolutely biggest piece of crap call I've ever seen. I'd get the call if Cooper drove through him, but he was stopping. F the refs, they've been terrible all f'in game.
  2. Good first 25 minutes, let off the gas, almost get a sack that was a converted 1st down by UCLA and a score afterwards with 2 minutes left in the half. 3 passing TDs by Martinez.
  3. Generous spot by the refs, might win the challenge, but they still get the first.
  4. Got past the line of scrimmage. Good tackle, nice pursuit.
  5. They stopped us from snapping the ball, but it seemed like the play clock was still rolling. That's why we called the timeout.
  6. The balls were thrown high, but they absolutely need to be caught.
  7. One thing that might be overlooked in the relevency talk is just how much access to games has changed in the last 15-20 years. Before, there were only very few games a week, and since NU was at its highest at that time, we almost always were the game on. Now those kids in Kansas and Missouri can watch KU, KSU, and MU with very little hassle. So of course those kids are going to like the team that's closer to home.
  8. I think if the A&M game doesn't happen the way it happened (the penalties, Pelini blowing up, and Martinez getting his ankle stepped on by Caputo aggravating the injury more) we would be in a way better position as a program right now. I feel we absolutely would've won that game if the refs had called the game even a little more evenly. And we are on the upside going into the Big XII championship game without that blow up hanging over the program. Hell the blow up is brought up every time a bad call goes against us because the TV cameras automatically focus on Bo. Now Bo has made a tremendous effort these last couple years to calm down, and he absolutely has succeeded. It's hard not to like what Bo has done with this program (really since he came back) off the field. Now he just needs to get some more on the field success. Beating UCLA would be a good first step, but the biggest thing would be going no worse than 3-1 in November.
  9. Outside of a couple of hiccups on offense and 1 hiccup on defense to start the second half, we played about as complete a football game that I can remember. Sure it was Southern Miss, but we played exactly how we should play. The 4 ints were nice to see. One stat we can forget about, consecutive games with 2 or more turnovers. Somethings still need to be cleaned up, but it was a good performance.
  10. We had three against CU in 2009. Don't know about four though. Idaho in 2010 we had 5, with 2 returned for tds.
  11. I think it's going to be very exciting next year with the QB race. Armstrong is going a lot of things well, but Stanton could come in and take the job.
  12. It's Southern Miss, but damn does it feel good to control the game as we have on Offense and Defense, minus a couple of hiccups.
  13. Trivia: Todd Monken is a former Big 12 offensive coordinator (Okie Lite), just like Dave Christensen (Mizzou). Do I think this matters? No. I expect we'll kick SoMiss to the curb and get on with the season. We've never faced off against Monken. Started at OSU in '11.
  14. As long as he's on the main BTN channel, it should get the Nebraska game. If you have any other trouble, BTN has a game finder where you input the tv provider and your zip code and it tells you what channels the games will be on. To make it easier, here's the link: http://btn.com/about/btn-gamefinder/ If you check that and you check the guide, and it's still not saying the Nebraska game on the right station, then like BOJ and Knapplc said, the guide probably needs updating.
  15. Ditto, he was not playing because he's not the dime linebacker. Saw him a couple of times running down on kickoff coverage. No problems, just not in position to play on D because we were in dime the entire game.
  16. These are good stats and Pelini is well aware of them. It's why emphasis was placed on improved recruiting the past two seasons and why there is a focus of getting playmakers on the field defensively. There are a couple of chess pieces Pelini and Pap were examining in a game situation. One game does not define a season, yet there are a lot of people here who are acting like it is.
  17. Smith played like the QB from Texas Tech in '09 and we could hardly defend him with the best of Bo's defense. Overall it wasn't a good night for the defense, but there are a number of positives to take away.
  18. So you're saying we may have just beat the champs of the Idaho Potato Bowl.....Nice Best team in MWC is better than Boise State, who is a pretty good team. We had this game in hand, and then Wyoming had 2 very quick drives that resulted in 2 tds. The 4th Quarter of the game needs to be better, but I'm not proclaiming the season being over after the first game because we allowed a lot of yards on defense. Do I recognize we need a whole sh#t ton of improvement? Absolutely, but it was the first game played by a lot of people on defense. They can get better and I believe they will get better.
  19. We were able to recover Imani's fumble. That one I remember. But I didn't realize T-Mart had fumbled on that 4th and 1 The ball was stripped from him and it wasn't until the replay that I saw the DB had done it.
